Ok ladies, You all have me scared to try the footmask now and I just signed up for my first box lol Is it really that bad (the peeling) and it lasts for DAYS?!
Reply
Jen
I’ve been doing these for a while– about every 2-3 months. Be sure to soak your feet both before using one and every night after until the peeling is done. And wear socks around the house. It can get a little gross for a few days there, but it’s worth it. Your feet will be baby soft! Just make sure you maintain them with a good foot lotion. Julep and Bliss both make excellent foot lotions to keep them feeling super soft in between peels.

Thanks so much for the information and tips Jen! I guess I will give it a go when it comes lol

A few days, but it is awesome and so worth it!!!

why can’t we get masks that do the peeling for the face.? It is excellent for congested pores.oh well
I am addicted to chemical peels and have found many that work and many that don’t. I love face masks but most of them just break me out.
Glamglow cleanser burned my skin around my eyes and nose , so unsure about that product

Hey guys..does allure show up as conde nast on your PayPal? I was just charged for 10.83 but I thought allure was 15.00?
Reply
Retpunzel
Yeah my bank account said something similar (CN-Allure Beauty Box). Their magazine and website is published by conde nast. This is my second month and they only charged me $10 + tax as well.
Reply
Dinah
Yes. Also, if this is your first box, it’s $10 plus tax (if applicable).
Reply
Miranda Scritchfield
Thank you! That makes me feel better 🙂
Lux
Allure is a Conde Nast imprint, yes.
As to the $10.83, that is the correct price + sales tax, as at least most people’s 1st box
comes with a virtual $5 off coupon. Some lucky folks get that $5 discount on extra boxes that would normally be $15+sales tax.

Mine shows up as beauty box but is this your first box? If it is, it costs $10.

The one and only time I tried a foot mask it left my skin feeling numbs for a couple of weeks. Am I the only one?
Reply
Sarah
No but I am pretty leary of it. I’ve had the skin come off of my hands before. It was a combination of some serious medication I was on at the time and ammonia free glass cleaner. It was painful and disgusting! I’m not sure I want to deal with the fact that the skin comes off your feet for days. To each there own. I’m probably going to put the foot peel up for swap or give it away.

Tara
It doesn’t hurt coming off your feet. I do one a quarter. They are amazing and keep my feet from getting too rough.
Gidget
I’m not sure how I feel about the skin on my feet sloughing off for days. I had that happen to my hands, serious reaction to something. I will probably gift or swap these.

Fun! I’ve always wanted to try a foot mask. I’m not a fan of masks in general, but now I’ll look forward to this box.

The October good genes is 5ml sample. I hope I can tell in few days if this is really the star of her line. These Allure boxes have been good for immediate use for me. So doing a great job of not being overstocked or HAVING to gift product. That balance is not always easy because I love 💕 getting boxes even when I don’t need them. Yay for October and November curation!

Good to know and thank you Ladies. I have some pretty great results with a few products in that way so I will definitely try this. I still have the luna oil as well.. thanks again. I liked the CEO but actually the Badesco brand is not only cheaper but more effective. Of course, my gold standard is Skinceuticals which my skin loves (not at $165)…only teeny samples but again, a sample can go a long way and agree, some can work overnight. Can’t wait.

I totally agree with the other comments, you need very little. I bought an 8ml size at the beginning of September and just ran out this morning. A tiny bit goes a long way. I know everyone’s skin is different but good genes has been a total game changer for me. It has smoothed out the lines on my forehead like nothing else I’ve tried. I just have to be careful how much I use and moisturize after its absorbed.

You’ll be surprised how long you can stretch that small sample. You don’t need to use a lot. I also could tell a difference in one use though. I’ve been using for about a month now and although my skin is still not clear yet (struggling with breakouts) it’s almost like I can feel it purging out all of my congestion slowly. When a pimple does surface it’s gone in a day or two which is amazing for me. The smell is not great, though…but worth it!

Hi Tanya! Beleive it or not I could feel a distinct difference when using the SR good genes the very same night. I did however use a couple other products including the SR night oil and Drunk Elephant Protini. I have tried sooo many different skincare items over the last 4 years or so of sub boxes and this is the first time I can say this. As a disclaimer, I know alot of people had issues with this and other SR products so your results may vary. 🙂

Since November is there mask month, that was a great idea to include a foot mask. I tried the coconut one from Sephora, and it was great. I will definitely get some more of those.

Oohhhh…… November is looking good. May have to buy a second box through Amazon.

I’ve been eyeing foot masks after reading about them but my procrastination has paid off – can’t wait to get this.
My feet seem to get cruddier when they are covered up with shoes and/or boots even if they aren’t display wearing sandals :-). At any rate, I pretty much live in flip flops year round since I’m in Southern California so I don’t have seasonal needs generally.

Anyone know if the foot mask is ok for diabetics?
Reply
Suz
From what ive read, probably not but, ofcourse, talk to a doctor… If you can’t use them, this would make a fantastic gift or stocking stuffer
Reply
ColleenT.
It looks like it is a foot peel, so I would ask your Dr.

Ty for replying. Yeah after looking it up looks like hubby is gonna get something that month lol. I wanted to try it to bah, oh well health first.

Can i use the glamglow as spot treatment? I have dry skin and this don’t seem to be made for dry skin
Reply
La
Yes! I received the sample size in a glam glow duo birthday present from Sephora. I use it as a mask and spot treatment for my cystic acne…Does a great job and the sample lasts a long time!
Reply
Emmy
It’s a fantastic spot treatment! I have the “mega” size that I bought pretty much for that reason. (It’s also good for multi-masking, place on congested/oily areas like your t-zone and then use other masks to target the other areas of your face)
Reply
Courtney
Yes, I have a bottle of this already. You can use this as a spot treatment or a full mask a few times a week.

I don’t know much about Allure. Are there variations or will that foot mask for sure be in there? Thanks

They tell you if it is a variant so everyone will get this.

Some people get really dry and cracked feet in the winter. Some get it bad in the summer. I don’t think foot care is really that seasonable. It depends on personal needs.
Jennifer
Love the fact they are including a foot mask for the November box. I workout a lot and my feet always gets calluses so this is going to be great for my feet !

Marilyn
I’m thinking it would have been even nicer to get the foot mask in a summer box. Boy my feet get trashed during the summer!
Reply
cindy
The thing about foot masks, though, is that your feet will go through a gnarly peel which is better to do in the winter when they’re covered – trust me! You don’t want to wear sandals when you’ve got alligator skin sloughing off! I hope this is as good as the Baby Foot mask!
Reply
La
Trust me you rather do it around this time of year or right before flip-flop/Sandal season. I did it over the summer and regretted it. Not because of the product (it’s awsome!) but because I had to wear shoes or sneakers the entire time the skin was peeling which takes days. Wearing sandals while you have skin peeling off your feet is definitely not attractive lol
Emily
Me too! I did it in the spring and it was simultaneously super satisfying and horrifying. My husband wouldn’t let me take my socks off when he was around once the peel began.
Sammy
This definitely seems like a summer box.

This got me to finally sign up today. I’d been thinking about signing up in October for a good while but when Sephora put out the 40’s box I grabbed a couple of those to stock up on Good Genes and thought I might not need this…but they got me with foot mask spoiler. I love that glam glow mask too and I’m excited to see the December collaboration.

I just barely got my September Box Today! I was really hoping to get the MAC lustering instead of Ruby-Woo, 😥 Oh, well, better late than never.

FYI Gilt City is having 56% off an Allure three month subscription plus a free gift.
Reply
Emily Rose
That seemed like a pretty good deal until it said in the details that ‘shipping was not included, and would cost another $10 when redeeming.’ So it ends up being $39 for $45 worth of boxes. Not a terrible deal but certainly not over 50% off.
And the free gift is an Eyeko eyeliner… which I’m certainly not interested in.
Even without the $10 shipping though, how are they getting $67 for 3 months of a $15 subscription…?
…
*Does some googling*
So it turns out that the $22 that they’re overestimating the price of, is the value of that ‘free item’ so… yeah. It all sounds very deceptive to me.
(And here I was super excited at the thought of getting 3 months of allure and a lil something extra for $20. Should’ve known it was too good to be true.)
Reply
Lena
You are correct! However, a tip: Gilt city is also doing a promo where you “get $10 in Credit when you check out with Google Pay on the Gilt app” through the end of October. The trick is, you don’t need to actually pay anything to get the $10 credit. Gilt city counts its glamglow and bumble and bumble promos as a “purchase” even though you are not paying anything out of pocket for them. Loophole or no, I tried this and it worked so I got the $10 credit applied to my allure 3 months sub. That covers the price of shipping that I’ll be paying later!
Kay
Yes they are! $29 for three months plus a free Eyeko eyeliner BUT fine print says a $9.99 shipping fee will be charged at redemption :-/
