AromaBox October 2018 “The Balancer” Review
This month’s theme is “The Balancer”. I like that this year’s role-based themes have been loosely based on characteristics of the corresponding zodiac signs. The theme immediately calls to mind the iconic scales of Libra, October’s sign. Fun!
The information sheet from Herb Stop is really impressive. There’s a lot of knowledge packed in here! Every oil they sent is matched with three different usage tips. That’s really helpful! Plus on the reverse side, there is a recipe for “Let’s Make a Decision Spray.”
I also wanted to point out that their information sheet contains important safety information under each oil. It’s definitely great info to have on hand.
Lemon, 1/6 oz – Buy a 1/2 oz. bottle for $9.80
There’s a familiar fragrance! It’s the uplifting scent of lemon, which is good for so many things. It is in this month’s box because of its ability to aid in mental clarity, but it is also good for everything from cellulite to acne to indigestion.
Rosemary, 1/6 oz – Buy a 1/2 oz. bottle for $9.85
I love the smell of rosemary! It grows all over the place here in Georgia, and every time I pass by a bush, I have to pinch a leaf to inhale that excellent scent. It helps to promote physical and mental energy, and it can actually improve poor memory! That’s impressive!
Spearmint, 1/6 oz – Buy a 1/2 oz. bottle for $10.99
It’s another classic scent this month! I guess I know spearmint best as an anti-bloating and anti-indigestion essential oil, but apparently, it’s much more. It helps to alleviate headaches and clear the mind. Sounds good!
The Balancer Roll-On Essential Oil Blend – Estimated Value $16.95 (not available online)
This month’s blend has a fresh, revitalizing scent. The Balancer was designed to help make sound decisions and create balance in one’s life. It promotes mental energy, clarity, and determination. It is a blend of orange, rosemary, peppermint, and spearmint in jojoba oil.
The Verdict: I am consistently impressed with the Aroma Box by Herb Stop. I am getting such a massive education on natural health and wellness through this subscription! The oils are top quality and purity. The curation is also spot on and always perfectly suited to the month. The value is also always consistently high. I am a big fan!

Maybe I wasn’t clear. The reviewer needs to remove the false medical claims regarding medical health issues such as headaches and acne, both of which can need medical diagnosis and treatment.
It is now against US law to state that any over the counter substance clears, helps, improves, or cures any condition.
Who are you to tell her how to write a review? She gives her opinions on these products and if it’s truly bothersome to you then don’t read it! I get that your trying to help and I’m not here to argue I just don’t like the constant nitpicking and negativity. People can believe what they want to believe and are entitled to there own opinions.
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just like how everyone is entitled an opinion on that opinion. Just because someone has an opinion doesn’t make them immune to criticism. Welcome to the internet.
These are food grade oils. I don’t know what the laws are concerning food claims. But they are def not OTC cures.
Claims are made here about essential oils helping everything from acne to cellulite to mental acuity and this is not medically based info.
The review needs to be cleaned up to state what the fragrances smell like OR the review is making false medical claims. I’m sure most people are aware of the new regulations governing over the counter preparations and claims of improving or curing any medical condition. Headaches and acne, at least, are medical conditions.
I’ve had some huns tell me EO will cure my sons autism so nothing shocks me about claims.
Dogs & cats are sensitive to oils and some can be toxic to them.
Oils to avoid around dogs specifically
oil of cinnamon, citrus, pennyroyal, peppermint, pine, sweet birch, tea tree (melaleuca), wintergreen, and ylang ylang, are poisonous to dogs. Both ingestion and skin exposure can be toxic.
Yes, all of those are true for cats too.
Thank you Beth!
Actually Lily, it looks like the above oils are food grade oils.
