I bought this bc it seems like a great array of products. I already opened one and will keep opening one per day. The biggest issue is getting the products out of the packaging. I used a knife and it still was starting to open other parts of the days. I wish they made it easier but I get it, if they poorly packaged people would complain of the products going all over, if they did it this way that would work so everyone’s items are secure. I’m already in love, and it’s just day one. I’m buying multiple calendars so I gave myself an excuse to open it lol. It’s very heavy and such a treat and big so it’s definitely worth it 😍

I had the same problem! Only opened day 1 so far but we had to get a butter knife to get it out!

Maybe if it was like 50% off, but no, not at $65.

It’s on sale for 20% off right now, down to $49.98 (from $64.99) on their beauty IQ steals page. I doubt they’ll go down much more again, if at all, before the holidays are over (or before it’s too late to have it shipped and it arrive before Christmas). The MSA website always causes me to empty out my wallet (Christmas money anyway) around this time of year so I’ve been having to reign my spending in some recently in order to avoid going broke before Black Friday and cyber Monday sales even START! But now this has a big enough discount, it’s worth it in my opinion. Ordered it for my aunt who I never know what to buy for…. I wanted to get her something worth way more than the $50 I’ve budgeted for her gift. Now that it’s on sale too and is option, it seemed like the logical choice!

It probably is a good deal, objectively speaking. It’s just that today alone I received the Ulta Platinum gift with purchase and and their Elizabeth Arden one – that alone would set any normal person for like a year (and that’s not counting my actual purchase). 😉

Of course I am not a normal person, I am a beauty addict, so I have so many multiples of everything that it’s not even funny. I just can’t justify buying this, especially when I know that some of the items I won’t use. I tried the L’Occitane almond shower oil before, for instance, it smells like wet dog. And I am scared to try anything Wen.

The rest of the items in this calendar I either already have or am “meh” on.

Now, the Macy’s beauty advent calendar – that one I think I’ll buy when /if it goes on sale. 😊

I would like to think if Wen was as bad as it is said to be, why would QVC still sell the product? QVC seems like a trustworthy company that would not sell bad or suspicious products just to make a buck. I’m not saying Wen is for everyone, I tried it & it was fine for me. Hair loss could be associated with many things.

Do they ship right away or do I have to wait? Anyone know?

They ship right away. I received mine (a gift for my daughter) 2 days ago & I’m already having a hard time stopping myself from giving it to her!

I got the QVC advent calendar last year as a gift. I liked it. They put out coupon codes as it got closer to Christmas so you could get it for less than full price. I think it did sell out toward the end but I could be remembering wrong. It looks like there are just a few repeats from last year. My favorite from last year was a little jar of Clark’s Botanicals Age-Defying Radiance Cream. It looks like this year they have Clark’s Marine cream, which I’ve never tried. I still have some of the samples so I think I’ll pass this year. But it is a nice gift to give or receive.

It’s Elemis Marine Cream. I have the full size. It’s nice! Very silky and rich. A little goes a long way. The scent is faintly aquatic, if that makes sense, and my husband likes it too.

Oops. My mistake. Good to know though.

I just ordered this! Was so excited to see it! They have it on 6 easy pays right now AND free shipping. I believe I’ll just toss the WEN samples-not a big deal. I do not receive any sub boxes other than FFF and sometimes I order a TILI from QVC but haven’t in awhile! Anyway-thanks Liz! I look forward to receiving this box and ummmm. I am quite sure I will not be able to wait to open it as I should!! Oh well-maybe next year! Lol

Again, I wanna say no. I think its the best one offered so far this year, and a couple of pricey samples in there, but I just don’t see myself adding to my crazy amount of small samples I have. They are fun if you do open one a day like your supposed to so I guess that makes it more worth it, but I would rather buy another Beauty Report box or another sub with full sizes. It does makes a great gift!

Not sure if I will get one yet. But did just send one to my sister. She loves when I sent her these random beauty boxes. So if nothing else, think it’s a good gift for someone who doesn’t purchase beauty boxes themselves. A nice surprise.

Out of all the advant calendars I’ve seen, I’m most drawn to this one for some reason.

This doesn’t seem all that exciting. A bit of a mish-mash – like they’re getting rid of old stock. Most of these products I’ve seen in their TILI boxes. Wish it was a theme or a best of the year or something. Or even something holiday themed!

I’m doubting it will sell out. Maybe if they priced it at the under $50 price point. All the advent calendars being released seem tho be overpriced…

Emilia

Agree.

Michelle

Hmm $2.66 per item if I counted correctly. This is actually one of the more reasonably priced calendars yet.

Michelle

It’s a good value. The Elemis cream is a $40 deluxe sample by itself and strivectin is pricey too. I just have way too much stuff right now!

This looks good to me, even with the repeats I’ve received before. I can gift those in stockings to others if I have too many of them. I would use almost everything except the self tanners.

I have some fears about WEN items because of the mixed reactions I’ve read here on MSA. I have never tried them before so I don’t have a personal history with the products.

FWIW- I never had a problem with Wen other than the price. It was really nice and my hair felt great, but it’s too expensive (IMO). I feel terrible for the people that lost their hair, I just can’t imagine how awful that would be, but I had a good experience with it.

I’ve gotten a bottle of Wen and used it as regular conditioner. It’s actually very nice! Of course, I wouldn’t let anything loaded with silicone touch my scalp, and I don’t think it’s worth the high price tag, but I was glad I got to try it.

I’ve seen that a couple readers actually have lawsuits. I’d run screaming from Wen products. No thank you. I’m not a vain person I just don’t want to be bald.

I personally used wen products for ocer 6 months and started losing my hair like crazy.. and I have never had any hair loss issues. Ever. After I read the articles and lww suits online I immediately stopped using the wen products and slowly but surely my hair returned to normal and eventualy stopped falling out as well. It was such a scary experience
.

Jen

I do not believe the attorneys can scientifically link any hair loss to the Wen products. Its a bandwagon it seems. I use it and love it. Simply having hair loss while using Wen does not link the two.

Dea

I thought it was all internet hysteria by unintelligent people looking for attention or cash, but then I received a Wen sample and tried it. Unreal how much hair came off my scalp! This baffled scientist is now a believer. I can’t explain the cause, but I know how much hair I saw part from my scalp that day. Yikes.

Jeannette

Pretty pricey for small size products. Most are sample size.

That’s a pretty good box
