I picked up four items during the 1 for $10 or 2 for ~$40 sale. It was a little frustrating shopping as the promo code had an hour countdown on it so I couldn’t take time double checking things – especially with my toddler and baby needing attention. I probably would have picked different items had I more time to browse.
They just arrived today! Two pieces I like – both Remi boots in different colors, black and bordeaux. I probably should have double checked the heel height before ordering, but I can balance in them OK and that’s what counts. The height on them is great and they are a lot easier to get into than I feared. I’m excited to finally have some thigh boots to wear and see if I like the look or not.
The third pair of boots (Coralie double buckle) I’m on the fence about. It’s a far darker color than on the website – an almost black Navy (I thought they sent me the wrong color at first until I looked at it in different lighting.) They are uncomfortable to walk in as they gape a lot at the top and hit at the knee as I walk. I may end up returning these.
The fourth item was a belted trench, and not very good quality at all. (Definitely not worth $75 RV, I wouldn’t even pay $15 in a store for it.) The design and color itself was OK, it’s just the fabric was cheap and thin and wrinkly. The worst part is they didn’t do the buttonholes right, so some buttons won’t even go through the holes – which makes an odd gaping button back. I’ll be returning this one.
Overall, I’m not sure yet whether I could consider it a ‘deal’ or not – the sale prices I actually paid seem in line with the quality received. Even the boots I liked were a thin material without any real support inside.
