Rose War Panty Power July 2018 Review

Here’s July's welcome card. Rose War Panty Power makes sure to check off items that are included in the box, but sometimes there is a missed check or two.

Organyc Cotton Tampons, 6 count – Buy a pack of 16 regular absorbency tampons for $4.79

First off, we have the important goods. I chose to receive a mix of tampons and pads, and I was delighted to see my bundle of tampons came wrapped up in a pretty ribbon. These have a braided string, a cardboard applicator, and an informational pamphlet if you’re not sure what to do with it.

Organic Pads

I cannot read any language other than English, so I am not sure which brand these pads and liners are. I received a variety of pads with different absorbencies, so I am covered from heavy nights to light days. These will get the job done, and that is about all I can ask for.

Aerie Boybrief with Lace,

Aerie Boybrief with Lace - Estimated Value $12.50 (linked to a similar item)

I chose to decline the options to receive thongs, so I was happy to open up the little bag and see this boybrief! This is a little more full coverage than my usual undie style, but I really like the lace details (lace is one of my favorite fabrics)! I am between sizes in undies so I chose to size up, and these definitely had room to spare—but I would rather have undies that are loose than undies with an uncomfortable and tight waistband!

Mystic Ginger Apothecary Cramp Relief Tea, 1 oz. - Retail Value $12

I didn't have cramps when I gave this tea a shot, but I did have a migraine and a hot cup of this helped to ease some of the tension I was experiencing. The orange peel and rosehips made this a really comforting blend while the marshmallow root and cramp bark, in theory, have some medicinal properties (I have never heard of cramp bark, but I am rolling with it). A freshly steeped cup of tea is exactly what I reach for when I have cramps, so this tea is a perfect inclusion to the box.

RA Goods Clary Sage Essential Oil, 5 ml - Retail Value $12.95 (found here for $6.48)

I am a believer in aromatherapy and the benefits essential oils have to offer, but after finding out that most essential oils are not safe for cats I stopped using them in a diffuser. From what I can tell online, clary sage poses less of a risk, but I still won’t be diffusing it. Luckily, clary sage mixed with a carrier oil and rubbed on the lower back or abdomen can help with cramps.

Rustic MAKA Relief Skin Rescue Salve, 1.5 oz - Retail Value $13

I was recently sick which resulted in me being lucky enough to have TWO cold sores (one on each corner of my mouth), and it has been miserable. I decided to give this salve a try by getting some on a (clean! Noncontaminated!) finger and rubbing it into my dry and cracked lips. This provided instant relief, so I have been alternating between this and my cold sore medicine and life has become a lot more bearable. This would also be great on cuticles or anywhere that gets dry skin, as this is packed with hydrating and soothing ingredients like lavender, chamomile, sunflower oil, and apricot oil! The box doesn’t say this, but I think this salve would be a great carrier for the clary sage oil for maximum benefits in both hydrating and cramps!

Esfolio Hand and Nail Vital Mask,

Esfolio Hand and Nail Vital Mask - Retail Value $3

You would think that given my love of nail polish I would take better care of my cuticles, but more often than not my cuticles are used and abused and not appreciated. I love hand masks like these because it gives my cuticles some much-needed love while hydrating my hands and making them baby smooth. I appreciated that the plastic gloves were thick because usually, it is too easy for my nails to poke through the gloves within a minute or two of wearing. That wasn't an issue here, and I would happily use this mask again.

4th of July Headband - Listed Value $12

I actually think this headband is really cute, but I am a bit salty that it came at the end of the month after the fourth of July. Oh well—I can still rock this for Veteran’s day in November!

Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Raspberry Squares, 2 squares - Buy a 6.38 oz bag for $4.49 (found here for $4)

I’ll never be mad at receiving chocolate in a box, and dark chocolate is my chocolate of choice. Plus, there’s a raspberry filling in this and raspberry is a fruit, so this chocolate is basically healthy!

Verdict: I enjoyed my first month from Rose War Panty Power! I think this box did a good job of creating a thoughtful box to help pamper yourself around that worst time of the month! Honestly, the only complaint I have is that I didn't get that cute headband in time to wear it for the fourth of July. I am bummed the subscription model now only includes one pair of undies instead of two, but I am definitely satisfied with this box. I couldn't find a value for everything, but excluding the chocolate and hygiene products, the value totals $65.45, which is more than double the cost of the box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the August box. From Rose War Panty Power:

Your box will ship between the 26th - 3rd of every month. Please order by the 1st to get the current box.

Coupon –Use code RWPP50 to save 50% off your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $29.20 total with shipping, which means that each of the 9 items in the box has an average cost of $3.24. I think that is a steal for most of the products in this box, so I am a happy camper.
