Now, on to the items!
Makeup Geek Foiled Lip Gloss in Drumroll - Retail Value $12
Makeup Geek is a beloved indie brand for good reasons - I've always been impressed with their formulas. And this lip gloss is another well-done product! The formula is super pigmented (even just one swipe for me was a deep purple), and it provides lots of metallic shimmer and shine. And unlike some lipglosses that seem to need to be reapplied constantly, this one had good staying power.
Sadly, the purple shade is just too dark for me to pull off, but I'll likely try a different shade from Makeup Geek in the future.

OFRA Highlighter in Rodeo Drive - Retail Value $35
The shimmer! The pigment! This champagne gold highlighter is definitely worth all the buzz it receives! It's easy to blend a little goes a long way so this will last for a while!

IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette - Retail Value $42
This palette covers all your neutral matte needs:
It also has a "transforming pearl" shade on the bottom right corner designed to help transform any matte shade to a shimmer. (AKA put some highlighter on top of it.)
My eyes are hooded, so I mostly only use matte shades, and I love a neutral eye look, so this palette is pretty much made for me. The pigment is good (not great), but again, I'm usually going for a subtle look, so non-intense pigment is fine for my everyday makeup look.
Here are the shades swatched beneath the lip gloss and the highlighter:
SLMISSGLAM Eyeshadow Brush Trio - Retail Value $45
I'm always happy to receive new makeup brushes in my ipsy subscriptions, and these sparkle-accented ones are a delight!
The set includes an Eyeshadow brush (P15), an Eye angled shading brush (P17), and an Eye blending brush (P24).
Use the eyeshadow brush to lay an all over lid color or a base color on your lid, use the blending brush to blend out any harsh lines and create an even transition between your crease color and all over lid color. Use the angled brush to bring some color onto your lower lash line tying your look together.
The bristles are soft and densely packed, too.
dr. brandt needles no more NO MORE BAGGAGE eye de-puffing gel – Retail Value $42
I try SO many de-puffing, under-eye eye treatments, and this is one of the few that I could actually feel and see working! After I applied the gel, it immediately gave my skin a cooling feeling. Then, over the next few minutes, I could actually feel a subtle tightening of my skin. (The tightening goes away when you wash this off.)
It has an orange tint, which I think helps conceal the blue tones of undereye circles, but it didn’t make enough of a difference there for me to go without undereye concealer. And it gives your skin a smooth, powdery finish. (And just FYI, this isn’t an aloe-vera-type gel, it takes some effort to squeeze it out of the tube!)
Looking at the reviews on Sephora, it seems like people either love or hate this. I’m a fan, but I’m guessing it doesn’t work as well for all skin types.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $176. I think that's amazing for a $25 box! And 4 out of the 5 items each had a retail value over the cost of the entire box! Good brands, and I was happy to see makeup brushes in this box, too.
