UPDATE: The 25% off stacks with the 30% off sale section! And Birchbox has added a few new free gifts including a Baggu!

So with the 30% off sale section (which includes many Limited Edition boxes) + the free Baggu + free sample pack + 25% off discount, here's an order I was able to do:

Order total: $35.70

Let us know what you grab!

If you are new to the Birchbox Black Friday sale, here's the original post:

The Birchbox Black Friday Sale is happening now and it is awesome. All customers can save 25% off any purchase of $75 or more. This works on both shop orders and subscriptions. AND it's actually even better than it sounds. Here's how to hack it to make the most of it:

Birchbox Shop:

I highly recommend buying Limited Edition boxes with this sale. They are already a great value compared to the cost already, and 25% off is the deepest shop discount Birchbox has offered all year. They make great gifts, and they are great for keeping too! Here's how to maximize shop offers:

You actually don't have to spend $75 to trigger the automatic 25% discount in the cart. As long as you get your cart to $65, you can then add a free mystery sample pack valued at $10, and that will trigger the 25% discount:

So at this point, I'm getting $66 worth of Limited Edition boxes + kits for $49.50, and I'm also getting a free mystery sample pack. But wait, there's more!

Next, add the free gift of your choice:

I decided to add a free pair of Bombas Wool Socks ($18 Value) to my order:

So final order, free pair of socks, free mystery sample pack duo, a Limited Edition Box + Birchbox Kiehl's Kit for $49.50!

UPDATE - the socks have sold out, but they've added new free gifts!

Next up, Birchbox subscriptions:

Both Birchbox + Birchbox Man subscriptions are on sale, too. 25% off an annual subscription brings the cost down to $82.50 - which breaks down to $6.87 a box. That's the lowest cost they've offered for subscriptions all year.

  • Subscribe to Birchbox with the 25% discount here.
  • Subscribe to Birchbox Man with the 25% discount here.

You can't stack the subscription with the free sample pack + free gift of your choice. Unless...

You buy a Birchbox subscription as a gift! (You can always gift it to yourself.)

FYI - gift subscriptions come with a $2.95 service fee, so that brings the cost per box up to $7.12 a box. But, if a free gift is appealing to you, it's totally worth that extra $2.95! (The Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion I added as my free gift has a retail value of $25!)

Is anyone else having problems with Birchbox or with their orders from this sale?

I placed a few orders & so far have already received 2 wrong items, a broken leaking lid from an unprotected liter bottle of shampoo and an deluxe sample oribe product that arrived open, wet & almost empty. They haven’t even responded to the email I sent about the first incorrect item I received & the items are out of stock so I’m worried…

Updated: 5 wrong blankets received from the Birchbox sale and now item is out of stock. I have to take them all to the post office and ship them back to get a refund & I didn’t get any of the actual blankets I ordered so I don’t have any of the gifts I had bought.

The item they sent me wasn’t even on their website-they advertised a different blanket & don’t seem to care, really. Customer service is awful.
I recommend if anyone ordered from this sale, check your boxes as soon as they come for correct items or damage and don’t count on any items from this sale for holiday gifting.

They’ve just given me another chore to do at the holidays, taken up a lot of my time and aggravation and added a trip to the post office (with a big box of blankets to package & ship) to my to do list- and I have to buy packing tape to ship it so I’m pretty mad at the moment that they are actually costing me time & money for nothing! Birchbox has lost me as a customer. 🙁

And they sent me an insulting email with lots of !!!! Thanking me for my ‘reply’! telling me to have a great day!, and that shipping back to them was free of charge! They also specified that I wouldn’t get my refund until my return reached them ‘in the office’ and they ‘reached back out to me to confirm’. I don’t know what that means but they sound like they think they’re doing me some big favor letting me do a lot of work to return their mistake…and I should obviously be very happy about it all!

K

I received an email saying my Birchbox order was shipped. I received a second email saying an item in my order was unavailable (the free gift) but not to worry as I wasn’t charged for it. Haha, cyber Monday or April Fools’?

They should let you choose another free gift!

Does anyone know when this deal last until?

I just wanted to say thank you for this post, Liz! I got amazing deals on Christmas gifts because of all the work you did 🙂

Yay!!!

I splurged on a full-size Youth To The People moisturizer for the first time ever! I got that and several other items for the price of just the moisturizer! This is one of my favorite Black Friday splurges.

I placed 3 orders yesterday and used my points/credits along with the 25% off discount. The total that they charged me was not what showed up in my bank account. The credits I used did not go through…just be careful and double check your bank statement!!!

Nicole

This happened to me also and has happened several times in the past. They told me to use the app next time. Did you go through the app or site?

Reply ButtonReply

Diana G.

I went through the website. I’ll download the app today. Thank you!

Tracy

FYI, the Oribe Limited Edition box is on sale now. If you’ve been eyeing it, now is the time!

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

For some reason, that box isn’t showing up in the sale section and when I added it to my cart, the discount didn’t stack like the others had. BB’s IG post about this has been up since yesterday, so you’d think that would be plenty of time to move it under “Sale”. Hmmm…

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

They actually reduced the price of the Oribe box, it used to be $68 and now it’s $55. With the 25% discount it is $41.25!

Paula

I spent $90 in two separate orders. I got a few sapphire beauty blenders, a Devacurl kit, a smashbox kit, and that cute lip kit – plus two mystery gifts, the free bag and a free mystery birchbox!!!!

It’s VERY rare to get 50% off or more retail on cosmetics (unless you shop on eBay or score at TJMaxx), so to get 50% off plus multiple free gifts and free shipping AND use loyalty points – WELL…I have to say this was definitely the winner for black Friday deals.

Bravo Birchbox and thanks to Liz for the stacking alert!

Erika

Thanks, Paula! I am excited to hear that these are really as good of deals as they seem. I ought to slow down since I’m about to hit Ace status and only started ordering during this sale. Had no idea Birchbox had such depths of products before. I’m just starting my collection. Seems a great time to try lots.

Liz Cadman

Yay! I totally stocked up on Beautyblenders, too! 🙂

Chris

I wasn’t sure if it would work at BirchboxMan but it DID, and I wound up with an amazing deal, thanks!

BeccaA

Thanks, Liz, this is amazing! I ended up with two fragrance sets (combined RV of approximately $280) plus the sample pack and Baggu tote for just under $39. Such a great deal!! Between this and BTBF, you’ve given me the best treat yo self week ever!

I placed an order yesterday with the 25% off and was happy with the deal I got (S’well traveler bottle, Kosas tinted face oil & a free Smith&Cult tinted lip oil for $53 with my points). Since I’m Ace status, I earned $6.90 in points on yesterday’s order. Today I picked up the volume hair kit, Ouai rose oil/conditioner due, solinotes perfume kit + free baggu + free MSP for $35 with all the discounts.

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

What are these Baggu bags? Never heard of them.

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

They are lightweight, foldable & compact grocery shopping bags in fun designs.

Reply ButtonReply

Pamela

Thanks, that’s where my head went, to groceries, but wasn’t sure.

Nicole

I did 2 orders. Got 2 of the ouai sets with the oil and leave in conditioner (which I highly recommend) plus the mystery pack and full size Liz Earle eye lotion for $47! Then I did the Vogue box, mystery gift and Liz Earle for $35! They were supposed to apply my points for the second order but looks like they didn’t. We be had this happen many times so check on that for your orders. Can’t beat free shipping and no tax on top of that!

Reply ButtonReply

Kyuu

Added the Baggu code, saw that it was in my bag when I checked out… not there when processed. The code still shows as applied in my discounts though. Contacted CS… we’ll see if it comes or not. I wanted the Baggu bag or else I probably could’ve skipped.

The free gifts never appear on your order, but mine have always arrived. Don’t know why they do that, but no need to worry.

Reply ButtonReply

TK

They don’t appear on mine either but never had a problem not getting them.

Amanda

Beauty Blenders for $10.50! Yes please! Bought the sapphire beauty blender, the mystery pack, the 3 free minis, and free constellation bag for $21. Great deal.

Reply ButtonReply

Bell

Where is the 3 free minis? Cannot find them. Thanks.

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

Yees! I’m placing a second order to get more beauty blenders and use my points!!

Reply ButtonReply

Elizabeth

I bought the 1.7 oz Juicy Couture perfume, originally $72. It was in the sale section, so 30% off + another 25% off for BF + free sample pack + free mystery Birchbox from the GWP + free shipping, all for $37.80 – can’t be beat! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

I bought so many things. I don’t regret. I need to work my tail off to pay my credit card bill but I don’t regret it a tiny bit

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

I’ve used this deal 3 times now (thank you!), but the last time I tried it a few minutes ago there seemed to be a problem. When I added the $10 “Spend $30+, get a free mystery sample pack” to put me over the limit for the free gift, they included the $10 cost of that mystery box. Previously, that cost was not included in the total. Perhaps they’re onto us 🙂

Anyway, I got some killer deals, so I’m not complaining at all! I bought two Limited Edition boxes, one of which I’ve purchased before (Vogue). The total cost for that one was $29 because I used a few $$ in points. I actually don’t like one item in the box (not a fan of the mascara), but that total is less than the cost of the Huxley Grab Water, which I adore. And I will definitely use everything else as well.

I got the Dazzle box for a bit more since it’s not on sale and I can’t stack the 25% off for Aces and 30% off sale. I have never purchased that one and it’s a good time to try it for sure.

The last purchase were a couple of stand-alone sets.

My free gifts were the Liz Earle Eye Bright ($25 value) and Baggu x 2 ($28 total value), which I’m really excited to get.

The total value of everything I bought (without the deals) was $284 and with the savings brought it down to $99.20, which is 65% off. Not bad at all!!

I did use around $10 in point cash and in the total above before savings, I’m estimating the mystery box at $10 since that’s what they sell it for without purchasing anything else. Again, THANK YOU to Liz for posting the step-by-step.

What an incredible deal! I got Limited Editions Vogue & Millennial; All About Volume Kit; Intro to Dry Shampoo Kit; Makeup Eraser Duo and the freebies – sample pack and Baggu. I have spent way too much time on the Birchbox site this weekend, but so worth it -Thanks again Liz!

I also overbought using these stacked codes. Thank you for the heads up!!

I jumped on the ouai leave in conditioner bogo deal (2 full sizes for $26) and the mac fix + trio which is $24 at all other retailers but is listed for $20 on Birchbox. I added the free gift to bump my subtotal to over $50 and added the free mystery Birchbox with 50+ purchase https://www.birchbox.com/product/31406

This was fun! I got the Beautyblender gift set, the hair volume set, the baggu and the mystery sample for about $35…. I had $1.60 in points! Thank you!

Erika

Erika

to follow-up. i kept scrolling down and found that Briogeo Hair-O-Scopes Brightest Stars and R+Co Time Travel Set were also part of the stacking promotion. Makes them about 47.5% off + gift with purchase items. seemed like great deals to me. i am new at this. is it normal to have such discounts early in the season?

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I actually just hit complete order on some items that had been in my cart since Friday. This is great for anyone who just wanted Oribe or Lipstick Queen items from the Popsugar Site Crash Saturday Sale.

Reply ButtonReply

AAC

The sale items were not stacking before with the 25% off – is it only some items?

Reply ButtonReply

CHS

It’s only certain items and only for Aces.

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Do you have any non-sale items in your cart? That might be the issue.

me

I had to empty my cart and re-add the items to get the discount.

Got an outstanding deal! THANKS!

I figured it out. It was one of the MAC holiday sets – and one variation was part of the sale (neutral eyes) and the other variation (smoky eyes, under the same product number/listing) wasn’t. Of course, I was trying to add the smoky eyes. Darn.
