Now on to the items!
Laura Geller New York Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lip Gloss in Blushing - 1.3 ml Value $8.40
This lip gloss provides a sheer wash of color (in a lovely mauve pink), a healthy dose of shine, and just a hint of shimmer. The formula wasn't too sticky, and I loved it layered over my matte liquid lipstick.
(Swatched in lower photo.)
ittsē Pearl Eye Shadow in Metamorphosis - 1.5 g Value $7.50
(This is practically the size of the full-size pan. I assumed it was full size at first.)
This is a shimmery, pearlescent light mocha. And I'm seriously impressed with the formula. Excellent pigment, so easy to blend, stays put, and no fall out issues.
Here it is swatched below the lip gloss:
Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment - 10 g Value $4.29
This is a new-to-me brand that I've been wanting to try, so I was pumped to see it in the curated box this month! To use this exfoliating treatment, you apply it to clean skin that is a bit wet, let sit for 5 minutes, then massage to remove. (Use up to 3 times a week. If you have sensitive skin, spot test first.)
On the exfoliating particle size scale, this is on the grittier end, but it didn't irritate my skin. And I liked how smooth and soft my skin felt after using it - and it wasn't dried out at all.
R+Co ACID WASH ACV Cleansing Rinse - 1 oz Value $5.33
I really love the R+Co brand – their haircare products all smell SO good. I was expecting this one to not smell good because of the vinegar, but the vinegar is actually pretty subtle! If you aren’t familiar with Apple Cider Vinegar rinses, they are a great way to remove product buildup from your hair. And this rinse is easy to use – wet hair in the shower, apply it directly to your scalp, massage into hair, leave in for 1-3 minutes, then rinse. (Then follow with shampoo + conditioner.)
Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream - 5 ml Value $4.80
Good news! I am happy to report that this tube is completely full! And this formula is lovely, too. It's a rich cream that's hydrating and plumps your skin without leaving it greasy.
Verdict: This box has a value of about $30.32 - I think that's good for a $10 beauty box! In general, the curated boxes from Birchbox tend to have a good value, so if that's important to you, I recommend picking those each month! I was happy with thie box this month, too. I had several new great product discoveries (so impressed with that eyeshadow formula), and all the sample sizes are multi-use, too.
