Now, time for the items!

Detox Market October 2018 - Pure Harmony Hairbath Front

Pure Harmony Hairbath, 10 oz. – Retail Value $26

Detox Market October 2018 - Pure Harmony Hairbath Back

As someone who dyes my hair, I typically use sulfate-free shampoo, so I was really excited to see that this Pure Harmony Hairbath is sulfate free. I could mostly smell the orange scent of this, which wasn’t my favorite, but if you typically like citrus scents you’d definitely like this. It felt very light when I washed my hair and helped detangle it. It didn’t foam up too much on my scalp (which from my experience is typical in some of these more natural shampoos), but my hair felt clean afterward. It’s made from extracts of aloe, pumpkin seed, shea butter, and coconut oils which are all ingredients I feel good about.

Detox Market October 2018 - Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner Front

Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner, 10 oz. – Retail Value $28

Detox Market October 2018 - Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner Back

The conditioner has a similar smell to the shampoo, but the citrus is a bit more muted and I really enjoyed the scent. The conditioner made my hair feel soft when I applied it. On the card in the box it says that these are very concentrated and recommends a pea-sized portion of conditioner, but I used closer to a quarter-sized portion for my medium-length hair and didn’t feel like I had leftover residue in my hair. On most of these products they have instructions – on the conditioner, it’s labeled “hair ceremony” and tells you to take a deep breath, which I thought was nice to include and was a great reminder to relax.

Detox Market October 2018 - Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner Front 2

Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner, 10 oz. – Retail Value $24

Detox Market October 2018 - Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner Back

The leave-in conditioner spray was very light and refreshing – I really loved the smell of this one. Most leave in conditioners that I use feel much heavier on my hair and weigh it down, but this one felt more like a styling spray. I’ll need to use it a few more times to decide whether or not I feel like my hair is becoming more moisturized from it, but overall I really enjoyed using it!

Detox Market October 2018 - Hydrating Hair Masque Front

Hydrating Hair Masque, 4 fl oz. – Value Listed $30

Detox Market October 2018 - Hydrating Hair Masque Back

This hair masque is crafted with flax seed, monoi oil, shea butter, coconut, tamanu oils, and quinoa. I used the shampoo first and followed with this hair masque – the instructions say to leave it in for 5-10 minutes or longer. Since I get a bit impatient with these sometimes, I probably left it on for closer to 5. The next day, I actually did notice that my hair looked much shinier than usual. I’ll want to use this a few more times to see if I feel a longer-term effect on healthier hair, but I definitely liked the initial results of this.

Detox Market October 2018 - Harmonic Healing Oil Front

Harmonic Healing Oil, 1 oz. – Retail Value $24

Detox Market October 2018 - Harmonic Healing Oil Back

In general, I am a huge fan of body oils. This one has flower essences, so the scent was floral which I enjoyed. I applied it to my hands, arms, and chest to start, and it definitely made them feel soft. Sometimes with body oils, it can feel slippery if you apply too much, so I made sure to start with a pea-sized amount to feel how far it spread. A little bit definitely goes a long way – my favorite is putting this oil on after being freshly showered in the evening before bed. Super relaxing!

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $132. I think that’s a great value for the $49.95 cost, including free shipping! High-end hair products made with natural ingredients are sometimes hard to come by as well as expensive, so I was overall very excited with this box. It’s exciting to get a box where I know I’ll get use out of every product. Can’t wait to see what’s in next month’s box!

  1. Except for the detangler, these products were way too heavy for my fine straight hair. They work perfectly on my doodle though. He is getting super pampered this month!

  2. I LOVE this box! It’s my first month with them and I am so, so happy. I’ve been loyal to a different brand of natural shampoo and conditioner, which I still love, but all of these products turned out to be a win AND a great value.

I noticed a much more floral scent than orange or citrus (prob would prefer organize/citrus- don’t love floral aside from jasmine/gardenia). I also felt like it lathered a lot – enough for me to check the ingredients to make sure that it was really top quality natural ingredients (they are!).

  3. I like the box overall. The shampoo & conditioner did leave my hair shiny and soft, but weighed it down a bit, I need more of a volume shampoo. They do smell really nice, and the oil is lovely.

  4. I canceled because we got face oil/moisturizers for so many months and now they finally have some variety. So bummed I missed this box 😞

  5. Wish more beauty boxes would do hair care, aka shampoo/shampoo/styler, NOT dry shampoo, versus skincare.

    • Totally agree with you. I like hair products, and I’m already sick of dry shampoo six months in to sub boxes, lol.
This shampoo though, I thought the smell was divine!!

  6. Major box envy, this was a perfect hair assortment.

Enjoy all of those wonderful and clean products!

  7. I thought this was a great box. I loved how they included a full range of full sized products to cleanse & condition the hair. Since I have a ton of hair oils waiting to be used, I was glad to see their oil said it’s good for skin too, so I’ll be using it once I finish the eir nyc body oil I got in Pearleque’s box. 🙂
