Kidbox is a kid’s clothing box that “combines cool brands, meaningful savings and a mission to clothe children in need.” KidBox ships 5 boxes a year (spring, summer, back to school, fall and winter) but they will notify you before they ship in case you want to skip a box, change your child’s sizing or even their style preferences.
Kidbox offers a few options: the Baby by Kidbox for sizes Newborn-24 months, Kidbox for sizes 2T-14, and a new Kidsentials, socks and underwear on-demand service.
This review is of the Boy’s Fall Box in 4T.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Kidbox Fall 2018 Review
Each box comes with a price sheet listing each item of clothing, the retail price, and the price Kidbox will charge to keep that item (which is less than retail). There’s also a plastic mailer and pre-addressed sticker to easily return anything you’re not keeping. Also included were some stickers and crayons for Gideon.
Bib (free gift)
They include free gifts in their boxes, and this quarter’s was a bib. It’s a little odd, though, because it’s so small? This isn’t relevant for my 3-year-old and wouldn’t protect my 1-year-old’s clothes from any kind of drooling or food.
Diesel Boys 5 Pocket Basic Jean – Listed Retail Price: $65, Cost to keep: $49
These jeans are nice, but they are a size 4, not 4T, so the waist is too big for my son. The length is right because he’s a tall kid but the one pair of 4’s I’ve bought him have a drawstring waist, and that makes them worse. These are good quality so I’ll be hanging onto them for sure!
Lee Boys Skinny Jean – Listed Retail Value: $36, Cost to Keep: $27
I have pretty much the same thing to say about these as the previous pair of jeans. They’re nice, and good quality and they have great stretch to them. But they are just too big for him in the waist. We’ll definitely hold onto these for when he’s grown a little more, and I’m happy to get them, but it may take a few months for them to fit just right.
Appaman Boys Science-Whiz Graphic Tee – Retail Value: $39, Cost to Keep: $30
This shirt is great! We love all things technology and science over here so this is perfect for us. The fit is just right on Gideon, perhaps a little snug, so I’m not sure he’ll be able to wear this all through winter, but he’s already worn it a couple times since unboxing.
Lee Boys Plaid Button Down – Listed Retail Value: $35, Cost to Keep: $27
Yay, I was actually needing to get another button down or two that were long-sleeved. This shirt also has sleeve tabs to help if you roll the sleeves up, too. The fit of this is perfect, although his long torso makes it questionable if this would stay if we tucked it in. Knowing how active he is, it probably doesn’t stand a chance!
Losan Boys Long Sleeve Motorcycle T-Shirt – Listed Retail Value: $17, Cost to Keep: $12
This shirt is soft, and I’m always happy to have an extra long sleeve tee this season for my 3-year-old!
LRG Boys 3-piece Vest Set – Listed Retail Value: $66, Cost to keep: $50
(Sorry for the poor lighting – we were heading out the door early that day and it was dark.) This is a cute 3-piece outfit. It’s in size 4T so the jeans fit better than the other two pairs in this box. The vest is great, actually! He’s never had a puffy vest like this before. I’m thinking he will wear it more in the Spring, because Michigan got, maybe a week or two of Fall and then switched straight to Winter and I don’t think even the puffiest of vests will be warm enough. I do appreciate getting a whole outfit to put together, though.
Verdict: This was a nice Kidbox for us! I loved getting some good jeans for him, it just may take some time for him to fill out into the size 4 jeans without a drawstring. This box seemed to have some good basic pieces that will get a good amount of wear. I’m happy this season!
To Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: The retail price of all my items add up to about $258 from what I found, but with the discount from keeping a full box my total is $68. That’s about $11.3 per item (counting the 3-piece outfit as one item)!
