I also won’t be getting the glamglow not only for the 2 star rating but because it’s 3rd ingredient is alcohol denat which is drying to the skin and not healthy. I really love that marble bag though, I just wish it was a tad cheaper than $14 since I got a makeup bag last box.

PSA: Guys I’ve been doing some research lately about Formaldehyde releasers in skincare and “diazolidinyl urea” is one of them. That ingredient is in the Blaq eye masks. Do your eyes and wallet a favor and don’t buy these eye masks.

Really really glad that none of this stuff appeals to me – will skip this whole box actually as the box spoilers are not to my liking either.

Not much there for me, the Glam Glow mask looks interesting, perhaps for my daughter, she loves masks. I have been putting all mine as free gifts in swap exchanges. Masks are not one of my addictions 🙂

Sorry but nothing is exciting me about this box. Thankfully I will not be renewing after it.

Rogue

It’s not the box. This is for the add-on sale

Was so excited about the GlamGlow Glitter Mask, until I went and read reviews. Make sure you check the reviews on the GlamGlow site before you buy it just so that you know.

Bebe

Thank you! That would end up being me with blotchy, irritated skin…

Well I for one am definitely getting that mask! Not trying to offend anyone by buying it, and everyone has the right to their own belief systems. Your commitment to this is very commendable! If I didn’t buy anything that was made with plastic, I wouldn’t have any makeup or skin care products at all. I would say 99.9% of products sold, have some plastic in the product itself or the packaging. I’m sure everyone owns some or has purchased plastics before. I also use glitter on the crafts that I enjoy making and selling. I am very careful to recycle all of my recyclables, and I do not litter at all!!! I am also an animal lover and wouldn’t do anything to harm them. I really don’t appreciate the implication of that if I buy the mask. Matter of fact, I am so tired of all of the drama. If it’s not someone being sensitive about their skin color, it’s some other belief that comes up on this site. This site is supposed to be a fun place to go and see what you may or may not get in subs. I just feel like I get attacked every time I come on here lately due to ones political or racial beliefs. I think that should be kept to ourselves.

I agree with you, definitely. Just fyi, that line from glamglow didn’t sell well, so it is on clearance at a lot of places, so do recommend shopping around once their add ons are active. It might be one of the rare times you might find it cheaper elsewhere. Anyway, I thinks it’s great to be conscious of effects of certain products’ potential detrimental effects to health or environment, but when it crosses to sanctimonious, the message gets lost. And the comments below are in that vein, to me, no offense to them and good intentions.

Can’t wait to get that mask! Love the sparkle.

I won’t be purchasing that mask. It contributes to our oceans plastic problem. I see nothing fun about that. I wish FFF was more associated with Clean Beauty.

Danelle

Yes!! I also suggested to them Korean beauty products. They many times have less chemicals.

This is taken from the sephora page about this mask.

-What is your glitter made of? Is it plastic?
#GLITTERMASK is made with the same high-quality cosmetic-grade glitter used in facial makeup. It also peels off to be discarded in the trash (not rinsed off with water).

So yeah, it should be fine. You peel it and throw it in the bin.

Jennifer

But ‘cosmetic grade’ glitter is still made of plastic, lol. (Usually polyester, specifically.)

Virginia

I think the plastic water bottles make a bigger mess than a few eye masks. Have you seen what has been created to trap the plastic of the coast of California so it can be cleaned up.

Bianca

I’m pretty sure it’s a peel off so it’s thrown away, not rinsed down the drain

I’m excited!

Laura

These look awesome!

I love the Blotterazzi! So much nicer than blotting sheets.

That plastic glitter contributes to the clogging of our bodies of water around the world. Plastic, includinf cosmetic glitter, has been found in seafood by both chefs and home cooks alike. When sea life and marine animals swallow up things like this, they may get the sensation of fullness that they’d otherwise get from food, but are actually starving to death. Hopefully, now that we all know better, we’ll all choose to do better, and to do the right thing.

Thank you for the information, I had no idea that glitter was even an issue to marine life. I appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.

Wowww. This hurt my heart. 😪

Well said Tammy, I totally agree with you!

GlamGlow products rate low on EWG. I used to love them but have to be careful with what I put on my face 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

Ugh, well that ruins my plans to have fun with the glitter mask I don’t need anyway. Thanks for the info and from saving me some $$!

Reply ButtonReply

Sam

I didn’t know that either. Thank you. I will not be purchasing that mask now!

Reply ButtonReply

lori

I didn’t know that! Thanks for sharing, I love being informed so I can be more environmentally conscientious.

Cyndi

Blotterazzi are always nice to have!

I want that glitter mask for no good reason. I just wanna sparkle!

Sabrina

Lol I’m right there with you!!

Cassandra

glamglow mask looks so fun!!!

Lara

Until you notice that denatured alcohol is a top 3 ingredient lol

Amanda

Exactly but what’s worse is a formaldehyde releaser in those Blaq eye masks…tsk tsk.
