Target Good Clean Fun Holiday Beauty Box Review
Raw Sugar Body Wash Raw Coconut and Mango, 2 fl oz - Estimated Value $0.56 (Buy 25 fl oz. for $6.99)
This body wash is made up of a variety of different natural products, including hibiscus flower, vitamins C and E, and aloe vera. The scent is very light and fresh, and I didn’t notice it lingering after my shower, which is great! The formula is silky, with no exfoliating granules, and foamed up nicely. One neat thing to note about this company is that for every Raw Sugar product purchased, a bar of soap is donated through DirectRelief, an organization that helps people in need in over 70 countries.
Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash, 0.7 fl oz - Estimated Value $0.91 (Buy 5 fl oz for $6.49)
This face wash is 100% vegan and is designed to gently remove makeup and impurities using ingredients from the sea. It smells just like coconuts! It’s snowing where I live, and for a moment while I was washing my face I felt like I was on the beach in Mexico! My skin felt clean after using this, but it didn’t remove all of my makeup completely - I still had to use a makeup remover wipe afterward.
Renpure Tea Tree & Lemon Sage Refreshing Moisture Shampoo, 3.4 fl oz FULL SIZE! - Retail Value $2.99
This is a sulfate- and paraben-free shampoo formulated to give your hair a hydrating boost. I love the smell of tea tree products, and this shampoo packs a great punch with the scent. It smells amazing! Sulfate-free shampoos lack the suds that are found with traditional shampoos, and this product really doesn’t foam or have any sudsing action at all. My hair definitely felt very clean after using it, but I didn’t feel like the shampoo was as hydrating as advertised (but I have very dry hair, so other people may have better results).
SheaMoisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Body Lotion, 3.2 fl oz - Estimated Retail Value $2.21 (Buy 13 fl oz for $8.99, found here for $5.39)
This lotion is an all-natural blend of 100% virgin coconut oil, coconut milk, and coconut water. It’s made to provide hydration for all skin types. The lotion is very, very thick, and I found it hard to spread around on my skin. Once it soaked in, though, it left absolutely no greasy feeling whatsoever and my skin felt super hydrated.
Weleda Almond Smoothing Facial Cream, 1.0 fl oz - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $19.99
This is a rich cream designed to provide intense hydration for your face and neck. This product was my favorite find out of the box! There is little to no scent (perfect for using on your face), and the formula is so soothing. I would recommend using this face cream before bed and letting the product soak in overnight - it is too thick (in my opinion) to use underneath makeup. A little goes a long way, so I’ll get lots of use out of this product - I love that they included the full size!
The Verdict: The total estimated retail value of this box is $26.66, which doesn’t take into account that the travel sizes of the body wash and face wash likely retail for more than the estimated value above (I just couldn’t find the individual travel/deluxe sample sizes for sale). I think this is a good value for a $9.99 box! The full size of the Weleda facial cream alone is worth more than the price of the box. I think this would be a great purchase if you are traveling for the holidays, as you would be set to go with your washing and moisturizing needs. It is also a great way to try out natural brands if you like to use those!
