Blog Posts about Korean Skinny Skin Care and and Acne Prone Skin Diet

Here, they've included a couple excerpts from their blog on "Korean Skinny Skin Care" and an "Acne-Prone Skin Diet". These definitely make me want to read more!

Makeup Facial Mask by Glowhill back of Makeup Facial Mask by Glowhill

Makeup Facial Mask by Glowhill - Listed Retail Value $3.00

I couldn't find this one online to purchase from a credible source which actually gives this a bit of a higher value in my book since it's tough to get ahold of. I was excited to try this once I read the "Joah Tip" that said it can be used as a makeup primer after sun cream for 5-10 minutes instead of the normal usage of 10-20 minutes. Upon opening, I saw it had a pretty pink iridescent serum and I placed it on my face even though it was much too large. As I walked away from the mirror, I got to read the package and froze. it contains pearl! While that sounds lovely, my skin didn't react well to pearl sheet masks in the past, so I had to take this off for fear of having a reaction. While that is 100% just my personal experience and I'm not sure this would have done the same, I didn't want to risk it. Drat! The idea of using a sheet mask as a primer is a cool idea!

Spot Perfume Brush in Peony and Blush by Glowhill - Listed Retail Value $15.00

The next item is also from Glowhill and rather unique! I've never seen a brush-on perfume before. I wasn't sure if I should expect a powder or liquid and it took me a while to figure out how to use it. First, you must twist the bottom to the "open" position. Smart that they put a lock on it so it doesn't dispense while in your purse! Once in the "open" position, I simply had to press the button a few times to get the perfume flowing. much like a paint marker. The soft brush allows you to brush on the correct amount of fragrance (in sort of a serum-form) onto your skin without overdoing it. There look to be two variations and I received the "Peony & Blush" scent which is super light and floral. I think this is an awesome idea for travel or to keep in your bag. I love the idea of brushing on a fragrance with more control than a spray.

Sun Project Water Sun cream with 50 SPF from Thank You Farmer back of Sun Project Water Sun Cream with 50 SPF from Thank You Farmer

Sun Project Water Sun Cream with 50 SPF from Thank You Farmer - Retail Value $23.00

I didn't expect much from this one but oh my god I love it! This is one of the best SPF moisturizers I've ever used and definitely the lightest. It feels like a moisturizer without SPF due to it's super non-greasy, not heavy consistency. My face feels incredibly soft and I can rest assured I am protecting my porcelain skin with a 50 SPF. Plus, it has phyto oligo, Inca omega oil, and bamboo extracts as well. I've been using this for about a week now and am so glad it's available online so I can buy more! This is one of my favorites of the box and probably of the whole month.

Premium Snail Wrinkle Serum by Haute Cuisine back of Premium Snail Wrinkle Serum by Haute Cuisine dropper for Premium Snail Wrinkle Serum by Haute Cuisine

Premium Snail Wrinkle Serum by Haute Cuisine - Retail Value $28.40

This is my other favorite of the box/month! I was excited to try a serum with snail filtrate because that just sounds wild and I'm always down to try new beauty ingredients. I am really impressed with this serum! The texture is what I can only describe as "bubble solution-like".  It's not very thick but has a very slight stickiness to it until it's absorbed into the skin. The info sheet directed me to simple "pat pat pat" it into my skin rather than massaging, which I find to be kind of nice. I've been using this after cleansing and using a toner and then following it up with the above SPF moisturizer after a few minutes in the morning and again at night after cleansing and toning. These two products are my new favorite regiment and I'm really excited about it! My face was having a little trouble the last couple weeks and I think these two have improved things dramatically.

Premium Snail Double Effect Mask back of Premium Snail Double Effect Mask

Premium Snail Double Effect Mask - Retail Value $3.00

The second sheet mask this month is from the same company that makes the serum. I didn't get a chance to use it yet but based on how much I love the serum, I think it will have similar results with a deeper hydration since it's to be left on for 10-20 minutes. I'll most likely be using this mask on a Sunday evening after a weekend of running around and staying up too late.

Verdict: This month's JoahBox was even better than the last and is quickly becoming a favorite. For $33.00, I received five items that have a retail total of about $72.40. Two of them ended up being some of my favorite new products but I liked all of them (except save that one mask with pearl). I love discovering new K-Beauty products and this is a great way to do so.

Hi Marne, the glowhill mask can be found on the site but it’s base in Korea so not sure if they shipped international. The full prize is $24 for 10 pcs. I found it on glowhill.com after seeing them from a website called 0.8l., a site where you can get kbeauty products for free or for a trial prize of $3.99. The product they’re offering is very limited and the chance of getting free stuff is minimal. I signed up a month ago but still have no luck on free trial but did try 3.99 trial and it was worth the 4 bucks. Check out 08liter.com maybe you have better luck than me. 😊

Hi fellow literite, I have to second 08.l I’ve been able to try a good amount of try frees. I’ve been able to find some holy grails products from them, especially at $3.99 can’t beat that😊

The iridescent sheet mask was pretty but no way it could be used as primer. It left the skin so sticky and would not get absorbed for hours! And even after putting the foundation on , the skin was sticky for the rest of the day. Couldn’t wait for the night to come soon enough so I could wash my face.
The idea is cool to use a sheet mask as a primer but it didn’t deliver.
