Now, on to the items!

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Large Tapered Face Brush – Retail Value $34

This brush is dome-shaped and densely packed for powder or liquid foundation application.

The only bummer is that my brush got a bit smooshed in shipping:

Fun colors, too!

Trifle Cosmetics Eye Candy in Sorbet – Retail Value $14

This eyeshadow duo features a purple shimmer shade and a burgundy wine shimmer shade.

The shimmer and pigment with this duo are amazing! (I recommend using an eyelid primer as I had some minor fallout, though.)

Swatched in lower photo.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Luna Light in Liquid Ray – Retail Value $19

Like all So Susan Cosmetics liquid highlighters, a little goes a long way with this! The color is a light pink/silver highlighter, and it’s easy to blend out.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

So Susan Lip Dew in Coral Gloss – Retail Value $19

When I hear tinted lip balm, I think lots of moisture and a little color. This lip balm is the opposite of that. It’s really pigmented and provides some hydration. And it has a cherry/berry scent to match its name!

Here it is swatched above the eyeshadow duo and the highlighter:

And each So Susan Color Curate comes with a new makeup bag:

Limited Edition Makeup Bag – Value $12

The bag is made of a spill-proof vinyl material with a fabric lining:

Verdict: This month’s So Susan Lip Love bag has a value of about $98! I think that value is fantastic for a $21 ingredient-conscious makeup subscription box. If you are looking for a vegan, ingredient-conscious makeup subscription, I can’t recommend this one enough. The value is great, the formulas are great, and the bonus bag is always super cute!

  1. Does anyone know when we’ll get a spoiler for September? I finally subscribed in August even though I have too many box subs going. I have to be honest, I didn’t feel like what I received is anything I’d buy for myself outside of a box sub purchase. But I also know with subs some months are better than others. I’m torn over cancelling already or hanging in there.

  2. I would like to know if any of the products sourced for this bag are still made in P.R.C. ( China).

I subscribed to it just a few months ago, and while the source origin is hard to find, it is on each product, and every single one So Susan curated was made in China.
To me, this negates all the ” We are 100% cruelty free” statements.
Numerous brands of inexpensive cosmetic brands have shown contamination and impurities from manufacturing in China. Also, if any of the products are sold in China, they are testing on animals.

If it’s changed, I’d like the bag subscription again. But not with the very deep manufacturing ties to P.R. C. which did exist just a few months ago.
I’d like to see this stated in reviews of all cosmetic products, as I know many of us will not buy nor support P.R.C.- made makeup or skin care items because of personal safety and animal welfare.

    • Where are you finding this information? I constantly see this posted with their bags and I’ve thoroughly inspected their products. All of the products say formulated in Italy, packaging made in China. If you have direct links about sourcing I’d love to see and be enlightened. I stopped my subscription at the moment due to product overload and irritation over too many Jelly Puffs, but I always liked it.

    • Hi Mandy, do you have a link for “Numerous brands of inexpensive cosmetic brands have shown contamination and impurities from manufacturing in China”? I just hope to find out more information about this situation 🙂

  3. I live in Canada. I was about to subscribe then I realized the shipping was more than the monthly subscription fee. $20.95 a month and $24.95 for shipping. No thank you!!!!

  4. That pigment on the eyeshadow is=Wow
Everything looks great. Just wash your brush and when your drying it by rolling it with your hands you’ll see the brissels open up and and lay flat on a paper towel to air dry. Straighten flat with your hand.

  5. I really like the lip and eye color. The bags really need to get rid of the sayings. The prints are plenty in my opinion.
