Sooni Mask Pouch September 2018 Review
Here is the info sheet for the box, with the length of time you should wear each mask detailed. Also, since I also receive the Sooni Mini Pouch, this pouch of sheet masks was tucked into the larger packaging.
On the other side of my info sheet is a note that my pouch was prepared by Crystal!
IntoSkin The Mud Lifting Mask - Retail Value $5.16
This is a two-step mask that includes an eye cream that you apply before the sheet mask. I found the cream to be rich and ultra-hydrating, but it still absorbed easily into my skin. The sheet mask that followed was comfortable to wear, and my skin was brighter after using.
Into Skin The Mud Revital Mask – Retail Value $5.16
This is the same 2-step mask as above, only it is designed to “revitalize” your skin- and it worked! After applying the eye cream and chilling with the face mask for 20 minutes, I massaged the extra essence in my face and went about my day. About an hour later I looked in the mirror and my skin was absolutely glowing! It felt so much softer and more hydrated—I seriously may need to buy more of these and use it weekly.
Secret Nature Strawberry Mask Sheet – Retail Value $1.66 (MYR 6.90)
Mmmm, strawberry. This strawberry sheet mask has a yummy strawberry scent, and it was a fun 20-minute mask. I didn’t notice an improvement in the brightness of my skin, but it did feel soothed.
Yerina Focused Skincare Pore Care Mask
This sheet mask is both alcohol and paraben-free and it is designed to minimize the appearance of pores. I do think my pores looked smaller after using, but it was only temporary.
Dewytree Snail Vitalizing Help Mask
I was introduced to Dewytree by trying products from the Sooni Mini Pouch, and I was happy to see that this sheet mask is just as gentle as their other products. I loved the bright pink and yellow packaging, and the mask itself was comfortable on my face. After 25 minutes I rubbed the extra serum into my face, and I am happy to report it did not leave my face feeling sticky.
TonyMoly Master Lab Ceramide Mask – Retail Value $4
My info sheet says I should have received the caviar mask, but I actually received the ceramide version. I am okay with the swap because I know ceramides pack a big punch of moisture and my skin personally loves basically any products with ceramide as an ingredient. That held true here- I used this when my skin was feeling parched and this really brought my moisture levels up while soothing my skin. Also, props to Sooni for sending a well-known sheet mask brand! I like knowing I can go to Ulta and purchase this exact mask—I definitely prefer recognizing the brand over the brands that are impossible to find online.
Mediheal Tea Tree Healing Solution Mask – Retail Value $1.49
In my search to find the retail value of this mask, I also found out some fun facts! The popular K-Pop brand BTS did a collaboration with Mediheal (this was one of the masks included in the set), and people went nuts over it. According to this review, Mediheal started in medical school and is one of the most popular sheet mask brands in South Korea. Armed with this knowledge, I went in expecting.. something? This mask was refreshing, with the slight scent of tea tree, but it sadly did not give me the baby-smooth skin of a K-Pop Star. I do think my mores looked good after using, but I am not sure if that is due to the mask. Overall, though, for the price, I think it is pretty great!
The Verdict: Sooni Mask Pouch promises to send 6-8 masks with a retail value of at least $30. By my math, I think they are a bit short- the value of all of the masks except two adds up to $17.47. While I think it is possible for the remaining masks to fill that value, I don’t think it is probable. I also think it is important to note that there is a lot of overlap between the Sooni Mask Pouch and Sooni Pouch box, so if you subscribe to both you will see a lot of repeats. I will say, however, that overall I am happy with the assortment of mask scents and the quality of the products. For the low cost per month, I think this could be a really fun self-care treat.
