Busy Bee Stationery July 2018 Review

Each box is sent with a card introducing the month’s theme and gives the link to Busy Bee’s blog which normally would provide information about each product in the box. As of publication, though, the blog page was not in working order.

On to the items!

Little Plants Pencil Set (6) by Blanca Gomez – Retail Value $8.90 (£7)

I really liked these pencils! They came in a pack of 6 and came pre-sharpened which means I am more likely to use them rather than them sit and look pretty. Featured in Blanca Gomez’s “Little Plant” artwork, they are super cute and fit perfectly in this month’s theme of Succulent Love.

Heart Stickers by Color Seal – Retail Value $1.62 (found here for $1.00)

At 84 stickers per sheet, I have hit the sticker jackpot with over 500 multicolored heart stickers of different sizes! Great for scrapbooking or as a seal to a letter filled with love these little stickers definitely have a place and will be used!

Cactus Address Book –

Cactus Address Book – Retail Value $5.99

Measuring at 3.5 inches by 6.5 inches, this little contact and address box fits perfectly in my purse. At 60 pages, I can fit about 180 contacts into this coral cactus book. Considering my amount of time I have a dead or forgotten phone, it is nice to go back to the pre-smartphone days to have contacts at an arms reach.

Little Plants Notebook – Retail Value $6.36 (£5)

Another design by Blanca Gomez, this 24 blank page little notebook is perfect for an artist, writer or just about any creative mind.

The pages are bound together by a golden thread giving this notebook a contemporary design.

Jungle Cat Washi Tape – Retail Value $3.50 (£2.75)

I love this washi tape design! Beautiful jungle greens and the occasional peek-a-boo cat has me humming The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

Cactus Wallet – Estimated Value $9.00 (based on the same brand item of different print)

The sixth and final item in this month’s Busy Bee Stationery box is this adorable Bijorca cactus zip-closure wallet.

The wallet features multiple pockets for cards and a zipper coin-pouch inside. While I could not find this exact wallet in stock online, I was able to find a selection offered by multiple retailers of different prints.

Verdict: I really liked this box and released ooh and ahh’s as I opened and looked at every item. I was disappointed, though, when I totaled the items. The combined estimated value of the six items came in at $35.37, under the $39.90 cost of the box (including free US shipping). Since the blog is down, I cannot refer to it to see if maybe I was missing an item that would increase the value of the box.
