We have the full spoilers for the October 2018 Boxwalla Beauty box! The last day to subscribe is 9/25.
The theme for October's Beauty Box is 'The Intrepid Pattern of Plants'.
This October we continue our skincare story withAfrican Botanics, founded by the husband & wife duo of Julia & Craig Noik in 2012. We envisioned the August and October Boxes as two parts of a connected skincare story. The creation of African Botanics was inspired by Julia & Craig’s experience with indigenous South African ingredients that have been used for centuries in South Africa, to protect the skin against harsh weather conditions. They choose extraordinarily high quality ingredients, sustainably sourced from places where they grow wild in unpolluted environments, untouched by any farming method or human interference. These wild harvested ingredients are then married to cutting edge technology to achieve a skincare experience that feels both luxuriously wholesome & revolutionary.
We showcased African Botanics Fleurs D'Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil in the August beauty Box.
And in October Beauty Box we showcase, not only a fantastic product but a fantastic way to layer and use the Fleur D' Afrique Oil serum.
The Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum is a hydrating gel serum that lifts, firms, brightens, plumps and hydrates the skin. This serum features the African Resurrection Plant that grows in the arid mountains of Sub-Saharan Africa. This plant has developed an amazing survival strategy called reviviscence. In the dry season during the process of dessication & apparent death, the plant's cells produce a sugary substance known as 'Trehalose' which allows them to rehydrate & restart these activities as soon as the first rains fall. In addition to this potent plant ingredient, this serum also contains African Aloe Ferox, Plant Peptides, Gotu Kola, Resveratrol, Liposomal Retinol, Swiss Garden Cress Liposomes, Hyaluronic Acid and more! Beautifully effective alone and almost MAGIC when layered with The Fleurs D'Afrique Intesive Recovery Serum, this serum marries powerful botanical extracts with the latest green technology to create the loveliest light & versatile night serum.

This serum is literally my most favorite sub box item ever! I have 8 beauty sub boxes, so that is saying a lot. I had been using Sunday Riley Good Genes with Luna Sleeping Oil at night and tried this for a couple of nights and could not believe how much better this plumped my skin and smoothed out my wrinkles. My skin is so soft in the morning! Amazing! I like the combo of the African Botanics Oil over the Serum, but feel that the Oil doesn’t make as much of a difference as the Serum. I used the oil in the daytime to replace my Murad Multivitamin Oil and while it was indeed better, I don’t know if it was $150 more better (and the Murad Oil wasn’t cheap!) the Serum is definitely worth the money.

So the whole box is a single item? Obv a very expensive single item but I just want to make sure I know what I’m ordering…. is this usually how this sub goes?

I did get their last box and that AB oil smells incredible! It has been so hot that I’ve stayed away from oils but the two times I used it I found that it melted into my skin. Wondering if I should go ahead and order this. Does this sub automatically renew?

As long as you haven’t cancelled your subscription since the last box, then you will automatically be charged for the next box. 🙂

OMG! I’ve been so absent on the site lately. Ahhhh, I haven’t used the oil much in August so I’m going to conserve and make sure I have some to pair with this heavenly serum. Super excited and can’t wait!

I’m a little confused. I don’t get this sub, yet. Lol. It says $49. That’s every 2 months, right? It says I can purchase past boxes too, but the box I chose was $95. So, is it always $50, or does the price dpepend on what is featured in the box that time? I don’t mind the price, because it looks very worth it, but I don’t want a price that varies.

Hi Casey! The price of the Beauty subscription will not vary every two months – it will be $49.95. But the price of one-time boxes (when available) could vary. Hope that helps!

Ooooh! Fancy!!!
I’m drawing a blank… which box recently featured the African Botanics oil that was like $250? I think it was Boxwalla, but I’m not so sure. Maybe these could be paired together!

This serum is designed to be used together with last month’s retinol oil. This serum first and the oil over the top. So nice.

That’s so cool they planned it that way! 🙂

Luna! You get far too many subs (wink). I only say this out of pure respect for your sub game of course! LOL!
This same brand was in our August Boxwalla, just a different product. The Fleurs Oil Serum and YES it was $260!!!

Haha!!! I always like to say that I get “so” many subs instead of “too” many subs because this girl can never have too many subs! 😉 I’m not active on an addiction site for nothing! 😀

I have loved everything I ever purchased from AB, which is the Marula/Neroli oil, the body cream, hand cream, clay face wash, recovery lotion, and the oil from last month’s Boxwalla. I can’t wait to try this serum!
