Now on to the items!

Laura Geller New York Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Gloss in Blushing - 1.3 ml Value $8.40

This lip gloss provides a sheer wash of color (in a lovely mauve pink), a healthy dose of shine, and just a hint of shimmer. The formula wasn't too sticky, and I loved it layered over my matte liquid lipstick.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

ittsē Pearl Eye Shadow in Metamorphosis - 1.5 g Value $7.50

(This is practically the size of the full-size pan. I assumed it was full size at first.)

This is a shimmery, pearlescent light mocha. And I'm seriously impressed with the formula. Excellent pigment, so easy to blend, stays put, and no fall out issues.

Here it is swatched below the lip gloss:

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment - 10 g Value $4.29

This is a new-to-me brand that I've been wanting to try, so I was pumped to see it in the curated box this month! To use this exfoliating treatment, you apply it to clean skin that is a bit wet, let sit for 5 minutes, then massage to remove. (Use up to 3 times a week. If you have sensitive skin, spot test first.)

On the exfoliating particle size scale, this is on the grittier end, but it didn't irritate my skin. And I liked how smooth and soft my skin felt after using it - and it wasn't dried out at all.

R+Co ACID WASH ACV Cleansing Rinse - 1 oz Value $5.33

I really love the R+Co brand – their haircare products all smell SO good. I was expecting this one to not smell good because of the vinegar, but the vinegar is actually pretty subtle! If you aren’t familiar with Apple Cider Vinegar rinses, they are a great way to remove product buildup from your hair. And this rinse is easy to use – wet hair in the shower,  apply it directly to your scalp, massage into hair, leave in for 1-3 minutes, then rinse. (Then follow with shampoo + conditioner.)

Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream - 5 ml Value $4.80

Good news! I am happy to report that this tube is completely full! And this formula is lovely, too. It's a rich cream that's hydrating and plumps your skin without leaving it greasy.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $30.32 - I think that's good for a $10 beauty box! In general, the curated boxes from Birchbox tend to have a good value, so if that's important to you, I recommend picking those each month! I was happy with thie box this month, too. I had several new great product discoveries (so impressed with that eyeshadow formula), and all the sample sizes are multi-use, too.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this box is available for a one-time purchase! And if you subscribe to Birchbox now, check the image on the sign-up page. The box design pictured is the first month you'll receive. You can't pick the curated box as your first box, but you'll be able to pick it every month moving forward.

Use coupon code READYTOJET to get this Stila makeup set free with a 3-month subscription. ($10 a month).

The set is a $36 value and includes:

I didn’t do the curated box, but still received the dr. Jart, the ACV , and the sand & sky (I chose the Davines product and also got winky luxe strobe cream. Anyway, my question-does anyone know if ACV products in general are OK to use on colored hair? Seems like they’d strip color considering they’re basically hardcore clarifying shampoos?

I just used the acv rinse on my highlighted hair this morning. It actually seemed to brighten up the highlights a bit, and gave my hair more volume. I actually think I will repurchase this for use a couple of times a month on a regular basis.

I loved this box! I ended up buying the customizable ittse palette and some additional shadows. (I did not notice this was a sample eyeshadow either!) ittse has a good selection of matte and pearl shadows, and you can add various shades of face and cheek powder too. Birchbox has a lot of their stuff on the site, but the ittse site has even more. The cost was a little lower through ittse, but I get free shipping through Birchbox, so ultimately that’s where I got my palette (plus they had the variety I wanted). I’d recommend checking out the ittse site for more options though! Oh, and the packaging was super cute which isn’t important but adds to the great experience overall.

Then you’ll get a nasty email that it’s only for “new”subscribers. Then stop sending me the emails to subscribe!

I’ve never had any issues with the new subscriber gift. I’ve been on and off for a few years and used the same account.

I recommend it. It’s a really cute set, the liquid lip is my favorite long lasting lip formula, and the mascara and eyeliner are great, too! 🙂

I love the ACV rinse on between shampoo days. It also keeps my hair from tangling. I’m eyeing the curated boxes lately if they stay consistent I may resubscribe to Birchbox.
