Deadpool Club Merc Crate #1 Review

After a shipping delay on this box - we finally just received the first-ever crate this week. The first crate's theme was 'Bite Me' and featured food-related items - of course, you can expect tacos.

What's a Loot Crate box if it doesn't invert? This box inverts into a Club Merc Taqueria food truck - we'll see more of this later.

It comes with an information card. Here, you'll find details on all of the items in the box. But better yet...

The other side is an 8x10 worth displaying - this features the cover art from Deadpool Kills Deadpool #2 by Michael Del Mundo. For me, it'll be fun just collecting these if they continue doing - there are certainly more than enough good Deadpool cover art pieces.

Deadpool Taco Pin - Value $5-10?

Loot Crates almost always have an enamel pin, as well. The Club Merc pin is one of their big pins - like Loot Crate DX - and I love the taco integration into the logo!

Bite Me T-Shirt - Value $15?

The first-ever Club Merc shirt features Deadpool with what else but a taco.

It's a pretty standard shirt, the only bit worth mentioning is this little tag at the waistline.

Deadpool Geeki Tiki Mug - Value $20-25 for Loot Crate Edition

The big-ticket item of the box is a Geeki Tiki mug featuring Deadpool, of course.

Deadpool Geeki Tikis already are out there for purchase, but this is a Loot Crate edition variant that includes the black paint around his eyes.

I typically end up using these for desk accessory holders - I use the mini ones for toothpicks and the bigger ones for pens and such.

They've been rolling these out for a ton of characters.

Club Merc Taqueria Apron - Value $15-20?

Club Merc Taqueria breaks the third wall and finds its way onto your new apron.

I will definitely wear a Deadpool with a sombrero apron!

It has adjustable neck straps to raise and lower it - but, overall, it's your basic apron.

Horchata Air Fresheners - Value $5?

You'll get this two-pack of horchata-scented air fresheners. These actually smell really good to me - I might need to get one into my car.

Club Merc Lanyard - Bonus

The last item is marked as a bonus item for this box - it's a CLub Merc lanyard and member card.

It comes with this little card that you can sign.

It's a basic lanyard - but it's always fun with Deadpool involved.

Verdict: This pretty much follows the typical Loot Crate formula, the only surprise was that there wasn't a figure this month - and with the amount of awesome Deadpool figures out there right now - it was a bit of a surprise! I always like Geeki Tikis more than I think I will, plus the apron, shirt, pin, and artwork were all pretty dang nice as well. Overall, I like it - but, of course, the excitement was dulled again by major shipping issues - on the very first box no less! Loot Crate needs to figure out their shipping issues, and quick!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, You’ll see the current them on the landing page – the current theme cutoff is September 15th.

COUPON – None at this time

not giving any major spoilers but I’m really hoping for something good from the third box as the second box was kind of a let down.
