September 2018 Marvel Collector Corps Review – Venom

This box IS VENOM! I couldn’t be more excited to dig into an all-Venom subscription box!

This month arrives with a card the details the items in the box.

Plus – the hint at the next theme!

Venom Shirt – Value $15?

The month kicks off with a POP’d Venom t-shirt. I’ve been seeing a lot more Funko subscription t-shirts out in the wild lately, and that’s really cool – this happens to be one of my favorite designs just because it’s Venom and pretty straight-forward.

Venom POP – Value $25-30?

Of course, a Funko box should ALWAYS come with a POP – this month sends us a mid-air Venom.

I think this is a cool sculpt! Check out the veins, tongue, and saliva – it’s all classic Venom.

They have been rolling out some fun new Venom POPs – like Deadpool – where the symbiote is taking over other characters, like Hulk, Iron Man, and Cap – that being said, I NEED that Carnage POP!

Venom Pint Size Hero – Value $10?

You’ll also get a Venom pint size hero figure. It’s translucent, which adds a little bit of extra intrigue for me.

Venom Stress Ball – Value $10?

This might be my surprise favorite in the box – it’s a super squishy stress ball.

It has the shape of a POP mug.

But it is SUPER squishy and kind of holds its state for a bit – it’s just fun to toy around with it when I’m in need of a distraction or a break.

Venom Decal – Value $5?

The box finishes off with a Venom decal – it’s a great design, too!

Verdict: I’m a bigger fan of Venom than Deadpool, so I may be a bit biased here, but I like this better than the first Amazon-Funko delivery in July. On top of that, I’m liking the bonuses better than the typical patch and pin – but I may be in the minority on that one.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Your first box will be the Marvel First Ten Years themed box!

  1. Man, I wish I picked up this box – I LOVE Venom! Watched the film on opening night with my sister and am going again with a group of friends this weekend. (Tom Hardy’s performance is amazing!)

  2. OMG!! I had no idea this was what became of Collectors Corps! I was a subscriber from the first month until Funko booted everyone off and stopped the box. I hope that I can still find this box at a decent price, I’ve been dying for a cool Venom Pop!!
