Splendies Women’s Underwear Subscription September 2018 Review

Splendies 90s Palm Tree Print Undies, size L – Listed Retail Value $12.00

Whoa, these are SO COOL. I love this super 90s looking print! Never thought I’d see something this wild come from Splendies but I’m into it. These are made of the really soft thin fabric I prefer that’s comprised by 87% nylon and 13% spandex so it’s stretchy and smooth. The print is made of a pretty lapis blue with all sorts of zany colors, trimmed in a matching blue lace and topped with a blue bow. They were a little tight, but fit none-the-less thank goodness.

Miss Vickie’s Intimates Navy and Grey Thong, size L – Listed Retail Value $12.00

This thong is nice and simple and perhaps my favorite one that I’ve received from Splendies. It has a similar composition to the earlier pair being made up of 90% polyester and 10% spandex. They feel very similar in their silky smoothness, anyway. The body is a dark navy, almost purple color and is trimmed in dark grey lace, with a matching grey bow at the front. These fit really well and I’ll be keeping them in rotation when I need to break out a thong.

Splendies Tomato Red Undies, size L – Listed Retail Value $12.00

These are the bummer of the batch. They say size large but I could tell right away there was no way. These are made from a completely different fabric made up of 62% polyester, 33% cotton, and 5% spandex, so they don’t have as much stretch as the other pairs. I could not even get these on, so I’d say they are closer to a small or medium than a large. Sad, because I kind of like these bright red numbers. Ah well. I wish we lived in a world with standardized sizing.

The Verdict: Splendies sent me two pairs of undies I loved and one that did not even come close to fitting me. I’ll be passing them on to a girlfriend like many other pairs I get that I don’t like, so they will go to use. $13.99 is a decent price for three pairs that are all listed as $12.00, I just wished they were all guaranteed to fit.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Each Splendies shipment is based partially on what’s available for your size and style preferences, so it’s possible that you might get something slightly different than what I got. Order now and see what you end up with!

Value Breakdown: At $13.99 with free shipping for this subscription, you’re paying about $4.66 per pair of undies.

  1. This is my first month with splendies and I cannot find pictures of spoilers for all thongs! Anyone have a link?

  2. When does this usually bill and ship every month?

  3. I also received the red pair and they were so uncomfortable and tight! And such a shame as I was in love wit the color!

  4. I like the designs and think the price is very fair, and I’m sorry to hear about the quality control issues.

That being said, it does concern me how many of these are polyester. For many people who may not know, it’s better to wear cotton or breathable fabrics because it affects your health *ahem* down there, including smell. I feel like using cheaper synthetic fabrics is a way for many places to keep the price down when it’s not very good for us as ladies to use them for our undies.

  5. I have came so close to placing a subscription order several times, but never get past the CC info portion because I do fear the whole sizing issue.
One would think that they would notice the off sizing when packing or if they do any kind of quality control. I love the concept of this subscription( 36 underwear a year that are unique and that I don’t have t shop for) but I don’t like the thought of paying for something that I can’t wear. If 1 of the three doesn’t fit, it ruins the value of the subscription for me personally😕

    • Sucks the red pair didn’t fit! If you contact CS, they will gladly ship an extra panty in the next month’s batch. Also, I definitely advise(as does the site I believe) to size up. I was pissed the first couple of months that my undies seemed wonky, but sizing up was the solution and you can get up to an XL at the lower rate.
