Happy that there is no sunscreen items.

So sad this is the third month in a row I have not been tempted to resubscribe. Well I realize June and July or full of sunscreen related products which makes sense for the summer months those are just not personally something I wanted or could use and was hoping that the August box would be something I could jump back on for. But I do appreciate the fact that this subscription is very easy to cancel and re-subscribe for which is something I think a lot of beauty and skin care related subscriptions should consider. I realize many subscription boxes say if you cancel then you’re going to have to go on a waitlist if you want to resubscribe but personally I feel it would go along way with their customer base if they made it where you could skip a month very easily and then reactivate your subscription for a month when their specific products or something you could use. I will continue to monitor this website for the spoilers that are offered not only for beauty fixed but for everything else and thank you Liz for creating such a wonderful website !

This box looks great, I love Tarte so I’m happy about the lip color, plus all the full sized items look great. I’m really excited for August.

A very tempting box!

I think this is one of the best boxes in a while for me. I’ll use everything.

This box is looking good for me & my skin/preferences aside from the Tarte nude liquid lip. They always send shades that look awful on me so I’ve basically given up on that.

I was interested in this box, but now I’m completely not into it. First they have a Tarte product in it, which a lot of boxes do these days so I can’t really escape, but to add insult to injury and add a beauty blender item to the same box as a Tarte item? Nope. Maybe they should rename this box. Instead of just the August box they can call it “the companies that don’t care abt ppl of color” box or “the really terrible shade range and even worse excuses for it” box? They can throw in a sample of something from IT cosmetics and hit the “not a brand for people of color” trifecta.

I’m so damn tired of these companies – Tarte, beauty blender, IT, physicians formula and more –
not getting the heat they deserve for not offering a truly inclusive and gradient shade range in their complexion products and I’m quickly tiring of sub boxes thinking they don’t have any responsibility on all of this because they’re introducing new ppl to these brands, increasing awareness of the less problematic products and never ever mentioning any of the really crappy things these companies have done in the recent past.

Here are some People of Color only boxes: Cocotique, Onyxbox, Boss+Bae, My Lit Box, Curl box, Glowwbox(among many others to choose from). These boxes are owned and curated by women of color. I have Onyxbox. Good luck in choosing one! Hope this helped you!

I can’t figure out what skin color has to do with using a sponge? Do you not sweat? Not get oily? Not wear make up? 🤔

The ironic thing is that it looks like a Person of color in their advertisements demonstrating how to use the product!

Sounds like the same person that jumped all over me for saying that myself and Yari G could definitely pull of the aug boxycharm pallete with our skin tone. She immediately said I was saying that POC couldnt pull off the pallete and started raving about skin colors. Idk wth is going on with that, but its a little rediculous and its getting old.

Jamie

It’s the brand, overall, that I won’t support. Bringing out a non-inclusive shade range shows me that they don’t care abt certain people or certain people just don’t matter to them enough to create the proper shades necessary to have a complete range.
I won’t give them my money through the purchase of their other products. And it’s not ironic in any way that a person of color is in the ad. It’s a highly calculated move likely advised by their marketing dept following their shade range disaster.

Rosette

The Tarte is a lip product & the beauty blender can be used on POC?? I’m also POC & you’re being a bit ridiculous with this box.

Jamie

It’s not these exact products in particular, but the brands overall. They aren’t what I would call inclusive in their complexion products and for that alone I won’t support a box that puts multiples of these brands in their boxes, especially in one box.
I simply don’t support brands that have decided they’re only going to make complexion products for those that mostly fall into the “medium beige” shade range. As consumers we show support with our dollars. My dollars won’t support brands that say things like they’ll bring more dark shades in summer when ppl are darker or who say that the 20 shades of their foundation that are pumped out into a line are identical are for the Latinx community when the Latinx ppl I personally know and know of, hundreds in my own home town, won’t fit into that narrow range of beige. Imo it’s wrong for a company to announce a huge foundation release and then only have shades available for half or less of the population they claim to serve. That’s what makes me feel comfortable spending my money with a company. You do whatever makes you comfortable. I’ll do what I do. Luckily it’s a free country.

Jen

Beauty Blender just released a foundation range which is quite broad BUT it’s mostly a lot of fair colors and doesn’t fully cater to darker skin tones IMO. I am guessing this is what she’s referring to. A lot of people were annoyed by the lack of color selection with their new release.
I’m not sure about tarte but maybe they don’t offer an in depth foundation range. I’m in no position to judge since it’s pretty easy for me to find my color whenever I go to sephora.
All that aside, I’m excited for this box, I signed up just based on the spoilers!

Shari

Not real impressed with this box I do not use eye patches. I am sure I can swap a lot of these things though 🙂

Good brand and useful products; I’m satisfied!

This box is decent. I just don’t need anything in it right now. I do like the blotterazzi. I could use one for the humid Ohio weather. I’m sure I can find one on the swap board though.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Same!!

Joy

This is probably a slightly gross recommendation, however…..

Use a Blotterazzi if your makeup ever starts to get messed up when you sweat. Just dab your sweat and the Blotterazzi will absorb it without harming your makeup at all.

I use it to touch up any gross sweaty makeup when I get off the hot and humid NYC subways. It makes it look like I never sweated in the first place.

It is seriously a total life saver!

Emma

I tried one of these before; I think I got it in a Birchbox. But it didn’t really absorb anything, and I ended up with the biggest, most painful cyst I’d had in years. Could be coincidence, but I’d rather use blotting sheets.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

That doesn’t sound gross at all! Makes perfect sense to me 🙂

Normally, I gift the blotterazzis I’ve received, but I think I’m going to keep this one this time around and keep it at my desk at work to smooth out any makeup that my oily face gets all blotchy & cakey by the late morning.

Sadly, I canceled. The only product is suited for me in the box is skinmedica, but it is tiny sample. Last month was awesome, I got it just for the bag, which I already used many time. Looking forward for the month of September to re-sub.

Tanya

Glad I tried this box out a few months back. I’ve been very happy with it. I cancelled a different sub for this one and it’s now my favorite from others I get. Keep them coming BeautyFix, good job and thank you!

I love the blotterazzis! They last forever and wash really well. I have also used them to touch up my foundation in a pinch. I love Beautyfix and really excited for this box!

Nikkim

Meh I cancelled. I have dry skin, already have that tarte. Everything is just not exciting. I will see be back for September though
