Mama & Baby September 2018 Review

At the top of our box was this little note that provided a little bit of encouragement for mamas and a thank you for supporting this small business.

Sunkissed Botanics Gentle Baby Wash + Shampoo, 4 oz – Retail Value $8.00

The first item is for baby and this is a product I have not yet come across even though I am well-versed in all things baby. I love that this is a natural, organic, plant-based product and the use of calendula and essential oils give it a wonderfully fresh scent. This is a great size too as it’s bigger than a travel size at 4 oz. I look forward to using this on my little guy and smelling this on his tiny head afterward. The best part of baby baths are the snuggles after!

Victoria’s Secret PINK Low Show Sock 2 pairs – Retail Value $11.95 (on sale for $8.95)

My dryer eats socks like everyone else’s, so I’ll happily take a new pair or two! These are cute, basic low show socks that I will definitely be using. Maybe it will even provide that motivation to throw on my sneakers and get outside more! The linked pairs are not the exact same, but I think the value is probably comparable!

PINK Popsicle Bath Bomb in Pink Watermelon – Retail Value $6.95 (found on sale for $1.99 – currently out of stock)

This bath bomb is huge and smells so good! It has that musky floral Victoria’s Secret scent, but with the watermelon thrown in, it just really makes it smell fresh! Plus, this popsicle design is so cute. A great end of summer treat!

Mini Twisty Lollipop – Buy 25 for $5.99

I love that they always include a sweet treat in the box. I’m saving this blueberry-flavored lollipop for when I need a candy fix! Unless the kids find it first…

Yankee Candle Pumpkin Buttercream Votive Candle – Retail Value $2.00

Since the world has turned to pumpkin everything, I think it’s only fitting that we get our first taste of fall from this votive candle. It’s the perfect transition item and it smells delicious! I also love that it was packaged in its own bag so that the scent didn’t overpower everything else in the box.

Parent Hacks: 134 Genius Shortcuts for Life with Kids by Asha Dornfest – Retail Value $12.95 (found here for $5.99)

What a great, fun book to receive! This is a great coffee table (or bathroom) book full of short chapters and tips that you can read at your leisure.

The book is divided into chapters with topics such as Sleep and Health & Safety with lots of great tips in each. I opened up to quite a few that were relevant such as this popsicle clip hack which will save my sanity for when the kids keep asking me to push up their yogurt pops for them! I don’t understand why they can’t get the concept as many times as I explain it to them and show them, but now I can use this handy clip method! This is a great, casual read for any parent!

Verdict: This was a really great Mama & Baby box. There was such a nice mix of pampering items and practical mom gifts like socks and that book! I love that there is something for mama and something for baby, which is always fun. This box always feels well-curated to me and I feel like a lot of thought goes into it, especially with little things like taping up the baby wash lid and keeping the candle in a separate bag. I look forward to receiving this box each month and it always feels like a fair value with items I will actually use. This box costs $20, including free shipping, and we received a total value of $42.09, which is more than twice the cost of the box!

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive next month’s box. From Mama & Baby:
