Bluum November 2018 Review

This Bluum box was sent for my son, Parker, who is 2 years old. Let's see what we received this month:

501 Farm Things to Spot - Retail Value $6.99

My kids love Look and Find books so this was the perfect book for my son! He also loves any books that involve animals, so this will be such a great book for him since there are so many animals and fun things to spot. The scenes are really busy, but there are only a few things to find on each page, so it won't be too overwhelming. The pictures are nice and vibrant and there are several pages that will provide lots of entertainment.

Mudpuppy My First Touch and Feel Puzzle, Construction - Retail Value $12.99

Parker has also really been into puzzles lately and this one is so unique that it will be a nice change for him! He also loves construction vehicles and always points out the excavators when we see them while out driving, so the theme is another great pick for him!

There are only four separate puzzles, but each one has a fun texture to explore and the shapes are a bit different than traditional puzzles which make these somewhat more challenging at the beginning. I'm sure once he masters this, it will still be a favorite due to the fun vehicles!

Farmer's Market Flash Cards - Retail Value $14.99 (found here for $5.43)

This set of flashcards felt like another unique toy that was also educational. The front features a letter of the alphabet and the name of a food, while the back has a nice picture of the food along with the word. They are also really large cards, too, which makes them easy to see and hold. It also comes in a nice sturdy storage box which is great for organization purposes.

These are made of a nice sturdy cardboard so its difficult to bend them, which is great since Parker is not the most gentle with other flash cards we have. I love the bright and intricate designs on the front and the simple images of the foods on the back. This is definitely a fun way to learn some new words!

Big Bee Little Bee ScrubBee Body Brush – Retail Value $9.99

This cute little scrubber is one that we already own, but it was nice to have another one to pass along to a friend! The idea of this little silicone scrubber is that it can grow with your child and will help them learn how to wash themselves as they get older. The bristles are super soft and the cute little texture bee-hive handle is perfect for little hands. We actually use ours for the baby and he loves to hold onto it and play with it in the bath! They also sent a coupon for 15% off which is always appreciated.

Here it is in hand to give you a sense of scale. This little guy resists mold and mildew and is dishwasher safe!

Verdict: I was excited to see what Bluum selected for Parker this month and I think that they sent us some great stuff! I actually decided to put some of the items aside to give to him for Christmas (a nice perk of having this subscription for a young kid who won't be expecting a box!) and I know that he is going to be so excited to play with them. They all felt like unique toys that he will enjoy and I thought the Scrubbee was a great inclusion, too! Overall, the total value came to $44.96, which I think is a decent value considering the cost of the box is $34 including free shipping.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
