Esteemed leaders company bought out la mer. Formula is not the same and luxurious as before as they use vaseline as a base but the important ingredient is kelp, seaweed and you can get that in mario budesco’s line for a fraction of the cost. Estee Lauder company and Unilever and other large cosmetic companies are buying out smaller companies just like they did with bare minerals. Read ingredients just like you do with food products

I clicked on this to see how outrageous the cost would be…that’s a car payment for me. Nope LOL

Haha😄 Exactly my thoughts.

The packaging of this is beautiful, but…….
Isn’t advent the 4 weeks leading to Christmas? This is a ’12 days of Christmas’ calendar, not an ‘advent’ calendar. If they had put 4 weeks of samples in there it MIGHT be worth it.
But no, it still wouldn’t be worth a mortgage payment, lol.

I thought it would be neat to get, but sadly right now I can’t afford it. (I just love La Mer!

However if you are interested and you haven’t ordered before from them, you can get 75$ off a 350$ Purchase or more. Or there is a GWP with 4 delex samples with a purchase of 300$ or more.

Haha, if I purchased something at the LaMer counter I could walk away with half of these items as extras!

Unless of course companies are now going to sell their samples. Looks like a Sephora inspired trend.

That is absurd.

$400 for less than $600 value (based on U.S. retail price) for a bunch of random samples, they are out of their mind tbh.

I was holding out for this one, but now I’m so disappointed. I still haven’t found the advent calendar for me this year, and thought this might be the one.

Jen Chan have you tried Elemis? I buy their Advent calendar and it lasts me almost the entire year for my skincare. I love the products, they work very well for me personally, and you get a Full Size Pro-Collegen Marine Cream (R.V. $130-160 just for that one jar)

Yummy, oh if I only could…

Samples used to be freely handed out at make up counters in a bid to get you to buy the product. La Mer used to load me up hand over fist when I purchased their cream. Now samples are being sold for hefty profit, it’s insane. Instead of this “advent calendar”, I say purchase a full size product and be done or avoid this altogether. Samples are samples. 400 dollars? No way.

I thought it might be 150-170 and it’s so stupid to pay so much money for that.. and page loaded and I see $400!!! For samples? That’s extremely stupid

Personally, I was entirely unimpressed with this brand. Yes, I spent a LOT of money on a full face regimen, and wasn’t sad when the products were finished. I’d love to be in the financial position to buy this; but even if I was, I’d spend that money somewhere else.
It’s so nice to not have FOMO this time.

Have never heard of La Mer so it’s easy to pass on this $400 advent box? Probably wouldn’t want it if they were giving it away.

Dea

So between Jennifer Aniston and her ilk, I guess they’ll sell maybe 15 of these.

Taren

Wow. I don’t think my husband would like me paying $400 for a dozen samples.

Karol

Love La Mer but these are tiny samples. Would rather grab 1 or2 full size on Rue La La at this price.
Who thinks this Advent Calendar stuff is getting a little crazy?

Redhed36

I’m with you. Plus the mark up from UK prices to US prices for the same item makes me sad. Like we aren’t going to check or something. I don’t know about this one but others.

Michelle

Me! I would love to buy a few for gifts and myself, at these prices I just can not afford them.

Apricot

Holy sticker-shock! Just no. Lol

Julie

Nope.

I’ll be honest and say I clicked on this just to see how much it cost. Advent calendars are so expensive this year I was actually expecting it to be $450!

Reply ButtonReply

Irina

I expected price around $150 and I’m more than impressed now😂🙄 espcially after seeing how tiny they are
