August 2018 ‘Medieval’ Loot Gaming Review
The August 2018 features 5 items. Unfortunately, even though it was initially delayed, they still couldn’t get all of the items to us on time – it’s missing the Dark Souls item.
You’ll get a large fold-out information sheet.
One side features a 28×22 poster – this month’s poster features Dungeons & Dragons.
The reverse side will walk you through the items in the crate.
Medieval Pin – Value $5?
This month’s exclusive pin it a Loot Gaming crest – I like the little Nintendo cartridge with the LC logo on it.
Dungeons and Dragons T-Shirt – Value $15?
The August shirt is more of a classic one. It’s a D&D inspired shirt – with the waistline print of a classic dragon – and the Dungeons and Dragons logo close by.
Skyrim Dovakhiin Helmet Replica – Value $
Skyrim fans will recognize this helmet right away – even I recognize it and don’t play the game! I like the little details in this desktop replica – check out the weathered look of the metal and horns.
God of War Print – Value $10?
God of War is still holding up as my favorite game of the year (Spider-Man is definitely giving it a run for its money, though!) – so I’m always happy to get more items from this game. This print does a great job of capturing the beauty of the game – it’s a high-quality paper and the color is perfectly done.
Here comes the extra bummer. On top of the shipping delay, there’s actually a delay on the Dark Souls pin set – I haven’t heard or seen any pin sets arriving just yet, so the arrival date is totally up in the air – we’ll post more once we know more.
Verdict: A shipping delay and now an item delay absolutely crushes any type of unboxing excitement or experience, in my opinion. Even fans who love the items are bound to be let down as a whole for the August shipment. I keep saying this, but I hope they get the shipping issues together ASAP.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No – they’re currently taking orders for the October 2018 box. You’ll have until the 27th of each month to get that month’s theme!
