Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that caters to plus size women between the sizes of 10-32. Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like and they are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items sent to you are at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. I just started using the service a couple months ago and can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!
Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental service, but they also have a marketplace on their site where you can buy strongly discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and work out gear as well!

Gwynnie Bee June 2018 Review
This review is of the one item at a time for two items that I received between June 11th- the 21st:
Front Tie Corset Tiered Sleeve Blue Dress by J.O.A, Size 2x—Retail Value $78.50
I forgot even closeting this piece, so receiving it was a fun surprise! This dress makes me think of something Kelly Kapowksi would wear to a Renaissance Fair. Not sure how I get such a specific vibe from it, maybe because it harkens back to something I would have worn in the early to mid-90s. The fabric is light, but the layers, corset portion, and liner make it feel heavier to wear. This dress is adorable and would look great with summer platform wedges or in the fall with some retro lace-up boots and a vest to add a retro 60s psychedelic charm. I can envision wearing this to a summer wedding with floral accessories and espadrilles!
Layered High Low Sleeve Dress in Red Floral Print by NY Collection Size 2x—Retail Value $63
This sheer, flouncy, floral dress is truly vacation ready! I am sad I didn’t make it to Stinson Beach this year because this would be the perfect dress to walk along the waves in. This dress’s fabric is rather lightweight and has layered ruffles at the sleeve and a base of the high-low bottom. I tend to like high-low dresses because my derriere often makes dresses and skirts shorter in the back. I will never have that issue with this piece! The dress has an inside liner that has some stretch, but the outer layer does not. Wear this to summer graduation parties and weddings with your favorite embellished sandals and bangles on your wrists!
Floral Knot Front Top by RACHEL Rachel Roy Size 2x—Retail Value Unavailable
This is a top I actually closeted in the winter time, so I was surprised to see it in my box in June! This blouse would be more appropriate for fall with its stunning, deep blue jewel tone and black and white floral print; but that doesn’t make it any less adorable! Though this has a fall aesthetic, the fabric is light and appropriate in this sweltering July weather. I appreciate the high collar, knot detail at the neck and the low back slit as well the flutter sleeves on this top. There is a definite eye for detail in the design on this one. The shirt itself hits me a bit longer than I prefer, but that is easily remedied by tucking the top into my high waist pencil skirt. This top certainly would make a fantastic office staple paired with an off-white leather biker jacket, black pencil skirt, and fringed booties or with a skinny leg, high waist jeans, heels, and silver hoops for a nightcap after work.
Verdict: Guys, I don’t know if I have said it before, but I absolutely love Gwynnie Bee! I sound like a broken record, but I always recommend them to my friends starting out in jobs that have business casual dress codes. Purchasing an entire work wardrobe is pricey; being able to rent ensembles is far more cost effective! I also love the fact I can actually wear the pieces instead of simply trying them on. Apart from renting work appropriate gear, Gwynnie Bee has enabled me to try trends I otherwise may have passed up on! Plus, because their size offerings are so inclusive from size 0 to 30, if you gain or lose weight, you know you can turn to Gwynnie Bee for in between size options. In addition, if you find a piece you can’t bear to return—no sweat because Gwynnie Bee sells gently worn rentals on the cheap! Goodness knows I have bought a few dresses on deep discount from Gwynnie Bee. I could go on and on, but you get the point: there’s a lot to love about Gwynnie Bee!

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range is dependent on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three item at a time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month, but I could get several pieces sent to me in a month’s time if I return each piece after wearing promptly. Two of the pieces I received total $141.50 (that price does not include the Rachel Roy top because when I selected to return the item the price was no longer listed). That is roughly $46.50 more than my monthly subscription! Imagine the value if I had returned these pieces and received even more!
