  1. I received my box yesterday. So fast! Exactly 7 days from order. Not that exciting and I wouldn’t have ordered except the Wen products make it a great value. I rec’d a different color of Zoya which is good! It’s still a pink but a darker pink. No products were missing or damaged this time. Tired of all the repeats. How many plastic hair rings can one person use? But love getting the makeup remover wipes. Can always use more of those.

    • I received my box today. only 3 items i really liked were the Nexxus Keraphix Shampoo and conditioner, full sized, for Damaged Hair and the Clio Designs Palmperfect Pixie Bikini Shaver + Trimmer and the Zoya polish which i will have to re-gift. Polish is a pretty pink which is too light for my pale skin.

IMHO, the rest of it looked like dollar store junk. Glad i only have one of these.

maybe not the WEN i guess but i only use that for “in between” hair washes because it makes my hair stringy and clumpy.

overall, if if you have been participating in these for a while, as I have, you will be shocked when you open the box. items only fill the bottom third.

  2. Having this be all drugstore products surprises me, since the regular boxes include high end. At about $3.15 a piece, still a good deal, but the curation is so bad imo: 2 hair conditioners, 3 hair spray treatments (one curl specific at that), and 2 hair brushes? no thanks…

    • Why so much heavy duty shampoo and conditioner too? I have totally straight, greasier, needs volume hair. We don’t all have curly locks!

  3. lots of repeated products from June/July, they may be a different scent or color but they are the same. unfortunately i signed up for all 3 boxes.

only thing that looks bridal to me is the ZOYA naked nail polish. i’m glad because i don’t need bridal products and nothing was said about different magazines curating the boxes when i bought all three.

ZOYA is an awesome product BTW. no chemicals great for your nails.

    • I agree, lots of duplication. Zoya is the only brand of nail polish I will wear but not a fan of this light pink. Even though I complain about these boxes I think Allure offers the best because most products are full size.

    • Um, actually, every single ingredient in it is a chemical.

      • holy cow! just got a notice that this shipped….well actually now i see that USPS is waiting for receipt of the package but this is a shock. i guess Brides is doing a better job curating.

      • Um, actually i was referring to formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutyl phthalate.

    • I know. I thought since Brides was involved or the other mag that the products would be a totally different selection of brands. Kind of a bummer…

  4. Can’t decide if I want this or not. After New Beauty I’m not sure if anything will compare!

  5. I reluctantly bought one. I will use maybe half the products but the Wen products make this box worth getting. I will gift or donate the products I can’t use. Hope this one ships faster than the last one.

  6. I used to get excited over the Allure special boxes when I was new to the sub world, but I learned pretty quick that their not that great. It’s a lot of drug store items and I’m just way to spoiled with mid and higher end products. I’ve been wanting to try the WEN, but I’m nervous that I would be one of the people that lose their hair, as I have hypothyroidism and my hair is already falling out like crazy. When or if they go on sale for like half price, than I’ll consider buying 1 or 2 boxes.

    • They’ve been so stubborn about offering them for sale lately! But at $60 for this type of quality and amount of items it’s just too overpriced!

  7. Too bad they didn’t offer the Spring box at 1/2 half off with the purchase of the Summer box like they did last year. That at least would make me consider getting the boxes this time around.

    • Agreed.

  8. So many products with bad ingredients…

    Hard pass for me.

  9. What does this mean? “The first box will be with Allure, second July box with Brides and third box with Glamour in September.” I originally thought that the July box would be geared towards Brides and September would be Glamour products. But now I read this as the magazines by the same names. So are the Swag boxes advertised in the magazines for their month? The July box is offering 6 issues of Allure magazine so I’m confused. Thanks for any help.

    • Read the sentence before that. It will help you answer your own question.

  10. I’m holding all of my pennies for the upgrade of Boxycharm!

    • ME TOO!!!!! I really hope everyone can get the upgrade that wants it!! They are supposed to be a limited amount. The ones that cant get it this time, will get 1st dibs on the next one but 3 months later!!

  11. I haven’t even gotten my July box yet, so they’re not getting any more money from me. I’ve never had to wait this long for a monthly box from them. 🙁

    • I agree ! My friends that have allure received their boxes for over a week already and mine hasn’t even shipped.
I signed up in June more because of july. It seems like they have a decent box but the customer service and information is lacking. I have other subs and at least always know when I’ll receive the boxes (or a range)

      • Yikes! Allure customer service strikes again?

        • I’ve been with Allure for 3 years and this is the first time I’ve waited so long. I got a shipment notification and tracking number, but there is no tracking info. Womp womp.

  12. Swag= stuck with all garbage?

    • Apparently yes. Burts Bees and chapstick lol

  13. No thanks, Allure. I’m a little surprised at the products in this box, especially since their monthly boxes have been so good lately. I expected a lot more from them.

  14. I liked the brides box from last year, so I’ll wait to see what they come out with this year for that. 🙂

  15. No I will pass, even though it may be worth it for some who have teen-agers and go through a lot of items, for me I am going for quality over quantity a pretty easy pass.

  16. This box is still a nice box IMO. It’s $60 for 19 going to be (almost) all full sized products. They could put a few nicer items in the boxes.

  17. Although I’m not getting it, the numbers aren’t too bad… 19 items for $59.98, comes out to around $3.15 per item. I can see paying that for most of those items. And I came up with a rough estimate for total retail value at $240. I’m on product overload, and I don’t care for the WEN; so it’s a pass for me.

  18. I remember when this used to be 39.99…

  19. I love the Allure monthly box, but this isn’t worth $60 to me. $30 would be a much easier sell.

    • Especially considering the quality of the Beauty Report boxes we got for $30…

  20. It seems that it gets more expufir fewer items and lesser quality. Just my opinion.

    • I meant expensive. Spellcheck. Ughh!

    • I kind of like your new word, expufir! It says a lot! I agree it is kind of expufir, FOR. SURE.

      • Not too exciting…

  21. Easy pass! Buy another Beauty Report box if you have $60 to burn and need some useful product…

    • ITA and at Least New Beauty Awards box has great products also .Allure’s $60 box is too expensive and products to are not worth the $60 price tag I am sure they are not full size either so a pass for a bunch of drug store samples

  22. 😑

  23. All these all full size products?

    • Typically all items in these boxes are full-size. Hope that helps!

  24. Didn’t they already sell this exact box previously? I feel like I’ve seen all these items before.

    • That’s what I was thinking too! Looked like old items

    • My thoughts exactly. I looked at the May box and a few of the items are the same or very similar. A few of the other items were actually in the Allure beauty box or very similar…

  25. Sixty bucks for that pile of junk?! No way!

    • Wow that looks like a wal Mart mega box not an Allure box….where’s the swag?

    • Agreed. My first thought was that these are products you can buy at Walgreens. I am by no means a product snob ( I shop at Walgreens all the time) but I buy these boxes to get high end products not ones that I’ve heard can make your hair fall out (I’m talking to you Wen.)
