Boxwalla Beauty September 2018 - African Botanics Front

African Botanics Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum - Retail Value $160

Boxwalla Beauty September 2018 - African Botanics Back

This serum is designed to speed cell turnover and boost collagen, brighten skin, and help minimize and tighten pores. I love the natural scent. There's no added fragrance, but the ingredients of chamomile, rosemary, and cucumber give it a lovely, light earthy scent. The gel formula is cooling and gentle, absorbs almost instantly, and is designed to be applied at night.

So far I've been using this for a few nights and my skin is drinking it up! I love that we get the full-size serum, too - I'm hoping to see some results by the time I reach the end of the bottle!

Verdict: The October Boxwalla Green Beauty subscription box has a value of about $160. I think that's great for a $50 natural beauty box that focuses on sending you some of the best products from high-end natural beauty brands. And since this is on the pricier side for beauty subscriptions, I appreciate that it's an every-other-month subscription - it makes it even more special!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! You have until 10/10 to sign up and get this box! (Unless it sells out before then.)

I received my box today and I love this serum, but I’m a little disappointed that my bottle is broke. My bottle doen’t have a pump on it. If there is a pump, it’s up inside the lid and I can’t get it out. It’s such a hassle to get the serum out now. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Excited that both October boxes (I bought 2) are at the post office for delivery tomorrow.

I love the oil, I like the smell , and I find it fades pretty quickly anyway.

Looking forward to the October box! I bought 2 in August with the Fleurs D’Afrique Recovery Oil. I wish I bought more!! I love the oil and really 😍 the smell! This is my favorite oil. Wish I could afford to buy more.

Have lots to trade in case anyone doesn’t want their oil from the August box . 🙂

Guess I’m in the minority here, but I really like the African Botanical oil from last Boxwalla Beauty Box. I’ve got the other steps, such as the AMLY Silver Mist, so I’ll try out the step-by-step process that they suggested in an email that I received. I liked it just fine for the Boxwalla price, but definitely not enough at the RV price, to be clear. I definitely won’t be able to buy another bottle of it. The salve mentioned sounds very interesting and promising, since it has arnica in it.

If anyone wants to get rid of their oil…

I just caved and bought the therapy gel. My shoulder is very happy. I will use the aromatherapy stress cream. as back up..it’s certainly not as intense but it has its merits. I literally have a sub wish list of 24 boxes.. I know… this gel was a must buy… I mean.. still from this morning. Since the tear is small and surgery not recommended, this comes to pennies really. I think I had this one tube for about 7 months… I am hoping these oils are like that. I can’t wait to begin on these… New to Boxwalla but mad love… and the cute little boxwalla box this month..

African botanics makes the best therapy gel (mentholated like tiger balm but with arnica as well) I’ve ever used, but their retail prices are ridiculous! I was also very unimpressed with the face wash I purchased as an fff add on last winter. My mom and I both found it bad, and shes super dry and I’m oily so… no idea who could use it. Plus the first one I got was rancid.

So they make some great products, but their retail prices are just ridiculous. I’m sure this is a nice enough serum, but it should probably cost $50 or less retail in the first place.

The face wash is my holy grail. So if you tried it and hate, find me at the swaps

I’m excited to try this serum.
I LOVE the oil so much I bought a backup. I did not pay $250.00. I paid $60.00. If any of you folks want to sell me your oil for that price. Hit me up! I would also buy/swap for tested oil too
email me!

I LOVE that Boxwalla has been sending MSA the box to “preview” the upcoming month!

I purchased 2 of the August boxes with African Botanicals and it’s totally worth it! It’s super hydratrating and I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in skin tone and hydration. The combination of the two will be perfect for the harsh transition from air conditioning to forced air heat. My skin typically suffers more in these months so I take extra precautions.

So honest opinion… would you be tempted to pay RV for this when it runs out? I saw African botanicals on the fff sale and just couldn’t justify buying them at such a steal with zero reviews. The whole too good to be true thing… I may kick myself depending on the answer but I have to know!!

I realize that I’m probably in the minority here, but I thought the face oil, of which I bought two and now regret it, was just ok. The smell is nice but the oil itself isn’t anything special. I’ll leave this serum to the bloggers receiving free products to review and those who have money to burn. In the meantime I’ve got 2 bottles of overpriced oil to get through.

So mixed reviews… I will wait to see. I am finishing up the 90210 03 Midnight in Corsica oil and it was an FFF purchase. It’s okay. I can feel it when it goes on but it doesn’t compare to LilFox Prickley Pear or even Mario Badescu Vitamin C serums… these are pretty much …immediate results… I am still hopeful for African Botantics.. I didn’t see great reviews on MB Vitamin C serum but wow for my skin, so who knows. I will fall over where I stand if they have one more AB product in this box!!! December will be body or hair I bet.

Daria,
Hello! Hope you are well! If the
Fleurs D’Afrique Intense Recovery Oil Is the product you have two bottles of, and you really don’t like it, I would be interested in purchasing these from you if unopened. Cost plus shipping via PayPal if you’re good with that. Let me know and I’ll send my email address. Thanks!

SusanY

I didn’t buy this serum because I bought the oil through Boxwalla last time. I even bought two bottles because I was afraid I might fall in love with it and not be able to pay RV for it. The oil has the strongest smell ever. I’m glad I’m single. Otherwise, I would be shortly after using the oil around an SO. I gave one bottle to my mother. She loves the smell in the bottle, but even she commented on how overpowering it is when she puts it on. It reminds me of the Jungle Gardenia perfume she used to wear in the 70’s. I refuse to let it go to waste, but it is not something I would pay for again. That smell is the exact reason I didn’t want the serum. “Earthy” is not a smell I want on my face. I did the research, or tried to, but could only find “reviews” from bloggers who had been “graciously gifted a box for review purposes.” A couple of people on Amazon commented that they didn’t like the smell. I couldn’t find anyone – besides bloggers – who said the product was life-changing or presented real-life results or documented their repurchases at RV.
That said, I think it’s nice to be able to try these luxe products from Boxwalla at a discount. $50 for serum is a steal.

Wow. Thank you! Good to know. I literally could not find a single review or comment buy anyone that didn’t receive it free when I was searching and when your cart is close to $300.

I completely agree with you. The smell of the oil is not pleasant and it doesn’t go away. I couldn’t stand it on my face and it’s too oily for me so I tried to use it as a body oil. Even on my legs, under clothing, the smell is overpowering. But…African botanics Firming body oil is amazing!! The smell is light and it absorbs quickly. It’s pretty pricey at $100 but I will definitely keep purchasing. So, I’m hopeful this serum smells more like the body oil than the face oil.
