Bluum August 2018 Review

My Bluum box account is set up for my youngest son, Bennett, who is 4 months old.  Let's see what we received this month:

Blooming Baby Mini Bloom Scrubbie - Retail Value $9.99 (on sale for $4.99)

This scrubbie is really cute and super soft! It's actually fairly large and has this convenient strap on the back to hold it on your hand. This is meant to last through toddlerhood and is machine washable making it a great alternative to washcloths. I love that when it's wet it doesn't absorb a ton of water, but feels pretty dense, which makes it easy to clean with. This matches the Blooming Bath which I have heard of before, but never used, although now that I see it, I kind of wish I had one for all of my kids. If it's as soft as this, then it must be pretty comfy for baby! They also included a 20% off coupon and they have free shipping, so I might just get some more scrubbies for the other kids!

Kean/Bluum Silicone Teething Mitt - Estimated Value $10 (Similar item can be found here for $7.73)

I could only find what looks like a link to their wholesale site, but based on other mitts similar to this one, the price ranges from $8-$13. I received an email before my box arrived which told me this is an exclusive mitt from Kean silicone for Bluum and it could not have come at a more perfect time! Bennett has been chewing on his fingers, and mine, non-stop! This little mitt is so cute and has a strap that you can tighten to keep it on baby's hand. It also has the crinkly material inside so it makes a fun sound when he plays with it. As you can see, he started chomping on it immediately once I put it on him! It's also small enough that he can hold it easily and teeth on it as much as he wants when it is off his hand too.

GooseWaddle Bite Mees Shark Teether - Retail Value $20 (found here for $17.95)

While normally, I wouldn't be happy about receiving two such similar items in one box, teethers are one of those items that I like to have stashed in different rooms in the house so I was happy to receive both. This teether also has the crinkly material inside so it makes fun noises and of course, it has the green silicone teething corner, but other than that I think this is a very different item than the mitt. This is so soft, light and very thin, making it a perfect toy for baby to hold and love on. Bennett can easily grab this on his own, and since he's not picky, he will chew on whichever part of this little shark that he can get his mouth on. Plus it's super cute! I see this being a great toy that can transition with him past teething since the teether is such a small part of the toy.

Goodnight, Bear by Jane Cabrera - Retail Value $7.99 (found here for $6.39)

This is a sweet bedtime book with some really beautiful illustrations. Since this is my third kid, this isn't something incredibly new to me and we have plenty of books similar to it, but I can always appreciate a new book for our collection. If I were a ffirst-timeparent, I would definitely appreciate this even more.

Each page features a different animal and just a few words, but the illustrations are great and so appealing to little ones. The big animal heads are a great focal point and all of the details behind them are interesting too. I love how much texture each of the animals has and I think they are all adorable! This is a great bedtime book and my two-year-old really enjoyed it as well.

Verdict: This was a perfect Bluum box for us this month. I always love teething toys because different ones seem to work at different times, and the two that we received were so unique and fun! The book was very sweet and I will definitely be using the scrubbie for my baby boy since it is so soft. So all in all, I'd call this box a win! This box costs $34 a month, including free shipping, and I estimate the total value of the items I received to be $47.98. I think that's a great value considering we received such unique and useful items this month!

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

I have tried many different children’s subscriptions and this is my favorite by far. I end up using every since item they send and still have some toys from my first couple boxes with my first daughter 4 years ago. They send quality items and the price point is not that bad. The only difference I notice now compared to a couple years ago is that they used to send some Mommy gifts. But that’s okay, this box is completely worth it to me!

I loved the loop tags on the tethers like the Goosewaddle because you can use the stroller links or chew beads and hang from activity mat etc.
