Rose War Panty Power September 2018 Review

RWPP info sheet

Here’s September’s welcome card.

RWPP tampons

Seventh Generation Organic Cotton Tampons, Regular — Buy an 18-pack of regular size for $6.99

I can’t explain why but I really freaking like having my tampons delivered to me wrapped up with a cute bow. Each has cardboard applicators and braided string, and they were accompanied by an informational pamphlet for if you’re not sure what to do with them. I will say that I thought I had checked off choosing to receive a good mix of "all" rather than tampons only, but it’s not worth making a fuss. They’ll get used!

RWPP rose

Modern Skyn Alchemy Shimmering Rose Cleansing Nectar, 2 oz – Retail Value $18.75, Listed Value $25

First, I would like to point out that I think the value discrepancy was an innocent mistake on the part of RWPP. The 2 oz version (what I received) retails for $18.75, but the 4 oz version does retail for $25. The actual product is a very gentle cleanser with a rose scent- it smells like a bouquet of flowers. This can handle taking off makeup, but I wouldn’t use this alone on removing mascara. I have seen Modern Skyn Alchemy all over my Instagram recently, so RWPP gets points for sending a ~trendy~ brand. I love the glass packaging and old-fashioned labels, too.

RWPP polish

Lauren B Beauty Nail Polish in Palm Springs Getaway, Full-Size! - Retail Value $18

This gorgeous coral-peach polish has gold shimmer, and it is a color that really screams summer to me. This polish has a great consistency and can be a one-coater if you want it to be!

RWPP cuticle

Lauren B Beauty Reparative Oil Cuticle Treatment, Full-Size! - Retail Value $22

No matter how many cuticle oils, butters, and creams I receive in subscription boxes I am always happy to get more! This one is made with a custom blend of 14 (!!) plant and flower oils as well as amino acids for maximum hydration and nourishment. This smelled so good thanks to ingredients like lavender, rosemary, and ylang-ylang. The mess-free applicator means this would be perfect to store in my purse, but I am thinking of keeping it with the rest of my skincare products to add to my nightly routine.

RWPP coupon

A coupon for Lauren B Beauty was also included.

RWPP organza

Next up: undies! They were packaged in this drawstring organza bag.

RWPP mauve 1 RWPP mauve 2

Prima Valentina Lace Panties – Buy a 3 pack for $10 (found on sale here for $7.99)

First up is this gorgeous mauve pair of undies! I am loving the style- the top waistband area is silky, and the rest of the underwear is all lace! I think these are technically boyshorts, but they have a much more feminine cut in the back than a typical boyshort. I found the style to be both comfortable and sexy, and the waistband didn't dig in at all. I do worry about this pair holding up in a typical washer/dryer cycle. I noticed a few loose threads and considering these come in a pack of three for $10 I don't think they are going to be very durable if I don't wash them properly.

RWPP thong 1

RWPP thong 2

Youmita Lace Thong - Retail Value Unavailable

I don’t typically wear thongs, and the sizing on these was a bit off—when on it came up to my belly button in the front and my lower back in the back, and that’s not exactly my style. The Youmita tag had these listed as a size higher than what I actually wear, so that is probably the reason. I do love the green lace color, and the lace on these felt more sturdy compared to the other pair.

RWPP coffee

Couque D’Asse Cookies, 2 individually wrapped cookies – Buy a 144 g box for $8.99

I had a hard time figuring out what these were—I wasn't expecting them to be from Korea considering they are Vienna coffee flavored. These are very crunchy biscuit cookies with a bit of a chocolate flavor that tastes strongly of coffee. As a person whose taste buds never grew to appreciate coffee, I am passing these along to a friend who loves it. I will say my cookies arrived pretty crumbled, which is why there isn't a picture of them out of the package.

Verdict: I thought this was a great box from Rose War Panty Power! Getting three full-size beauty products was a real treat, and I am happy to have received two pairs of underwear this month! I do wish the quality of the underwear was a touch higher, but overall I am pleased with this month’s offerings. While I couldn’t find a value for everything in the box, the value of the three beauty products alone is $58.75, which is almost double the cost of the box plus shipping.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the October box. From Rose War Panty Power:

Your box will ship between the 26th - 3rd of every month. Please order by the 1st to get the current box.

Coupon –Use code RWPP50 to save 50% off your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $29.20 total with shipping, which means that each of the 7 items in the box has an average cost of $4.17. I think that is a steal for most of the products in this box, so I am a happy camper.

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for reviewing! It would be helpful to know how the tampons performed (it looks like you got half n half regular and supers) compared to say, Tampax. Or what the polish looks like on, or if the cuticle oil worked well for you.

Thanks!!

I would subscribe to this box if the pan ties were of higher quality. I would pay 5-10 dollars more if they made a luxe panty option. And they don’t need to be super expensive underwear, just one tier up from what they currently include.

Hey I am a subscriber to this box for more than a year.
Just had to say that they do send all kinds of brands.
Some months its like ross/cheap brand but, a lot of times its, DKNY, CK, Aeries, and other well known-expensive brands!
You should give it a try!
