Your Bijoux Box August 2018 "Stand Tall, Stay Sweet" Review
This month’s theme is “Stand tall, stay sweet” and has a tropical vibe with bright colors, fruit accents, and tassels! Two necklaces, a bracelet, and a bonus wristlet are included.
Let's start with the necklace and bracelet set.
Akumal Tassel Necklace
Akumal is a beach town in Mexico and this necklace reflects the tropical beach vibes that you’d find there. The mini tassels and felt pom-poms in shades of teal and blue are strung alongside gold filigree disks.
I like the multi-strand look and that it can be doubled up to create a short layered necklace.
The details are nice, even down to the extender chain bead.
Akumal Cuff Bracelet
This coordinating bracelet reflects the gold filigree from the necklace and reminds me of lace. No bright colors here, but that means it is super versatile and could work with other gold jewelry. It can be easily adjusted to fit different sized wrists and actually bends almost too easily if you catch it on something. So, it looks delicate because it is.

Stay Sweet Pineapple Necklace
Sticking with the dainty gold theme, this necklace has the charm of a tiny little pineapple. The spoilers made me think this was a lot bigger, but it’s only about the size of one of my nails. The little rhinestones – that look like the spiny skin of the fruit – give it a little sparkle. The pineapple is a popular sign of hospitality and can be found all over Charleston, SC. We just moved away from there, so I love having a little reminder of home.
Bonus: Stand Tall Pineapple Wristlet
The bonus this month is a cute vinyl (cotton-lined) pouch with a wrist strap that would be perfect for storing on-the-go cosmetics or as a wristlet paired with a sundress. The tropical theme is here too with brightly colored pineapples.
The Verdict: Your Bijoux Box did a lovely job of curating the “Stand tall, stay sweet” theme this month with pineapples and tropical colors. I like the versatility of the Akumal set and tiny reminder of Charleston on the pineapple necklace. The quality of all of the items is nice, especially if you consider that you are basically paying just $13 per piece (not including the bonus pouch). The packaging is gift-ready too!
