ShaggySwag designs, creates, and delivers high quality, one-of-a-kind dog treats, toys, and other essential items in a curated monthly box. Their mission is to provide cool dog owners across the U.S. with a monthly delivery filled with top-of-the-line essentials, nutritious treats, exclusive toys, and dog swag inspired by the hip pets and humans of NYC.
ShaggySwag box types are determined based on the size of your pup. My Airedale/Lab mix, Del, weighs in at 55 pounds, which landed him in the Beastmode Shaggy large breed classification. The other options are Tiny Shaggy (dogs up to 10 pounds), Small Shaggy (dogs from 10-25 pounds), and Just Shaggy (dogs from 25-50 pounds).
This is a review of the Beastmode Shaggy, $32 a month, box.

ShaggySwag September 2018 Review
ShaggySwag usually includes this little intro card with a fun theme, but this month, instead of a theme, they're taking the opportunity to tell us about new box options that are coming soon. Can't wait to see what ShaggyStyle has in store!
Ecomates Suede and Rope Dog Toy – Estimated Value $12.00
I couldn't find this dog toy—or anything from this brand—online, and I'm bummed because it's super nice quality and I would love for you all to be able to buy it! It also has a nice color scheme to it, which, silly as it may sound, is definitely something I look for in dog toys. Hey—if they're gonna be hangin' around my house, they might as well match the decor! The plush part doesn't squeak, but it's very durable, and the rope has lots of different parts to tug on.
Del is usually a half-hearted tugger, but he gave this one a few good pulls before running off with it.
Multipet Nuts for Knots Dog Toy –Estimated Value $10.00
Here's another super-durable toy. I can't find this one online, either, but there are many similar toys out there. It's Del's dream in that it has not one but two squeakers! They're nice and deep-sounding so they won't drive us humans crazy as he squeaks away. 🙂
Harvard's Finest Peanut Butter & Banana Soft Chew Dog Treats, 5 oz. – Estimated Value $6.00
Here is yet another mystery item in this month's box, that I can't find online. Again, it's too bad, because I would probably purchase these treats again if I could. They're a great size for Del—usually I break large treats into smaller pieces just so they go farther. These are small without being trainer sized. They're nice and soft, which is usually his preferred type of treat.
Here he could smell them in my hand and was so eager, but he was such a good boy and sat patiently.
Here he's "staying," anxious to go gobble those bad boys up. When he was "free," he grabbed one, took it off to the side to eat it, then came back for the other one.
...then he came over to my side to be like, "More?" which is actually pretty rare for him. He loved these! They are free of sugar, soy, corn, salt, and gluten, and made in the USA, for those interested.
Lindy's Bakery Cheddar Chompers Dog Treats, 6 oz. — Retail Value $6.95
These treats are more biscuit-like, which isn't normally Del's thing, but he liked these cheddar treats. Not run-off-and-eat-them-in-private liked them but didn't-leave-any-crumbs-behind liked them.
"Staying"—I'm making him earn these treats.
"Free!"
Mango Tango Grooming Wipes – Retail Value $7.49
These paw-cleaning wipes seem to be a ShaggySwag staple. We keep a towel by our back door to wipe down his paws if they're muddy, so I tossed a pack of these in my car for post dog park wipe downs. They have an awesome mango smell!
Earth Rated Poop Bags, 2 rolls (30 bags) — Estimated Value $1.75 (Buy 120 bags for $6.99)
I love these dog bags! They're nice and thick, and biodegradable. I was happy to receive the unscented kind this month.
Verdict: It was a good month for ShaggySwag! Del's favorite treat was the squeaky rope monster toy (mine was the tug toy because it looks nicer, haha) and his favorite treats were the PB-banana ones. But he didn't turn his nose up at anything included in this box! I always note that most if not all of ShaggySwag's offerings are eco-friendly and made in the USA, which I love. Additionally, they support Badass Brooklyn Animal Shelters. Two thumbs up.
This month's ShaggySwag box contents added up to $58.99, using some estimated values. That's a great deal for a $32.00 a month + free shipping box cost.
