Knours In-Bed Cleansing Wipes (28 sheets) – Retail Value $12.00

Yes! I was so excited to see makeup remover wipes, especially ingredient conscious gentle ones! I’m a big fan of this type of product and use makeup remover wipes daily. I travel a lot for work and prefer non-liquid items where possible to keep stocked in my carry-on bag. These wipes were gentle on my skin, did a pretty good job removing most of my makeup (there was some remaining mascara that I had to remove with actual eye makeup remover on a cotton ball) and had a very subtle (if any) smell. To be honest, I have a cold so my sense of smell isn't very keen this week! I will use every single one of these wipes though, and although not a high-value product it is definitely a welcome and practice item to receive in this box. Most importantly, my skin felt clean after using and I didn’t feel the need to rewash or rinse.

Lebon Travel Size Toothpaste (25 mL) – Retail Value $12.00

I’m always a fan of trying ingredient conscious toothpaste, and I love that this toothpaste has a gentle mint flavor. It cleans your mouth and teeth safely with baking soda, whitening without chemicals. Again, since I travel for work I like getting small sizes that I can keep in my travel stash for my trips. My one critique on this product though is that it’s sweetened with stevia – I’m not sure that I need my toothpaste to be sweetened and would have preferred that it just did the job without that added, unnecessary ingredient.

OY-L HYDRATING FACIAL MIST (2 oz.) – Retail Value $16.00

This item was specifically called out on my handwritten note, explaining that it was selected for me to help brighten my complexion and shrink my pores, working as an excellent mid-day pick me up. I loved the feel of the fine mist and the dewy radiance that it gave to my skin post light application. However, it does have a pretty strong witch hazel scent which is a double-edged sword for me, I realize that it’s an awesome ingredient and causes benefits that I love, but I just don’t love the scent. Regardless, it’s not so bad that I won’t use it – I like the results enough to deal with the scent. The good news is that the smell is short lived and quickly fades away!

Innersense Hydrating Hair Masque (4 oz.) – Retail Value $30.00

This was the standout product for me. For this review, I used it as directed (after shampooing worked it mid-shaft through the ends on my shoulder length hair and let it sit for about 5 minutes). I noticed a dramatic difference in the moisture that my stands held, they felt silky, plump, and hydrated after that short amount of time. It is a thick conditioning mask, so I did double rinse my hair to make sure there was no residue left. I didn’t pick much of a scent up on this product (again, I have a cold) so I feel like it would lend itself to work with whatever styling products you use after, without having to worry about mixing hair scents too much.

Verdict: This was my first box from Switch 2 Pure and I was really pleased with the variety of the items! Every item I received is useful, and something that I will be able to incorporate into my beauty routine. All 4 items were of great quality, ingredient conscious, and delivered promised results. I calculated that I received $70 worth of products for $57 – which is around a 20% discount.

Value just isn’t there for me with this box. $57 is a steep price tag and I would need to LOVE everything. And $12 for travel toothpaste and facial wipes? I think I could find a suitable replacement for considerably less.

Thank you for the review, though.

28 face wipes for $12?! And they still didn’t take your mascara off? Or with a twenty percent discount it’s $9.60 for 28 mediocre wipes :/

A travel size toothpaste for $12?

The saddest thing about the toothpaste is that these so called natural toothpastes do not add the cavity preventing Stannous Fluoride. One generation ago, our grandparents put their teeth in containers to soak at night.
We do not do so because of the addition of Fluoride to our toothpaste, our dental treatments, and in many cases, our water supply.

There are naysayers, mostly elderly people with osteoporosis, who say Fluoride in the water supply is not needed. It’s not in most rural water systems any longer because it’s expected that residents will use toothpaste containing Stannous Fluoride.
We must protect our teeth against bacteria which form cavities. It’s so simple- just pick up a fluoridated toothpaste without a long list of Triclosans and other iffy ingredients.

Fluoride is bad it is being added to our water supply and therefore not needed to be added to toothpaste. Go to flourisealert dot org
