Honua Moana Mask - Full Size! Retail Value $38

This is a soothing, hydrating mask. I couldn't find directions for how to apply it, so I just applied a lot and let it sit for about 30 minutes. It smells lovely, feels great, and my skin loved it, too!

Honua Malu Protecting Day Cream SPF 30 - Full Size! Retail Value $42

This is a white sunscreen that rubs in clear. Again, I love the scent (it reminds me of Paperwhite narcissus), and I can always use more sunscreen. Especially ingredient conscious sunscreen! My only hesitation around this product is that 1 oz seems pretty small for a full size face sunscreen. (Most face sunscreens tend to be in the 1.7 to 3 ounce range.)

Beauty Heroes Use Less Love More Straw - Bonus

This box also included a bonus glass straw with a pipe cleaner:

It's dishwasher safe and heat safe, too!

Verdict: This month's Beauty Heroes box has a value of about $90. I think that's a good value for the $42.95 cost! I'll use both of these skincare items, so I'm happy, and I love how good they smell and feel!

I appreciate that Beauty Heroes sends top-quality natural and organic brands. This box is about quality over quantity, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a natural beauty box.

The mask is nice, but I’m not fond of the moisturizer. It feels very sticky on my face, even when applying just a little. The July box is so much better than this one!

What’s in the July box?

I love that mask too. And I thought I wouldn’t use the straw, but I’m actually really liking it and using it a bunch. It feels kinda luxurious to be drinking from a glass straw, instead of plastic, plus it’s good for the environment.

I love the mask!! At first I wasn’t very excited, but then tried it and it’s beautiful…luxe experience. It reminds me of a Red Door Spa mask. My skin was very soft afterwards…and I’m in a zero humidity climate! Great Month!

My July box just arrived also and the bottles are huge! This brand reminds of Osea 😊

May I ask what the consistency was of your mask? I posted a comment last night asking this, but it looks like my comment never posted. I’m asking because the mask shown in the review looks really creamy, but my mask looks a bit “dried” out in how typical clay masks look… like really thick & slightly chunky looking. I was going through my masks last weekend, and I noticed some oil had seeped from the jar (not sure how that happened since it was upright & it arrived fine), so when I was cleaning it up is when I noticed its consistency (I never open my products until I’m ready to use them, so I don’t know if that’s how it arrived). Thanks!

Mask is smooth and super creamy. Not at all dry.

JC

The mask was half in content. I’m not sure if anyone had the same issue.

They are slacking this month, I think!

Uh oh… I think my mask is already getting a bit dried out, because it doesn’t look creamy like Liz’s mask. 🙁 I never open my products until I’m ready to use them, but I was organizing my masks this past weekend, and noticed some oil had somehow seeped from the jar (I don’t know how because it’s always been upright, and was fine when I got it in the box), so I opened it to clean it, and while it’s not fully dried out, it does feel like how a typical clay mask would feel (fairly thick) and not how a hydrating mask would. I looked at the link, and fortunately different clays are in the top few ingredients, so hopefully my mask is okay, and that’s how it’s supposed to look. I know due to natural ingredients, different batches can have different coloring, textures, etc., so maybe I’m just being paranoid. 🙂 Does anyone else’s mask look more like Liz’s mask or does it look more like a clay mask? Well, regardless, I think this will my next mask I’ll be using just in case… I can’t this baby go to waste!
