Kira Kira Crate August 2018 Review

This box always comes with a booklet that describes all the items and how to use them, which is great because the majority of the packaging is written in Japanese! They also feature customer photos that use the hashtag #kirakiracrate to share on social media and include a great how-to on using the items in the box. The theme this month is “Sunset Spa,” which sounds lovely, doesn’t it? Let’s see what the items have in store for us!

Hatomugi UV Milky Gel

Hatomugi UV Milky Gel

Intensely moisturizing, this is actually a facial moisturizer with SPF! I usually don’t wear less on my face than a 30 SPF for every day, more if I’m going to the beach, but this stuff is SPF 31, which I thought was an interesting measurement. It’s not sticky or greasy in the slightest, and this stuff absorbs so fast. It sank right into my skin, and it has a fantastic powdery, floral scent!

Foot Care Soap

I’ve never had soap specifically designed for my feet before! I can see why, though - it contains little exfoliating granules that are just perfect for dead skin. It boasts strawberry, peach, and apricot as its ingredients, creating a pleasingly sweet, fruity fragrance that I really enjoy.

Foot Mask (Seaweed)

Now that my feet are nice and clean, I guess it’s time for a foot mask, which I’ve never had before, either. This is the perfect thing for the end of a really long day when you want just a tiny bit of self-care before bed. These had a grassy smell and the shape was a perfect little bootie to fit the entire foot. I think my feet were more moisturized after using, but most importantly, propped in bed with a movie and these bad boys was extremely relaxing!

Heel Covers

As if my feet weren’t pampered enough, these heel covers are the big guns when it comes to foot moisturization! I really like these; the pink color is soothing and they’re easy to put into the drawer of my nightstand when I’m not using them. I used my own lotion before sleeping in these and my heels were so smooth when I woke up.

Body Sheet

Look at the shape of this - it’s like a perfect little cape of pampering! I’ve liked using face masks sometimes when I have a sunburn, and that’s what this is designed for, to be used after a day in the sun. It has still been really hot lately, so I used this after a long day of trying to murder the weeds in my front yard and it felt so good, with lots of extra essence to rub into my shoulders after time was up.

Verdict: These products were awesome! I really liked that they mostly focused on my feet, giving me several products that do several different things for a complete home-spa experience. I was also really happy to receive an SPF product in this box; I felt that really added value to the box and is something that I’ll use every day.

Very interesting things, esp the foot care products! Hard to find them online, too; there are a few Hatomugi products, but not the UV milky gel.
Thank you for this review!

Sorry but this box seems really cheap and boring. Especially for $30. No thanks
