Lol at You can alternatively try applying to the nipples or nicks from shaving to soothe and get a nice boost of moisture!

I am debating if I want to skip this month or not. I am really grossed out by foot masks. Last time I used one it looked like a scene out of a horror movie skin was everywhere.

So we are just getting a whole box of masks and glam glow??

I think they did a great job with it. Three months ago they said this month would be themes ”masks”. They’ve done a great job with variety given the category.

We have a wash-off mask, a cellulose mask, a lip mask, a chemical foot peel, and I believe the next will be a sheet mask.

That’s good variety in the category and it’s good brands.

I agree, I’m so happy with Allure! They always send such good skincare and they make sure to send samples that are big enough to actually get a feel for the product. It’s mask month, I don’t know why this is a surprise? I’m sure there will be a couple more products we aren’t yet aware of. I’ve got my makeup figured out. I’m all about skincare, but I still realize that sometimes Allure is going to send me a box full of make-up. I just hang in there till they switch back to skincare. It’s the nature of subscription boxes.

Not worth the price..Even if it is a mask theme, theres WAY too many sample packets, and very tiny travel sz. Im not complaining about the price, im complaining about the sample sizes. Too many..time to cancel.

Justmissjamey

It’s not really exciting to pay 16.00 almost for a box of masks. I mean, you can go to ULTA or Sephora and find them for 2.00 and other boxes (ipsy) send them like candy. Those lip masks are a joke. If they were going to do skincare, that’s cool, then do skincare, but not this junk. Seems overpriced and not a very good curation at all. Just cheap money waster. It’s one thing to put one mask in, or a bonus mask. Just like I love lipstick, I wouldn’t expect allure to send out 5 lip products in ONE month time. Idk, this whole year has been a bust allure wise, since they got the new lady that chooses items. The past two months were amazing, but two good boxes out of 12 months, just seem kinda hard to keep being loyal.

Plus i would expect a while box of masks to be in a lower priced sub..heck, the ten dollar ipsy sub sends out masks like toilet paper, and they give you 2 that count as 1 item and still manage to send other interesting products. I just expect allure to be a bit better then this.

So sorry to hear of your awful experience…and yes, Allure has terrible “Customer Service”, but I hope you will hang on as it appears they are attempting to get better.

I am addicted to skincare and am positively delighted that ALLURE is doing a month in dedication to just that. And yes I have a lot of them (more than 80?), but I actually use them all the time…and my skin has thanked me for doing just that.

Thank you Allure, I do love you (despite of your horrible, lousy, terrible Customer Service).

Nicole

LOL! Their customer service is truly horrible.😂😂😂 I agree with you, sheet masks are so underrated. I use them almost daily and my skin has never looked better!😉

I just got the free gift also through Amazon too yesterday it is the Spongelle also

There better be color

God, enough with the masks!!

I can’t use them until the dermatologist clears me, and I have probably over a dozen sheet masks and God knows how many sample sizes.

Gidget

Yep! Masks! So far the only one I didn’t want is the foot mask and I’m not quite sure how I feel about the lip shaped mask but I can finally use the rest. For quite some time I was limited on what I could and couldn’t use on my skin anywhere. Then it was just specifically my face and I’m still paying for it. Hopefully you get cleared to use them soon. In the meantime, save what you really want to try, give some away as gifts, donate them or swap them. Hope you get well soon.

Lisa

Well too bad. Some of us use a mask every day. Subscriptions are for the general public, if you have special needs then you are wasting your money.

Charlotte

November’s theme is masks. It’s literally a box full of masks. We’ve known this since August.

Laura

Lol, this!

Barbara

…and it’s one reason why I have been breathlessly waiting for this month!

Sarah

Not sure how I feel about this item.

For anyone contemplating ordering a second box, here’s a warning story:
Last month I successfully created a second account under a different email and slightly different name (Dani vs Danielle). I got my order confirmation and shipping info on the new account, and then my actual box. However, I never got an email or a box for my original account, so I checked my two different credit cards and found that they charged me for the new account on one card, charged my other card for the original one, and then credited the original. So basically they wouldn’t let me have a second one, and took it upon themselves to drop my original account and corresponding email address and changed it to the new account without communicating any of it to me. When they finally replied to my email asking why my other box hadn’t been delivered and explaining it was for my sister for Christmas gifts I planned to bundle so I had it sent to me, they basically just said, with NO reason or explanation at all, “we canceled one account and changed your email address. If you want a box for your sister you can call for her to order it.” WHAT??? I get that maybe they won’t send more than one box to the same address, but why not advise me of that after I placed the order? And if that’s the case, why delete the original account’s email and replace it with the email from the new/second account you won’t allow me to have???

I want to just cancel altogether but I can only imagine the confusion awaiting me when I call them (since there’s no hope of untangling this situation via email) and they can’t even figure out their own mess.
For such a gigantic global company, under the umbrella of an even bigger international company, it’s astonishing how incompetent they are with their systems and communications (or lack there of.)

Wow more money for them yet they don’t want it. Even ipsy says sorry you can’t have 2 bags under 1 account but just sign up using a different email. You would think money’s money. But this box doesn’t sell out really right? So… I’m lost on that one as well lol. Hope everything works out for you!

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

Thanks! You’re so right! I hadn’t even thought about the fact that they never sell out! The whole thing just makes no sense.

Stephanie

I get two boxes–one directly through Allure and one through Amazon. If you want a second box, go through Amazon. Also easier to cancel through Amazon. 🙂 I’ve canceled the second box a few times when the boxes weren’t my favorites and just resubscribed on months when I really liked the box.

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

Thanks! I might just do that. I thought maybe the rule was you couldn’t have two boxes with the same name and/or mailing address. I’m pretty aggravated with them but the boxes are such great deals, especially in the past several months. I’m trying to get as many great sub box items as possible to send my younger sister a big beauty basket for Christmas. She lives in NY and can’t afford any sub boxes but LOVES makeup and is starting to get into skincare now. Thanks again for the tip!

Charlotte

Yeah, I have an intermittent second account through Amazon. I cancel for the month’s I don’t want an extra box, and resubscribe when I do. You won’t get any sort of special rate for signing up, or calling customer service and threatening to cancel, but it’s drama free. One time, I literally subscribed on the last day of the month, and still got that month’s box.

Marilyn

So Item #5 should be a hand mask! I could always use another. Hands can get pretty chapped in the winter.

Lisa

I thought item #5 is the pearl mask which I think is face mask.

I think I might pass on November. I sub to Mask Maven, so I have plenty of sheet masks, and I’m not seeing anything spectacular here that I feel justifies the cost of the sub. There are some great masks here, don’t get me wrong, but with sheet masks I’ve not really noticed a huge difference between the $2-3 ones and the more expensive ones.

The GLAMGLOW mask is okay, but I’ve gotten it plenty of times as a sample. I’m not overly fond of the reformulation compared to the original, so it’s moved from a favorite to a mask I’ll use if I get but not go out of my way to get.

The foot mask is another good one, but I buy these already in packs of three for pretty cheap, and they work beautifully.

We’ll see what December has to offer, but for me, so far this is a no.

Reply ButtonReply

Kyuu

That’s my thought too… and I think if I really wanted December, I will subscribe through Amazon which is easier to cancel.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I think I will too! I might even put these in my daughters stocking for Xmas.

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

Have they announced to the December collaboration is with yet? Money is getting tight so I’m having to pick and choose which subscriptions I keep . Really not interested in all these masks but if the collaboration is going to be good I’ll hang in there for it. Can anyone tell me what last year‘s December box was like is it worth it ?

Courtney

FYI I just canceled and re-subscribe through Amazon and my new subscriber bonus gift was a spongell and not what they are advertising ..Which was absolutely fine with me because I love those sponges but just let everybody should know if you subscribe to Amazon you might get something different but my boxes have been exactly the same

Lisa

I subscribed through Amazon on Sept 11th and just received my Spongelle today. I was happy to get a gift because I heard if you subscribe through Amazon you don’t get a welcome gift.

Are you able to apply any promo codes with the Amazon subscription?

Yup, my husband has a sub to Allure beauty box through his Amazon account. 🙂

Nicole

Lol! So does mine!😂😂😂 I actually give my husband some of the extra moisturizers, hair care and lip balms. He loves them.

Jennifer

I like that there’s a good variety of mask types so far. I do have a backlog of masks but I really like them, and my skin has certainly improved since I dived into the sub-box craze! So far the Margot Elena Rhassoul Clay Face Masque might be my favorite (although I haven’t tried 2/3 of the masks I’ve received!) as it acts like a facelift.

I am happy and excited for this box, but I better start using some of my masks I already have lol…I have soooooo many that I havent been using since I started to use Glam Glow and I dont want them to go to waste!! I think I can make some little gift bags up for Christmas with the ones I have now…

LisaM

If you have kids, do them with them. My son, 11, loves doing face masks with me! Maybe you can have a night where you invite your friends and you eat and do masks and watch movies?
