Jammie Booties, Size 8 – Retail Value $59.95, Member Price $39.95
Lately, I’ve been exploring Shoedazzle’s clothing offerings, but I decided to use this month’s purchase to stock up on some new fall footwear. It’s bootie season, and Shoedazzle has come to greet it with lots of awesome bootie styles, from minimal, modern ones like these to snuggly styles and even sultry ones for date night and special occasions.
I was drawn to these boots for their classic, sleek shape, and pointed toes. I also like that the heel isn’t too high—I prefer a little heel, but I know from experience that once I get above the 3″ mark in Shoedazzle shoes, they can get kind of perilous for me. These faux suede booties could be a little more comfortable around the ball of my foot. As is the case with a lot of formal Shoedazzle shoes, there’s barely any cushioning between the sole of the shoe and where my foot is, so especially with a higher heel, I feel it a little more. I’ll probably slip some gel inserts in there just to soften the impact of each foot fall. The uppers of the bootie are great though—they have just enough stretch to them to be comfortable but not loosey goosey. The zippers on the inners of the boots are convenient, too.
The Verdict: I’m loving these booties! I do find that the suede finish scuffs off relatively easily, so these may not be shoes to wear all day everyday. But they are versatile enough that I would totally wear them to fancy parties or dinner/brunch plans with friends. They go with cute shift dresses, jeans and tees… the sky’s the limit! I do wish they were slightly more comfy right out of the box, but I think some gel insoles should do the trick!
