Yogi Surprise September 2018 Review
This month is all about self-care.
There’s a card that outlines a yoga flow to help me connect with my heart center.
I also got a coupon for Yoga Club. (Learn more about the Yoga Club subscription here!)
And a coupon for Bulldog Yoga, an online yoga program.
And last but not least, a card advertising Yogi Surprise’s limited edition Self Love Box!
Yogi Surprise Pashmina
This giant scarf is so comfortable! It’s made of 70% Polyester and 30% Viscose, so it’s incredibly soft and has a lovely smooth yet fuzzy finish.
The fringed ends are great for fall. I can see myself using this piece as a wrap on brisk nights or a voluminous scarf tucked into my puffy coat!
Mystic Antidotes Calming Pillow Spray, 4 fl. oz. – Retail Value $9.00
Recently, I’ve been trying to get into more of a routine at bedtime. Rather than laying down, staring at my phone, getting back up later to brush my teeth, getting back into bed, doing more phone time, etc., I’ve been trying to really consciously get into a wind-down groove. I’m excited for this natural pillow spray to become a part of that process! It has a lovely, gently sweet aroma of lavender and sage, which also makes a great room spray during the day, too!
Zatik Gratitude Face Serum, 1 fl. oz. – Retail Value $32.00
I love how light and refreshing this serum feels as it soaks into my skin. The formula includes seaweed and algae, which help deliver moisture and quell aging. It feels so good and nourishing without leaving any oiliness or residue behind.
Yogi Surprise Mala Bracelet Making Kit
I’ve gotten jewelry and accessories from this subscription box before, but this kit is a new fun twist on that concept! It’s just as meditative stringing the beads together as it is counting around the finished mala bracelet. They give you instructions to help you make sure the bracelet is even and symmetrical. It also tells you how to massage essential oils into the beads to give them a peaceful aroma!
This assortment of loose leaf teas was super tasty and flavorful. I can see the turmeric tea, with its golden color and spicy, warm vibes, being perfect for a cold fall evening. For the opposite reasons, I also loved the Himalayan Detox Tea, which was so easy to drink, refreshing, and crisp.
BONUS: Pacifica Aromapower Perfume Oil in Hardcore Happy, 0.33 fl. oz. – Retail Value $14.00
The next two items are bonus goodies. Yogi Surprise will sometimes add bonus items to the boxes of long-time customers as a little thank you gesture! This oil has a toasty, nutty sweetness to it. It’s got tuberose, vanilla, and coconut in the mix, which gives the oil a sensual, yet playful vibe. I especially liked how this perfume oil seemed to get a little earthier and sophisticated as I wore it. And the rainbow packaging? Amazing!
BONUS: rareEssence Spa Travel Candle in Peace, 4 oz. – Retail Value $12.00
Last but not least, I got this small candle in a tin. I like when candles are in tins, as they’re so easy to store. The fragrance of this Peace candle includes Frankincense, Myrrh, and Palo Santo. It’s grounding, yet refreshing, and has a vanilla-ish note to it—it almost smells like a very herby chocolate mint.
The Verdict: This was an awesome box with lots of unique and quality items. I can’t wait to wear my scarf, and I had fun assembling my very own bracelet. Sometimes exclusive items can seem underwhelming in comparison to the other products in a box, but I was really impressed by these exclusives! The bonus items were great, too. I think it’s really nice that they reward their long-time customers with little extras now and then. I appreciate how the items appealed to so many different senses, too. There were peaceful aromas, calming flavors, and soothing treats for the skin, too.
