  1. Do the words “possible refunds” mean some people may not get refunded? I wonder what happened since this seems unplanned from that notice.

    • Yes what is up with that??

    • My charge wasn’t as high as some were paying because I was “grandfathered in” to free shipping and a discounted rate. I will say that the overall value of the box was lessening as of late, and that there were a couple months that I was a little disappointed in the contents.

      Nonetheless, I had no plans to cancel and it was my favorite. I find it hard to believe that the lady that ran the box will leave anyone high and dry and not refund them….she seemed to be really kind and customer service was always fantastic.

      I do wish we knew what happened to just cancel it so abruptly. She was just offering discounts on new plans around July 4th.

  2. Like everyone else, I loved this subscription and wanted to sub since I first read a review nearly three years ago. But the price kept me from subscribing. I am sad to see them, because it seemed they truly cared about their business.

  3. I was so sad when I got the email from them, if they had only lower their price then they would had gotten more subscribers.

  4. I am so completely bummed to hear this. By far my favorite subscription box of all time. Ugh!

  5. This was perhaps the box I most looked forward to receiving each month — the curation was so thoughtful. Their customer service was great and the box always arrived right on time. I am really sorry to see this subscription end.

  6. I agree with everyone about the price. I only purchased one of these boxes and it was with a coupon code. If I recall correctly, the “regular” fee was around $65 plus a $10 shipping fee. I really am surprised that they managed to stay in business this long.

  7. Sad to see them close; but I can’t say I’m surprised. $50+ for a new book every month is expensive. I always wanted to sub to this box but it was just too expensive for me.

      • Yup. This was on my “to-try” list for a long time. The curation was lovely, but the price point was too high to ever pull the trigger.

    • I am sad to see anyone have to close down shop but I agree with you. This looked like a lovely subscription but I always felt the price was completely out of line.
