Ahhh Sugar Sugar “Box Of Sugar” June 2018 Review
This box comes with company information listed on the box (and I am digging the unicorn).
It also comes with an info sheet for the included products. One thing that is different this month is I found a document on the group Facebook page that has prices for their products. I updated the prices below when I could find them!
Twisted Boardwalk Whipped Meringue, 4 oz – Estimated Value $7.75
I really enjoy the whipped meringues from Ahhh Sugar Sugar, and this month we got a brand new scent in Twisted Boardwalk! The scents of coconut and strawberry daiquiri really make me reminisce some of my favorite vacations where strawberry daiquiris are my drink of choice. I have to be careful not to use too much of this lotion otherwise I will feel greasy in this humidity, but that just means I will be able to stretch this product out to last even longer.
Chasing Waterfalls Anywhere Spritzer, 2 oz – Estimated Value $6.75
This spritzer is safe for your skin so you can use it as a body spray, but you can also use it as an air freshener, a linen spray… basically anywhere you want this, you can spray it. The cool water and juniper breeze scent smells just like what walking into a nice hotel room for the first time on a beach vacation smells like. I don’t mind having my skin smell like this, but I think I will predominately use this as a linen spray because it is so fresh smelling! I need to make this bottle last, as this was another exclusive scent made just for this box.
Hot Guava Sparkling Shower Gel – Estimated Value $8
This shower gel is so my jam. It smells like coconut, fresh guava, and pina colada, and it has glitter in it. The tropical scent with the beautiful color really is all I need in a shower gel, and it gets me clean to boot. This is tied for Vitamin Sea for my favorite scent in the box (and maybe my favorite Ahhh Sugar Sugar scent of all time!).
Vitamin Sea Bath Bomb
I have been really wanting to try a bath bomb from Ahhh Sugar Sugar since discovering the brand, so I was so excited to see one in this month’s box! The scent of freshly peeled oranges, green apple, and fresh pear is simply delectable (and yet another custom scent for the box), and I loved how this bath bomb had all the colors of a beautiful sunset.
In the water, this bomb turned my water a gorgeous hot pink (that my camera had a hard time photographing), and the almond oil softened my skin. More of these, please!
Iz Yew Mad? Poolside Conditioning Spray
This product makes the box 5/5 on custom-made scents just for this box, and this conditioning spray is a brand new product too! The scent of pina colada and watermelon popsicle made me determined to make a watermelon pina colada this weekend, and I totally love having my hair smell like a tropical cocktail. This provided light shine and hydration, but I need something a little more heavy duty for my curls. I would still spritz this in before going to the pool, but I would probably use it in conjunction with another product.
Bonus! Drink stirrer and coaster
Well, now I HAVE to make that watermelon pina colada! I love the care that Ahhh Sugar Sugar takes with packaging and product design because it really adds to the overall unboxing experience. I think the pineapple drink stirrer is absolutely fabulous, too.
The Verdict: More than just the box went into my thoughts on this. In the past month, I experienced the first Ahhh Sugar Sugar restock, where they create a set line of products available for pre-order that you have about a week to purchase. As soon as that sale opened, the website crashed a-la fabfitfun add-ons style. There were some overstocked items available for sale that had a set amount available, and those sold out SO quickly it was insane. I didn’t actually need anything, but I still felt compelled to buy a few things knowing I wouldn’t be able to again for a few months (brilliant marketing scheme on the part of Ahhh Sugar Sugar). Knowing how crazy the fandom is for this brand, combined with the fact that all of the scents are exclusive to the box, I am starting to see while the waiting list is over 100 people long. Each month this box feels like an extra special present just for me, and I am really digging it.
