I Iove CT but not this calander simply due to colors I hate red on me so need need for this but for fellow fans Net a Porter has great full size value bundles for 167 in color choices for all

Today they even offered 10% and KK was already on sale for 25

So I suppose some of us members are CT users/fans lol

Way too expensive.

Why are people surprised that luxury brands have calendars that are luxury priced?

Brands like CT price where they are because of the market they’re after. You don’t have to pay it, but don’t expect them to lower the price point to make it more appealing to you either.

I think the objection is paying 200$ to try something without choice/options. I’ve never gotten CT in a box before, and while I’ve heard good things, I won’t plunk down 200$ to try it. It’d be cool if they did a smaller, more economic calendar for cheap-o-s like me who’d rather just be ugly than gamble 200$

I definitely agree that there’s a market out there for these luxe calendars (and luxe products in general), which is why they can continue to charge the prices they do for them every year. These brands would cease to exist if there weren’t. I don’t think those of us on a sub box addict site are their target audience. 😉

Exactly! That being said, there is still value to the set, it’s just a comparative value. For the brand it’s a solid price. It’s just not inexpensive.

Is it evil to hope all these overpriced Calendars crash and burn with sales so companies take note that we aren’t willing to pay anything they ask?

For $200 for a beauty collection, I expect all products to be full-sized. Pass.

I feel like the advent market is way different than last year. There seem to be many more calendar options, but almost none of them seem reasonably priced. There are 12 items in this calendar for $200, which breaks down to $16.67/item. In my mind, a mini mascara isn’t worth $16.67, nor is 15 mL of a clay mask or a mini black eyeliner, unless that eyeliner also washes and folds my laundry.

There are definitely far more calendars this year than last year, and I bet there’ll be even more next year! For those that have been around since last year (like this Charlotte Tilbury calendar), for the most part they’re all the same price as prior years (this calendar was also $200 for the same number of products), of course with a few exceptions… for example, Skinstore’s is cheaper than last year, and I think Lookfantastic’s is more expensive than last year.

I agree also. Maybe we will see some awesome clearance of some after the holidays because not many are paying these prices lol

I got last year and really liked it. I was especially wowed by the makeup. Specifically mascara, Eyes to Mesmerize, the Color Chameleon and the eye liner. These are now my go to. I was going to buy the calendar again but decided to just spend $200 to get the colors I really want and in full size.

If you haven’t tried CT, I would say this is very much worth $200. Maybe buy it through a GWP deal at one of the retailers like Nordstrom?

Absolutely agree. All boxes are way too expensive than I would and could pay for that

I though a hissy fit about the Body Shop advent calendar b/c of the price difference from the UK box and the US box, but this one seems fair. It’s going for 150 euros in UK and that converts to a~$175. We get the same free samples. They do offer free shipping but technically the shipping is included in the price of the box. Around $25 to ship from the UK. If you do a search of Eltoria on Youtube you can see an unboxing of last years box and she will likely do an unboxing for this years as well.

Major FOMO. Been wanting to try this brand.

If you have not made the plunge yet on CT, this is a great deal. I purchased “Pillow Talk” from the website just a few weeks ago and really am soooo happy with it. I recieved 2 samples (foundation and magic cream) that Ill be using on a date night or my next in-person job interview. The lippie is a great “my lips look awesomely natural” color and formula. I loved it so much that I bought KimK.W. this week from Sephora—received it yesterday and it so looks like KimK’s nude lip.

Seriously!

But I do like the comment from Christy! That was amazingly funny!
