Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Review – November 2018

I know this is an older post, but I’m relly curious about something – if your first month of gbp was nov, did you get the makeup bag from oct in your nov box, since it was your first one?

So my box arrived full of junk not one item full sized or what should have been in my Glam Bag Plus I was charged for

I technically received random garbage not worth the shipping

Everyday Ipsy pushes my anticipated ship date out. Now it’s the 21st. Wednesday it’ll be the 23rd… they’re taunting me 😭

Who are they trying to fool with the $45 price on those slmissglam brushes? They’re plastic junk and I can’t find anywhere selling that set for over $20. They don’t even sell them on the company’s website. I’m a little offended that they’re putting them in a plus bag. I considered them filler even in the regular bags.

I’m loving Ipsy Plus, but kinda wishing I hadn’t added any of the $3 options to my bag since now shipping is taking forever. I got an email the other day saying it’s “on the way” but everyday when I check the website there is no tracking info and the anticipated ship date keeps getting pushed back later and later. I think I’m gonna wait a few months before adding anything to a bag again and see if they can get the bugs worked out. It’s a cool option but not if it makes me get my November bag in December.

I was disappointed to not get the highlighter and the eye palette (which had some colors i loved) – i got instead the tarte blush/mirror thing. i don’t like tarte products and have no use for more blush. i feel let down and ripped off for not getting the highlighter and eye palette which was a much better value. eh and this was my first ipsy plus box. i did email them but i did like the rest of the products especially the bum bum cream.

I just got an email from Ipsy saying there will be a bonus 6th item for December. Also Benefit Cosmetics, Murad, IT Cosmetics, and Morphe are some brand spoilers in the email.

So I have to write in to tell you IPSY is having major issues. Just look at their IPSY care Twitter. They are taking peoples money and no boxes show up. The items are missing and damaged. And the customer service is HORRIFIC. Something has definitely happned to the company. They are not the company they once were. I dont know what happned but it’s really bad and a lot of people have quit because of how bad it’s gotten. You should probably look into this and stop advertising for them. It’s not good to promote unethical comapnays.

I’m going to wait until December boxes to figure out what stays and what goes. This one is on the chopping block.

I really like November’s Glam Bag. Instead of receiving the highlighter (which I already have), I received the Bum Bum cream. Thank you, Ipsy.

YAY!! I’m so excited to get my box, we are box twins other than the MUG lippie!! I’m getting the MUG in Acoustic but other than that I’m getting everything else the same!! I’m excited and thrilled about the boxes value, I can’t believe its value is over $170 bucks!! WOW is all I have to say about this box, it definitely beats out my Boxycharm box for the month of November!! Those are incredible products and an incredible value for sure!! Thanks for sharing your box Liz, I added on a couple products so it’s just now shipping out!! Great box Liz and thanks again!!

If ipsy steps up their shipping times, they are goin to pull most if not all of boxycharms subscribers that could not upgrade. A full luxe box revealed and no specific boxy spoiler, its like they have forgotten about their customer base. Kinda sad. I wanted to try them but now I think Ill stick with ipsy and try out for the plus bag.

I am swapping my Tarte palette, I don’t need it, same with the Dr Brandt, and the FAB cleanser. If I paid $45 for the brushes I would take them back. They are nothing special. The MUG color is stunning and they couldn’t have picked a better color for me.

All in all the box is worth the money it just wasn’t a great box for me this month.

I got the lip color Set List which looks like a really wearable rosy color; so happy to get it. Tho I’m still working on the Smashbox foiled lippie I got awhile ago.
I received the First Aid cleanser, which I’ve enjoyed in sample size before, and was pleased to get the full size!

It seems like this sub in particular sends a much superior box for review than they send me. My box hasn’t shipped. I will be receiving the pricey no more baggage that doesn’t do anything on my skin, so has $0 value for me. Eyeshadow brushes but no eyeshadow. A horrible color lip on me. I will receive bum bum, but the price is very inflated on this small jar. I will also receive the tarte blush palette. I like tarte blush, but I would really prefer mini compacts that snap closed to a palette. This month, I don’t consider my bag to be something I’d pay $25 for. I’m going to see how December and January go before deciding which subs to keep.

I received the blush palette instead of the eyeshadow, which I was happy about since I already have the IT palette. I received the cleanser instead of the highlighter. I kind of wanted to try the highlighter but cleaners are always good. Thankfully I received a lighter shade of the lip gloss that I might be able to pull off. I think this is the third time I’ve received the Dr. Brandt in sub boxes. Maybe I’ll finally try it. lol

Has anyone had any luck moving up from the waitlist, other then the social media invites? I tried emailing my request but they said there nothing else they could do.

My box is still in the warehouse as always I never get good shipping times. But it looks pretty good:

Eyeshadow Palette
Dr Brandt which works for me because I have some right now
Bum Bum
Brush Set (not really into this since I have more brushes that I need right now)
Makeup Geek which I will probably use at nights because I can pull off a vampy lip if I get the right color.

I am on the every other month plan so my next bag will be January. I think the every other month plan is all I want since I also have 3 Ipsy sample subs.

Box is so much bigger and better in person! I finally got my box yesterday and was thrilled to find the it eyeshadow, Brandt, lippie, face wash, brushes. I love the It eyeshadow. I would have never purchased any of these products. For $25 – I’m thrilled! I also would have loved the blush as well for a change into the fall season. I’m 51 and appreciate having some core items as well as the glitter fun stuff to play from last box.

I have seen yellow eyeshadow on an older tv host that wore it to match a yellow jacket. It was super cute.

I guess this means this box works for me!
I will add that I thought that I would NEVER want another highlighter UNTIL I got the one from Morphe (creamy luxe).

I’m super happy to be receiving the Tarte blush palette and the First Aid Beauty facial cleanser (instead of the eyeshadow palette and the highlight). Thanks to Boxycharm, I have a plethora of eyeshadow palettes and do not need / want any more. Blush is my most favorite makeup item, so to get the palette of three is just awesome. Who doesn’t need a great facial cleanser? Super stoked!

This probably should be updated in MSA’s review/ files. There are currently more people waiting for the Glam Bag Plus than Ipsy can fill, so the wait list has been suspended. I wrote and asked. This is what they told me.

I love my Ipsy plus. I recieved the same as Liz but I recieved the Three blush Palette from Tarte. It’s beautiful. And I’m a fan of the Lip gloss. I mean 12.00? I just ordered YSL and Hourglass lipstick and their in the 30.00 range and MG was just as good. I’m impressed. I will be ordering more since I’m a lipstick geek. I didn’t like the eye baggage. I found it to drying for my dry skin. My skin gets very dry during winter, so the baggage gel seems to seep into my fine lines. I did feel it working on my skin but I don’t have bagsor dark circles thankfully. Ipsy is awesome and I’m enjoying my subscription. i hope they soon merge both Ipsy and Ipsy plus. I’m missing out on my 10.00 bags because I’m waiting for the merge. Hopefully soon.

I think it was a really poor move on Ipsy’s part to take the main item of the box (the It eyeshadow palette) and make it a variant with a 3 blush book. The 2 aren’t even comparable. And I’m pretty irritated to be getting the blush instead of the eyeshadow palette, regardless of when it came out.
By nature, I normally can find the best in anything. But another dark vampy lip gloss after last month’s almost expired lip balm, the tiny blush book, the Dr Brandt that destroys your foundation no matter how you apply the dr. Brandt over or under it, in comparison to others receiving the full eye palette, the rodeo drive highlighter and the first aid beauty face wash…. it just really has me almost angry.
I know this will come across to some as petty. And that’s okay. Because I know I’m not. I’ve never complained before with any subscription I receive, including this one. I know some months are better than others and you’ll get items at times that just don’t work for you. I can handle that. I just really feel the variated boxes were extremely unbalanced this month. I wouldn’t of even mentioned getting Tarte blush book as our main palette item if that’s what everyone got. You just don’t variate the main box item!
