Every month, Target launches a beauty box, and it usually sells out very quickly. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on the next Target Beauty Box, make sure to sign up for the My Subscription Addiction daily newsletter!

(This box is still available!)

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Box: Target Beauty Box – October

The Cost: $7

The Products:

  • Tom’s Luminous White Toothpaste with Fluoride
  • Love Beauty And Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Shampoo
  • Love Beauty And Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Conditioner
  • bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Gentle Jelly Cleanser with Rose Flower
  • Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
  • Olay Total Effects Whips

Check out all of my Target Beauty Box reviews and all of our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes!

This box comes with an info card and a Target coupon good for $3 off a beauty purchase of $15 or more:

Now, on to the items!

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion - 2 oz Value $3.22

This lotion can work for both face and body, it's lightweight, absorbs quickly, and my favorite part? It's fragrance-free, phthalate-free, and paraben-free!

bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Gentle Jelly Cleanser with Rose Flower - 1 oz Value $1.56

This is my favorite discovery in the box! You apply it to a cotton round and it then start removing makeup - it's like magic! Super gentle, ingredient-conscious, and it can double as a face cleanser when you add water.

Love Beauty & Planet Volume Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Shampoo – 3 oz Retail Value $1.99

I've sampled this before thanks to Target, and it's great. And, we get a matching conditioner!

Love Beauty & Planet Volume Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Conditioner – 3 oz Value $1.99

First, excellent sized samples! These are perfect for travel and this set lasted me for an entire week!

I love the formulas. They are ingredient-conscious, the scent is fab, and they didn’t weigh down my hair at all.

Tom’s Luminous White Toothpaste with Fluoride - .75 oz Value $.80

When I don't have toothpaste samples from subscription boxes, I buy Tom's toothpaste, so this is an ideal sample for me! And the whitening is always a plus!

Olay Total Effects Whips - .5 oz Value $8.53

This is a rich whipped cream that hydrates without leaving any greasy finish. It's designed to help improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pores. I love the matte finish, and the added fragrance is subtle enough that it doesn't bother me.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $18.09. That's great for a $7 Target beauty box. And the $3 beauty coupon always adds value to me. Some of these items in the box are repeats for me, but everything is useful, and the Bliss makeup remover is a game changer!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? YES!

I got the eye box this month. I was just browsing the Target website and I see that both boxes are now only $5! It doesn’t say they are on sale or anything, just the price changed to $5. Curious…

Can you review the other October Target Box! I normally get both, but did not have a need for this box this time. Thank you!

Sold Out! Darn it. I was gonna order another one.

It’s not sold out….I just ordered.

I was trying to skip this month but after seeing this review I’m on the fence about ordering. I like that olay and that makeup melt. So I may bend. Thanks Liz. Lol

The makeup melt is sooo good! 🙂

BLISS reformulated and repackaged all of their products. I’ve been really pleased with them since they rebranded. They’re cruelty-free now and their products seem more modern.

I heard that the jelly cleanser is supposed to be a pretty good dupe to Glossier’s much-hyped jelly cleanser. I’ve never tried either, but since Glossier’s is supposed to be good, I’m excited to try the one from Bliss. 🙂

Once again, breezed through spoilers and wasn’t too interested, but purchased after MSA review. I think the shampoo and conditioner will be good for my super oily hair and the Olay sample is pretty generous!

I got both boxes this time. They are pretty good. Can use almost everything.

Excited for this one! LOVE the scent of the shampoo and conditioner, plus that conditioner formula soaks in instantly and rinses easily, which I love. I had a feeling that Bliss cleanser would be a good one. Can’t wait to try it!

Wish Target would come out with a house box with cleaning products, candles, dish/laundry detergents. I have discovered so many good products through the beauty box.

I was just thinking the same thing the other day. Target should offer boxes for various other product categories. Not sure that they would be as popular, as many may not want to pay for cleaning samples or household products.

Lisa

Darn it Liz! I didn’t buy it until now. You’re very good at reviewing. Ha!

The Target website says the shampoo and conditioner are $1.99 ea for 3oz. size not $3.99.

Sorry, looks like the pricing changed since I last reviewed these. I’ll update the post. Thanks for letting me know!

This is s decent box, but they send stuff like this every single month! I am overflowing with toothpaste, moisturizers and shampoos! I got the other box because at least it had some originals in it (despite the fact that it had another mascara!).

I really wish Target would stop sending the same things over and over again. We got this exact same shampoo in April. I am still trying to get through that and all the Nexus shampoos I’ve received! At least they didn’t have another mask box (ugh!).

Please Target – give us something original next month!

I got this box and almost always get it every month. The items are always useful. If I don’t like something, my husband or kids do. My husband loves the cetaphil.

Angela

I also got this one I love it very affordable………. is it me or are the boxes coming later and later now……and NOT ON THE 1ST MONDAY AT ALL

Paula

Yeah, they’re becoming somewhat unpredictable, aren’t they? I don’t like that!

But the boxes have been so MEH lately that they don’t sell out for weeks, so you don’t even have to stay on top of the release date. They used to sell out in HOURS! That says something…

Maybe the beauty box business hasn’t gotten too competitive and it’s harder for them to keep up? Funny though, because I always seem to be really pleased with my Walmart boxes. Maybe I just expect more from Target since their boxes were so impressive in the past?

tam

I wasn’t too interested in this box until reading the review…LOL

I went ahead and purchased two of these and one of the eye boxes. One for me and Christmas gifts for my daughters

I just got mine yesterday but it was missing the Tom’s and the Bliss but target customer service was great and will send me the missing items. I love the shampoo and conditioner and they’re perfect sample sizes.

Lisa

I think I saw the shampoo and conditioner for 1.99 each in the travel section ….

Urg! Trying hard to resist this month’s boxes, but I’m really struggling! Hoping I can hold out until they’re sold out!

Great review!

Debbie

I can’t wait to get mine! Will use every item. Love the shampoo and conditioner brand, bought the full sizes after last samples so i’m looking forward to the new fragrance.

I like their tea tree one quite a bit too.

First Target box I’ve skipped in a while.

I don’t like the shampoo conditioner combo, I have probably 50+ travel toothpastes, have enough moisturizer, and the Bliss and shampoo are repeats.

Just didn’t need it.
