  1. Dyinggg to find out the last spoiler

    • Saaaame! I hope I love it, because I’m worried that I’m really not going to like the perfume. Although, I jumped at the chance to get that purse, so I *should be ok.

      • jk lol!

  2. Just curious, what variations are people picking? I haven’t submitted my choices yet, but leaning towards Istanbul perfume, black loveable and either orange or raspberry candle.

    • Tel Aviv (love fruity floral scents), black fold over, and the orange candle (again with the fruity floral scents). Though I will say that I was, and still am, tempted to switch to the London perfume since lately I’ve been loving rose scents and I think it could be nice to switch things up a little. I also considered the raspberry candle since I love the scent of grapefruit, but the orange will look better with my decor. Also, in looking at the D.L. & Co. website, I found that the orange candle is one of their best sellers.

    • Box one: Black Foldover, Sunflower Candle and Tel Aviv
Box two: Brown Foldover, Raspbery Candle and London

    • Where do you make your selections? I just subscribed for the first time

      • There are links to choose your candle and bag in the spoiler 2 post, and the link to choose your perfume is in this post (they’re all Google forms) 🙂

        • Thank you!

    • Raspberry candle, black Loveable and Brooklyn – super excited to see what the last spoiler/customization is!

    • Green candle, Brooklyn and Simplistic. Had Lovable picked but decided it was still yet a little smaller than the one I almost bought at Fossil. So I’m gonna fight with the handles I guess, lol.

  3. omg yay!!!!!!!! I collect Gallivant perfumes and am only missing Tel Aviv from my collection – subscribed immediately! Picked the orange candle and black fold over as well.

    • Box twins!

  4. I wish they had offered a sample set, one of each, instead. The scents all sound amazing!!

    • Having received the box, I also wish they had offered a sample set instead of one scent. I got “London,” and it just doesn’t suit me. A sample set would’ve been a great way to get an introduction to the brand and the perfumes. I appreciate the quality of Happy Rebel but guessing at scents is just too tricky for me.

  5. *sighs* I see the link for the perfume and chose, however I don’t see any other links to chose and I have gone to the other spoilers to look. Can someone assist me please?

  6. omg YAY!!!! I collect Gallivant perfumes and am only missing Amsterdam and Tel Aviv from my collection – i picked up 2 boxes so I can complete my collection!! (I chose raspberry, black loveable and amsterdam in one box and orange, simplistic and tel aviv in another)

  7. My mom, sister and I each snagged a box. I picked orange candle, black loveable and brooklyn. Sister got raspberry candle, simplistic bag and tel aviv, and my mom chose green candle, brown fold over and istanbul perfume. So excited!!!!!!!

  8. I’m curious – which variations are people picking? I’m definitely getting the istanbul perfume, but i’m torn between orange and raspberry for the candle and black or blue loveable for the bag.

  9. I’m so fascinated. I have been a Happy Rebel subscriber for a while and liked a lot of the items I’ve gotten. This box does not appeal to me at all and it seems to be one of their most popular. The items are nice just not my style/taste. I am glad to see so many happy/excited posts and great business for HR. Good luck to everyone trying to narrow down their choices!

  10. Does any one know which one smells the least musky? I’m ok with floral or citrusy but I can’t really tell from these descriptions… There’s so much going on at once

  11. Anyone having trouble deciding, my sister has the Istanbul scent so this might help. It’s quite dark and creamy, if that makes any sense, but it’s not overly overpowering because there’s a woodsy kind of scent that comes through as well. Kind of like a dark roast coffee with a strong dose of herbs… (I’m really not making sense)

  12. What a wonderfully lavish box. Way out side my price range, but I’m loving reading about y’alls selections!

  13. Wow, I’ve never hit subscribe that fast! I somehow missed the bag spoiler and zomg, it’s beuatiful!! I picked the foldover in brown, raspberry candle, and Istanbul! Excited to see what the last spoiler is.

I must say though, I lived in Tel Aviv and the perfume doesn’t sound anything like my time there 😛

  14. I just resubscribed! Always loved the box, just money has been tight. I am waiting on pins and needles! I am going to pick the foldover in black, the London perfume, and the Grey candle. So excited, I love this box!

    • Shoot, I meant the brown fold over bag! Good thing I have not yet been sent the link. I was disappointed in FFF this Winter, however this Happy Rebel box is making the holidays special!

  15. Just joined – how do I customize?

    • Johanna should send you links soon. I would contact her through CS and ask for the links just to be sure you get what you want.

    • If you go to spoiler post 2, the candle and bag links are there. The perfume link is above. It’s all through google forms.

    • Thanks, girls! I picked the blue lovable bag, black candle, and Istanbul perfume. So excited!

      • I picked Istanbul too! Now, we wait 😛

  16. This box is shaping up to be one of the best ever. From any sub. I was torn between Brooklyn and London, but went with Brooklyn because it seemed to have the most “fresh” notes (citrus, ozone) which is what I tend to wear day-to-day. But honestly they all sound complex and amazing.

    • 👍👍👍👍👍👍

    • Totally agree – one of the best boxes ever! Even if they put that inflatable swan from Popsugar as the 4th item (which I’m positive they won’t), I’ll still be over the moon with this box. I had trouble choosing between Brooklyn and Istanbul, but went with Brooklyn as it seems sweeter than Istanbul (I love sweet scents).

      • Oh I know, the 4th item could be anything, and I would still be thrilled. I’m utterly curious as to what it might be though. I’m going through all the classic sub-box and common gifting essentials in my mind. We’ve got a home decor item, a fashion accessory, a beauty item… what could be left? Maybe jewelry, skin care, or a food item?

  17. Couldn’t stand it – just signed up. Now, where do I make my selections? Thanks in advance!

    • Johanna posted the links to choose your candle and bag in the spoiler 2 post. The link to choosing your perfume is in this post at the top – alternatively, you can email Johanna and I’m sure she can send you the links if you’re still having trouble making selections. Happy choosing!

  18. I am having a hard time choosing from Instanbul and Tal Aviv. Should I add another box?!?! 🙂

    • Yes! Do it! I did. But Johanna will have to take your choices for the second box through Email.

I bought one and my mom wanted the candle so I bought another. She is very elderly and does not really carry handbags or wear perfume.

  19. They never offer codes or discounts right? Because this is too tempting and I don’t want FOMO

    • They’ve stated they will not be offering discounts on this box, and the Black Friday deal is a mystery box.

      • Thavk you!

  20. Never mind, just saw it in the post. Whoops. Lol

  21. How do we choose the option for this one? They posted the link here for the first two, which I never received emails for, but there’s no link for this one and I haven’t received an email yet for this one either.

  22. Grabbed Amsterdam, the black foldover bag, and the black candle so far. Love this box. How many items are left, do we know?

    • Just one, confirmed by Johanna at HR

      • Thank you!

    • One more item.

    • My exact picks too!

  23. My signature fragrance is Louis Vuitton Matiere Noire. I chose London for the second box and hope they are close.

    I absolutely love perfume!

  24. It’s so weird how they’re promoting the perfume as vegan and cruelty free when the second spoiler is a leather bag

    • Did you buy a box?

It does not matter to me.

    • I did find that a little amusing. But I’m also thrilled to finally get a real leather bag from a box, not pleather. But it’s a box all about giving. So HR made sure we have something for our vegan friends.

      • Me too! I want grain leather like the ones HR is offereing. That bag from Rachel Zoe is ghastly. Not even lined. And the Vince Camuto bag from FFF. Tragic.

This box and the PS Neiman Marcus are the highlights of my holiday season! My husband bought me boxes this Christmas. I love sub boxes!

I look for HR to make it to a top box for women in 2019. They are getting my vote!

    • I’m guessing the perfume company uses those attributes as its selling point and in their advertising and Happy Rebel is using the copy to describe the item. I am very against using animals for testing of cosmetics. There is no reason to do so. But I am not against eating meat or leather.

I think Happy Rebel has gone a long way in the past year. Their boxes have been so good.

  25. Going with Tel Aviv. I like citrusy scents, and while Berlin and Tokyo both intrigued me, patchouli just isn’t for me. So it’s Tel Aviv, the black fold over, and the orange Golden Hibiscus and Sunflower candle.

    • We are box twins so far! That is what I chose for my first box.

      • As always, you’ve got wonderful taste Amyr. 🙂

  26. They all sound lovely. I chose Istanbul because “coffee creaminess” along with bergamot, patchouli, myrrh, sandalwood, vanilla, tonka bean, and amber sound like it would be the most addictive. And I love addictive scents (like YSL Black Opium and Elle, Prada Candy, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, Lancome La Vie est Belle; Tokyomilk Dark Bulletproof). Seems like most of my favorite scents combine gourmand + smoky/woody. Hopefully Istanbul will be similar!

    • I can’t believe I spent so many years of my life avoiding Flowerbomb because a flower bomb sounds exactly like the opposite of what I like in my perfume. I truly am addicted to that stuff now. One of my favorites….just don’t enjoy the price tag. LOL.

      • OMG LB, I love, love, love Flowerbomb. I only had a sample and was so disappointed to know how pricey it was. I tried an imposter and it was horrible. I would love a bottle for Christmas.

        • You can get free samples in Sephora every time you go in! I’ve done that for scents I love but don’t want to buy, like Marc Jacobs Decadence.

Also, it’s such a popular fragrance that they often feature it in their “sampler” boxes that come with a voucher for a full bottle or a rollerball. That means you get a $5 discount on the rollerball or $10 discount on the 1 oz. bottle PLUS get a bunch of other samples or mini bottles of other fragrances basically for free! That’s how I got my flowerbomb rollerball. $25 for a sampler of 5 scents + the rollerball voucher, versus $30 if I’d just bought the rollerball.

…Is it obvious I’m obsessed with fragrances and shopping? lol

          • I have lusted after those perfume boxes many times but I don’t live very close to any brick and mortar Sephora stores so I’m not sure if I’d remember to use the coupon or want to go! I wish you could redeem online. It really is a great idea.

        • Ulta sells it too and I just hoarded points to buy a bottle of it. It’s definitely worth it since a bottle lasts so long!

    • I chose the same perfume. It sounds awesome! I usually choose a gourmand/ earthy/spicy scent.

    • I love Black Opium! In my top 5, along with Viva la Juicy, Miss Dior, Paco Rabanne Lady Million and CK Euphoria!

  27. Totally torn between Brooklyn and London but am leaning towards London for aspirational reasons…and the Pet Shop Boys reference.

    • I chose London for the exact same reason. I got London in one box and Tel Aviv in the others.

West End Girls is one of my favorite songs ever! I play it a lot on my Amazon Unlimited!

  28. This looks like a great box, does HR boxes ever go on sale? Also do you think more items will be included in this box?

    • I think they said in a different thread that they did not have any sales or coupons planned in the foreseeable future and that there would be four items in this box.

    • I could be wrong but I thought HR commented on a different post that this box would have 4 items. I also don’t think boxes usually go on sale. And they confirmed that the Black Friday deal would be mystery boxes. Honestly, I think this box is such a slam dunk I don’t think they’d have to offer it on sale.

      • I agree it’s a great box, I guess I was just wondering if they will offer it on Black Friday. Thanks for letting me know that they will offer a mystery box. This would be my first HR box 🙂

        • Hi Carmen! LB is correct 🙂 There will be 4 items in this box, and we are not planning any subscription discounts. We would love to have you! 😉

        • I went to look for it again to make sure I wasn’t misleading you. Found this in the comments for the spoiler #2 post:

Hi Noelle! WE ARE EXCITED TOO 😀 haha

          1) There will be 4 items in this box.
          2) We will be doing “Choose Your Hero Item” mystery boxes. They are already up in our online shop now (if you already see a hero item favorite and want to get the jump on it) but we will be adding a few new hero items to choose from just for MSA readers during their BTBF event, so be sure you are in the loop on that! 🙂

    • The confirmed in a pervious spoiler that they have no plans to offer any discounts any time soon. They also said that this box would have 4 items. So far the perfume is $95, the candle is $60, and the bags range from $110-$125. So a combines total value of $265-$280 with another item to be added yet. This is amazing.

    • No. HR has already said that.

  29. The web site fragrantica has tons of reviews that go in detail about the scents if you are having trouble deciding.

    • Thanks, Jeannette. That site helped me to make the decision of Istanbul. Cardamom is my #1 favorite spice.

    • Thank you! Great suggestion.

  30. So I already signed up for 2 boxes because I couldn’t choose between the foldover and Loveable bags. The thought was that I’d gift anything else I didn’t want….but at this point I think I’m going to be greedy. LOL. I chose Berlin and Tel Aviv. I’m glad I got two choices because I don’t think I could narrow this one down either!! And I’m sooooo glad this box is fully customizable. Fantastic!

  31. HR is killing it with this box. I can’t decide which one I like. So many descriptive words for each one. Which one do you think is the least floral? I like unisex, non-feminine scents.

  32. I’m between Tokyo, Istanbul and Tel Aviv. It’s hard not being able to smell them first! And most of the perfumes I wear are ones that I have received in subscription boxes so it’s not like I can really compare it to my favorite fragrance or anything lol

  33. This is a bit of a miss for me (I like to smell perfumes before I buy them), but the purse is so awesome that I don’t even care. Plus, the candle looks lovely. Hopefully I’ll end up liking Tel Aviv, since that’s what I picked!

  34. This box is shaping up to be legendary! I’m very glad to be a subscriber BUT OMG the process of customizing is so clunky, I dread going through it every time. They have got to fix this. Here’s what I have to do:

    1. Open Happy Rebel email; click on link
    2. I suddenly remember that the link is incompatible with any desktop browser for no apparent reason; so I ditch this, and redo Step #1 with my mobile phone instead.
    3. Link opens a Google form. Now I need my Google password. Argh, I don’t remember my Google password.
    4. So now I have to leave this form, open my password app, and then come back and sign in.
    5. Fill out the form with my email address and name, but then…
    6. Now I need my “account reference #.” WTF is that? That is not something that anyone remembers.
    7. So now leave the form again to log into Happy Rebel.
    8. DOH! Forgot my Happy Rebel account password. Grrr…back to the password app.
    9. Finally signed into Happy Rebel and found that stupid reference #.
    10. Take the # back to the Google form and finish filling it out.

    After all that…I chose Berlin.

    • Carrie – I always submit my choices on my desktop. I have never used my phone. My computer keeps me logged into my Google account unless I manually sign out. Forgetting your passwords sounds like a personal problem lol 😉

I agree having to look up my account ID number every time is annoying so I just have a note on my phone with the number. I wish I was prompted for my choices on my account page or something, but I know that would take a lot of website customization (which is expensive!) and I don’t thing Happy Rebel is as big of a company as a lot of people think. And I don’t want them to give my choices to the wrong Sammy, so I am always careful to put the right account number in lol

  35. Umm….what are “transparent flowers”? 🤔

    • in my experience, that term seems to be used as more to denote a clean, soft, general non-descript floral note.
As opposed to a very specific floral scent like rose, jasmine, lily, tuberose, you know, the more obvious, recognized ones where you smell them and instantly can identify the specific flower.

      • Thank you!

    • Mystery aside, this looks like a super duper great box! I might have to resubscribe for this one.

What combination of selections are people opting for? I think I’d go for Tokyo, brown fold over bag and pink candle.

    • HAHAHA – I was wondering the same thing!

  36. Yessssss! What a great box! I chose London but wanted Amsterdam and Tokyo as well!

    • I chose Tokyo!

  37. This box!! This. Box. My goodness. What a treat! I was torn between Brooklyn (citrus) and London (roses), but I ended up choosing Brooklyn because it seemed the ‘freshest’ to me, which is my everyday fragrance preference.

  38. Well of course I’m picking London. It won an award! 🤷🏻‍♀️

  39. Istanbul instantly grabbed me, but then I read London’s description and think it would be a nice to wear with the scent of the black candle in the room or any other place sporting a more toasty winter smell.

  40. I stopped buying sub boxes for a year, but if I hadn’t, I would love to buy this box!! Good job Happy Rebel!

  41. I love perfume!!! I have over 40 bottles. But I don’t like unisex perfume at all. They usually smell way too manly for me. I like things that are really sweet and feminine. I chose Tel Aviv because that sounded to be the least manly. I guess we’ll see. This is turning into a great box!

    • Of course my comment didn’t show up again. But if anyone has smelled these, and can help me pick one I’d appreciate it. 🙂
I like sweet too, what do you think about Brooklyn, don’t you think that would be a sweeter one?
I don’t love this spoiler but I’m ok with it because of the leather purse!

      • fragrantica has reviews from people who describe the scents and give their input 🙂

      • I’m not sure. Brooklyn had a lot of ingredients I don’t recognize. I went to Galivants website and saw some reviews. But who knows. One person’s opinion really doesn’t matter much.

        • So true, who am I kidding- my opinion doesn’t even really matter in this case. I may think it’s gonna smell like one thing and get something completely different.

    • I feel exactly the same. I love and own all sorts of scents, but unfortunately I’ve yet to find a unisex one that’s not too masculine for me. Sometimes they’re more masculine to me than regular men’s cologne. I was thinking the same thing about Tel Aviv. London sounds intriguing but I think Tel Aviv’s a safer bet for something I’ll actually wear.

    • I had the same thought. Tel Aviv was sounded the most like what I would normally get. Hopefully it’s lovely.

    • I’ve sampled Tel Aviv before… it was more inscense-y and spicy/mid eastern exotic, if that helps.

    • I’m torn on the third spoiler as I love the idea of a fancy perfume – but not into the unisex ones. Muses rarely wear well on me either. Based on fragrantica reviews and notes, I think Tel Aviv would be the safest for me as well. It seems to lean feminine and has some of my favorite notes (jasmine, ylang-ylang ylang) and it looks like the musk is minor and shouldn’t take over.

  42. Oh my goodness, I’m sooo picky about perfume, I just know I’ll pick the wrong one. If anyone has smelled these PLEASE help me, lol.
I mostly like fruity and sweet, hate patchouli and musk. I’m assumimg I’d want Brooklyn or Tel Aviv, but even those don’t really sound like me.

    • I like fruity and sweet too and I went with Brooklyn – from reviews I’ve seen online, Brooklyn seems citrusy while Tel Aviv is more like incense, if that makes sense?

      • Oh good, someone else came to the same conclusion I did! 🙂

        • I got Brooklyn too. Some of my favorite scents are citrus – the orange ones from Atelier and Nest Citrine. I have no idea if Brooklyn will smell like those but I will be happy if it does.

        • Haha yeah, from the stuff online the general consensus says that Tel Aviv is more incensey and spicy? (both of us might be extremely wrong though! 😛 )

          • I’m just assuming I’m not gonna like it, lol, if I do…yay for me!

  43. FYI – I just renewed my sub, and as of 1:43 pm eastern time (15 Nov), ALL the choices for ALL the 3 spoilers were showing as options!

I’ve always loved this box, and just the purse spoiler sold me on it. But even better is that we get to select which version we want on ALL the items!!

As someone with bad allergies, I’m personally not excited for the perfume or candle, but i know others will be. Plus, I can easily gift those and keep the purse (fold-over in black) for me!

  44. I chose Tel Aviv because it sounds good, but in all honesty I don’t really wear perfume, so I’ll probably end up swapping it.

  45. I dont know which one to pick! I don’t know enough about scents…

    • Haha right! I have a hard enough time picking one when I can smell them, this is gonna be hard!

  46. Yessssss this is an awesome spoiler too! The candle and purse already make the box for me, so the other items are a bonus. Now I just have to decide if I want to select a fragrance for myself or give as a gift…? My brother went to Amsterdam this summer, so that one might be a perfect choice for him.

  47. Omg. I need Berlin and Amsterdam. They all sound amazing

    • I snagged Berlin. There were a few that looked good though!
