Now, on to the items!
Linen & Ivory Surf & Sand Pillow Case + Insert – Total Retail Value $41
This pillow cover has script on one side, and a blank side on the back. (It’s made with 100% cotton.) It measures 16 by 16 inches.
The fabric quality and the construction are excellent, and it has a hidden matching zipper.
Ragon House Glass + Metal Lantern – Retail Value $26.99
This lantern measures 10 inches long and about 7 inches across.
The glass is removable, so both pieces could be used on their own, too.
I was originally thinking of using this for a candle, but it would also be fun as a vase! (And Third & Main recommends using this to display seashells you collect!)
Creative Coop Terracotta Fish Shaped Dishes – Retail Value $16.99
How cute are these little fish dishes?! The biggest one measures 8 inches long, and the smallest is 6.5 inches long.
They could work as mini sushi plates, appetizer plates, or to hold toothpicks for a larger appetizer tray.
They are dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe, too!
Verdict: This box has a total retail value of around $85. That’s pretty fair, given the $54.95 price for the box (plus $10 shipping to most of the US). I think this box is well-curated, and they do a great job matching a theme. Sometimes beach-themed items can go overboard and only look good in a beach house, but I think these all should work in almost any home – I like the clean lines and color palette.
This box has fewer items than boxes in the past, but considering you get both the pillow insert and case, it’s really like 4 items. And since this is a monthly box, I think it’s good to keep the emphasis on quality over quantity.

Pass. The pillow can be bought at any dollar store or Walmart. Those fish dishes? Ummmm. No! That’s a pretty narrow “like” for customers. The glass whatchamacallit can be bought anywhere; craft store, dollar store, Walmart, Target….I’ll tell ya I don’t know who gets the “prices” for these items in so many subscription boxes but not everyone is a sucker!
I would be very unhappy to get an overpriced white decor pillow that is very specific to one type of decorating choice. I think the fish dishes are pretty unusable and a bit creepy, better suited to Halloween decor.
Literally jealous what a great box
The latern would be perfect for displaying sea glass!
In general I like this box, but I super dislike things that have words on them!! I think they are so personal or style-specific — I really wish boxes would just stop sending them.
While I like the items in this box, I object to the price: I have bought the most elaborately beaded and embroidered pillows at Pier 1 Imports for $10 on sale, the vase could be found anywhere for the same price and I wouldn’t pay more than $10 for the fish dishes, either.
I’d pay $30 for the whole box.
