LiveGlam MorpheMe July 2018 Review

The theme this month is “Resting Beach Face” and has four brushes to make your makeup routine “smooth sailing”.

You can go to your account dashboard to rate the brushes you receive and collect reward points. You can also trade in one or all of your brushes (find out more here).

There’s also a 10% coupon code for MorpheMe subscribers.

The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you.

It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.

This month the brushes all have classic round, matte black handles with silver accents.

M492 Duo Foundation Brush

M492 Duo Foundation Brush – Retail Value $8

I don’t usually use a brush to apply my liquid foundation, but I’m pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to spread product out with this duo-fiber (sable and synthetic) flat brush. I needed to dab over my face with a sponge to get the smooth finish that I like, but it’s nice not losing so much product from the beginning like you do with a sponge.

M536 Under Eye Bullet Brush

M536 Under Eye Bullet Brush - Retail Value $8

Oh! I was just thinking how all of my current brushes were either too small or too big to really set my under eye area. This tapered round brush is super soft and densely packed while still being fluffy. It picks up the right amount of powder and blends and sets my concealer perfectly.

M579 Pro Flat Contour Brush - Retail Value $12

At first, I thought these goat bristles looked rough, but they are actually velvety-soft. I’m not huge into contouring mostly because I always worry about having streaks. This helps to precisely place creams and powder and also works well for blending them out. I’ll need some practice before mastering it though.

M166 Oval Shadow Brush - Retail Value $4

This densely-packed flat brush is best used for packing shadow onto the lid. I think it works best when dampened because it doesn’t seem to pick much up when dry. I’m always reaching for clean eyeshadow brushes when I do my makeup (I’m bad about not cleaning them) so it never hurts to have more around.

Here's my finished look!

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent four brushes this month for $19.99 that have a total retail value of $32.00. Since this is my first month, I’m really happy to have all of these brushes to add to my collection. My favorite is the under eye bullet because I was in need of something just that size.
