The box comes with an info booklet with Rachel’s styling tips, and a letter from her introducing the box.

(And this booklet also includes coupon codes for some of the brands featured in the box.)

Now, on to the items!

Cleobella Sevigny Capelet in Bordeaux – Retail Value $228

This is an exclusive design for Box of Style members. Subscribers can pick between this color or a solid black version.

The fabric is 100% Acrylic, hand wash recommended.

Here it is on:

It features four pom tassels, and the knit is medium weight.

The sleeves are closed, so laying flat this capelet would look like a rectangle. Here is a better look at the sleeve:

This is one of those items that are perfect to pull on over any outfit when I’m cold (which is always.)

B-Low The Belt Camille Wrap Belt Exclusive – Retail Value $70

This belt is available in two size options for subscribers:

  • S/M: 47″ long
  • L/XL: 55″ long

It’s made from 100% vegan leather with metal yellow gold rings. Here it is on with the capelet:

I’m still trying to master this belt style, but the suggestions in the booklet were super helpful!

What do you prefer: open capelet or belted?

Ettika Chloe Tassel Necklace Exclusive – Retail Value $80

This is an 18K gold-plated necklace with crystal accents.

This necklace measures 15 inches long, or 19 inches at the longest setting.

Here it is on:

I love delicate gold jewelry, so this piece is perfection for me. I love the crystal sparkle, too.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum – Retail Value $79

I’m always very happy with Rachel’s skincare brand choices for the Box of Style, and this is another fabulous selection.

This serum is ingredient-conscious and designed to improve skin texture, dark spots, and dry skin. The milky formula smells lovely and absorbs almost immediately.

I’m thrilled that we get the full-size version in this box! I need to see results before I spend $$$ on skincare, and this should give me enough time to test it out.

(And with coupon code FALLAFF25 you can get this entire box for $74.99, so if you were planning on buying this serum, you can get it at a discount, and get everything else for free!)

Beauty Pie Über Volume Boost Mascara – Retail Value $24

Beauty Pie is one of those brands I’ve been wanting to try (members pay $10 a month to get makeup and skincare products at deep discounts compared to what those products would be at retail cost.)

This mascara has great lash separation and the black is nice and bold. The volume isn’t as intense as I like (tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is my go-to for volume), but this is fab for a more natural, everyday look.

And Beauty Pie included a coupon to get a free trial membership:

Verdict: This box has a retail value of $481. That’s fab for $99.99! Even better with their $25 coupon! I am SO over summer, so this cozy fall box was great for me, and I think the Caudalie full-size serum is such a win for one of the beauty items! (And if you aren’t going by retail values, this breaks down to $19.99 an item, or $14.99 an item with the FALLAFF25 coupon.)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box was still available!

Use coupon code FALLAFF25 to save $25 off your first box!

  1. So when is this box shipping?

  2. I agree that’s a box of style has gone downhill The cape looks cheap something you could find at Marshall’s or Ross it used to be a great buy now it’s just Something get at a bargain basement. Time to cancel I’m disappointed the boxes to be so great and I look forward to receiving it

  3. I cancelled this box and just noticed a charge on my credit card. No no no.

    • Did you get an email confirmation after you requested to cancel where they acknowledged your cancellation request?

    • This happened to me as well as so many others in May. Had to get my bank involved to get my money back since customer service was nonresponsive. There is a reason they have an “F” BBB rating.

  4. I canceled box of style, but actually love the cape, belt, and necklace. I will wait for this box to go on sale 🙂

  5. It’s sad what happened to this box. Used to be such high quality, personalized picks that clearly seemed to come from RZ herself. Now just seems like the usual bargain bin, Marshalls quality, cut rate stuff you get from the usual Popsugar/Nina Garcia Quarterly bargain bin monthly boxes that eventually go out of businesses. I mean the last thing we all need is another polyester ill fitting cape that went out of style years ago. Someone mentioned that she sold her box – is that true?

I used to be a yearly subscriber from the beginning but I cancelled my sub. I imagine this box will go out of business soon like the others that have gone this way.

    • Sadly, I have to agree. I miss the old days when the boxes were higher quality. I don’t even see myself using much of this. The serum is average, at best.

  6. I definitely would purchase IF the necklace were silver or rose gold. But it’s not so I guess I just saved some money…..

  7. Box of Style is one of those boxes I really wanted to love, but her clothing items and even this belt just wouldn’t work with my pear shape – you can tell that Rachel Zoe’s never really had to consider what makes fat women feel beautiful and stylish, because shapeless layers are not the way to do it! I unsubscribed about a year and a half ago, when the spring reveal was that coverup that would have been too small – and I’ve noticed clothing items in every box since. Which, makes sense for a “style” box – I just wish she were more inclusive and thoughtful.

    • This x 1000! Rachel Zoe designs & curates for pin-thin women like herself. She has not gotten a good look at the average American female body in decades. 😀

    • I received a similar cape and belt in previous boxes and wore them with no issues and I’m definitely pear shape. In fact, I got compliments.

  8. Well, this seems like a good value with the discount.

I HOPE very much the cape will fit my friend, who is about a size 14-16 but I really have NO idea…

When it’s FFF, we have tons of info but when it’s BOS, the measurements can be really slim for anyone over a 10-12.

Fingers crossed it will fit her and that she likes bordeaux.. 🙂

  9. Has anyone received tracking info yet? Do we have a time frame this box is supposed to ship?

  10. Liz, I had wanted to get the box on sale for a friend’s birthday. Do you think the cape will fit most curvy ladies ( about a size 16, I think?)

    • I think it would! I wear similar garments pretty regularly, from both plus size and straight size stores, and I wear a 22/24 in most brands. Also, the longer belt should fit your friend with a nice long tail. I know other people were grumpy the belt is basically the same as an option from last Fall’s fab fit fun, but that one only came in the shorter size, so Rachel Zoe wins this round!

      • THANK YOU so very much, Annie Liberman! 😉
I think my best friend will love getting this box for her birthday! She’s not into the true Plus sizes, but is just large boned and tall and takes a 14-16 because of her bone structure.

I may go back and get one for myself if you think the bust is ample. I have to buy separates in everything to get the chest to fit.
Lots of us have this issue, so I’m definitely not bragging.

I think Rachel should give Liz a box or boxes very early and let her give us all the spoilers. This continuel coupon thing is really a game. LOL.

  11. I love everything in this box! Looks luxe and chic. That necklace. 😍 and Caudalie!

  12. A pass for me the cape and belt look Gorgeous on Liz you are tiny me not so much. eventhough I went from 220# to 140# I feel I am still too big for the cape and belt.
I will save for New Beauty Fall

    • Congrats on the weight loss! I am sure they both would fit you. But I agree that the belt is one of those things that only looks right on tiny people.

  13. Love it! Well modeled, Liz!

  14. That cape reminds me of Mrs. Roper. I am not saying it doesn’t look good on Liz, but, IMO, it isn’t not fashionable for anyone under 70.

Rachel needs to venture out of the house, she seems to be out of touch.

    • Lol

  15. I love their cape and necklace.

  16. The only thing I really kinda like is the cape item. Too bad they didn’t have an option for a silver necklace and a belt with silver instead of just gold. As pretty as gold is, it looks so dreadful on me.

I would also love it if Box of Style added a cancel button for subscribers; it’s honestly the hardest box to cancel that I’ve ever had (which makes me hesitant to subscribe again). 🙁

    • That was my major problem with BOS…too many earrings (I don’t have pierced ears) and too much gold (I can’t wear it with my skintone either). It’s great that these things may be what’s “in style” but if it doesn’t work for me and I don’t get options for other items, I’m not going to spend my money on it…even at a discount. I guess I just won’t be in style…LOL.

  17. How many months is the Beauty Pie membership for?

  18. Jessica H. doesn’t seem to be on vacation. I’ve never seen her model any of the MSA reviewed clothing. Everyone needs to pitch in and be seen. 😉

    • Ah, I should have specified, referring to local Pittsburgh reviewers since we only have the one box!

  19. Very nice. The capelet looks great belted!

  20. Any chance we can see the capelet on someone shorter? lol I’m always lost seeing them on you Liz, youre so tall and slender and I alas, am not. 😀

    • We’re going to do another post similar to this one with multiple MSA ladies wearing the capelet 🙂 A few peeps are on vacation right now, but hopefully it will be up by end of next week!
