This is just them cleaning out the overstock from their warehouse. I think I’ll pass…

I haven’t subbed to Boxy in a few months so I reeeeally wanted to see something from them that made me feel guilty about spending so much right before Christmas, but justifying it by telling myself that my birthday is next week so I deserve a treat, and then giving my husband that sheepish look as I update the checkbook. But as mentioned here previously, anything I might want even just a little bit is already up for swap by multiple people. I just can’t cash in my birthday karma for leftovers valued at WAY more than they should be.

A lot of these were variations I did not get that I wanted. I bought the big box. What I already have my Daughter-n-law will gladly take. She asks for makeup for Christmas every year.

Eh, I’ve only been a subscriber for about a year. The $99 one has “mostly” things I haven’t received. (I did not get the first boxyluxe) Needless to say, between me and my sister, it would be nice to try all of them. It isn’t things that will go completely to waste, and while it isn’t as good of a discount as the regular monthly box, it is still at a very significant discount.

Boxycharm is and has always been makeup heavy. That’s why people love it so much- thst and the value. There are PLENTY of skincare boxes if that’s your thing. But the minute Boxycharm becomes skincare heavy, I and MANY others are gone! If it’s skincare you want, you’re in the wrong place. Check out BeautyFIX. For a blend of makeup and skin care, allure is a great box. They’ve really stepped up their game lately.

I agree with you on Allure, I am never disappointed !

I love that Pretty Vulgar eyeliner and the Cover Fx primer. I use them everyday. No FOMO hear as I am on overload but will watch to see if the come down.

These prices are ridiculously high for what are essentially leftovers. Super easy pass…

louise

seriously, you aren’t kidding. the cheapest box is only two items more than a regular box and is $59. 😂 Half of those items are just ok, though I do love that crown palette.

They shouldn’t have made these prices so high. They’re leftover items. At least include some new ones if you’re gona make them that pricey !
Side note –
So I just got an email giving the spoiler for the second variation of Boxyluxe and it appears to be that if you chose or are getting the straightener the powder will also be in there. They didn’t state it but the powder is in the picture of the Boxyluxe variation with the straighter and is being called Boxyluxe variation no2. Also includes the copper colored Tarte lipgloss and the grande mascara. This could be true or it could be one of a few variations or .. who knows with Boxycharm but just thought I’d mention!!

That would suck pretty hard for all of us who chose the palette since it’s already at a lower price-point.

Oh how I wish these boxes were all skin care!

It looks like many items could be giftable. I may grab one or two boxes.

Me too, so much. If boxy had a skincare box i would be a subcriber in no time.

AnnaZ do urself a huge favor and don’t depend on skin care items u may get. Start ur own here and upgrade if needed. 3 Philosophy items changed my tanned leather face to lookin 10 years younger. Hope in a Jar,When Hope is not Enuf(whine) eye cream and whine serum. Started in 05 still using the same 3.

Heather

Crazy expensive, considering they are just trying to clear out extra unsold product. All of these items are up for swap, too!

I was thinking that, too! Too expensive and not even my favorite items for the most part. The Park Avenue Princess palette is great (I’ve yet to be let down by anything from tarte), if you are into contouring/highlighting (which I’ve started to be) and I like the Cover FX glitter drops. The Alamar brushes are good brushes but I have 2 sets because they included them in my free Summer’s Eve box.

That Pretty Vulgar palette was a hot mess of magnificent proportions. I wouldn’t even gift that, based on how mine looked when I got it (all uneven pans, a few with dents) and I had a 2nd one of them in my SE box, too… and it was almost as bad as the first. Plus, the shadows are super chalky and patchy.

The Kat Von D liquid lip is one of the most drying liquid lips I’ve ever used. It always cracks and makes my lips feel awful. But on top of that, I also won’t support her brand anymore, since learning about her anti-semitic past and seeing she bragged about not vaccinating her child (because endangering your baby’s life, along with the lives of others, is brag worthy amirite?) on IG.

So yeah, hard, hard pass on all 3 boxes. Boxy has been letting me down lately, to be honest. Especially with all the damn lashes. I don’t (and can’t) wear falsies, and I resent that they include a product you have to buy something else (adhesive) to use at all. But I’m also allergic to adhesives, hence my not being able to use them even if i wanted to.

I’m looking forward to BoxyLuxe for next month, but I am considering dropping them after that. Which is a shame because I’ve been subscribed under a year and a I LOVED them at first. 🙁 January’s box better have some good spoilers or I think I’m out. I’ll sign up for Ipsy Plus or w/e it is whenever it’s open for signups.

My though too. I am still trying to get rid of some of these items from last year when I was subscribed. Check the swap board first.
