Laserbrain Patch Co August 2018 Review
Each month you’ll see a small coloring page/postcard in your bubble mailer that fits the theme on the back of the info card. For the Stranger Things theme, they’ve included one with Dustin’s one-time pet, D’Artagnan (aka Dart).
On the reverse side, you’ll get to read all about what’s included and how it pertains to the theme.
Steve’s Bat/Demogorgon Mouth Patch
This patch is quite large at seven inches long and was designed in a traditional tattoo style by artist Brian Hemming. Steve’s iconic bat with nails through it that he used as a weapon was hugely popular in Season 2 and there’s also a flower looking like the inside of the Demogorgon’s mouth to give it a unique design and more color. It’s iron-on so it will be easy to throw it on a vest or tote bag.
The Upsidedown Sticky Notes
Portraying both the upside down and the real work, this sticky notepad allows you to write out pros and cons to something you’re considering. I jotted down a few that popped into mind, but you may not agree.
Should I Stay or Should I Go Spinner Enamel Pin
The clear star of this month is the enamel pin if you ask me. I’ve never seen such an involved one that spins like this one does. It’s nearly two inches in diameter and has Nancy’s likeness on the top layer with The Clash song title “Should I Stay Or Should I Go?” (a favorite of Jonathan and Will Byers’) written underneath her. Depending on which way you spin it, she’s either gazing into the eyes of Steve or Jonathan. This love triangle was another talked about part of the show and has fans split into two teams. I can’t resist Steve’s hair or that badass bat, so I know where my allegiance lies.
Verdict: Laserbrain Patch Co. was short n sweet this month. They chose some of the favorite pieces from Stranger Things and made them into some really cool merchandise! The pin is spectacular and the patch is totally cool. I always need sticky notes so they’re a win for me as well. The pin alone pays for this subscription.
