The BAM! Horror Box May 2018 Review

This month's items from The Puppets, Evil Ernie, The Twilight Zone Movie, and Constantine:

This sheet gives info on this month’s box and also regarding the BAM! Community where you can trade items, enter contests, get latest BAM! news, and meet fellow horror fiends and Bammers alike! The form also suggests looking in email and the site for info for the June box!

I also got a 1-Up notice alerting me I received an upgraded or limited edition item in this month’s box! Cool!

Pinhead from Puppet Master Enamel Fan Art Pin by Artist @dirtygirlpinco — Retail Value Unavailable

This month’s enamel pin features Pinhead, who is one of three of the only puppets featured in all the Puppet Master films! This pin is limited edition and is marked on the back to indicate it is 220 of 250 made. Pretty neat!

BAM! Box Exclusive “Legends” Fan Art Collection Art Print by Artist Ken Haeser (Number 2/3) — Retail Value Unavailable

This is the second of the third print in the “Legends” set by Ken Haeser! Talk about a who’s who in horror films, right? We have Ghostface from the Scream movies, The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers, Crites from Critters, and my personal fave: Michael Myers from the Halloween movies! I can’t wait to see the final print that completes this MONSTER (pun totally intended) print set!

BAM! Box Larry Cedar aka the Gremlin Creature from The Twilight Zone Movie Signed 8x10 — Retail Value Unavailable

Sure, William Shatner on the episode of The Twilight Zone titled “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” is iconic, but equally iconic and haunting is the reimagined version in Twilight Zone: The Movie starring John Lithgow. Here we have a signed photograph of the gremlin creature played by Larry Cedar in the movie. What a great piece of cinematic history!

Constantine Holy Shotgun Shell by Dark Matters Props — Retail Value Unavailable

Here is a replica of one of the holy shotgun shells that were featured in the movie, Constantine. I have never seen this movie and only know that Keanu Reeves starred in the title role. This prop is hefty and has some weight. You can either display it proudly among your other BAM! Horror Box collectibles or use it as a paperweight.

Evil Ernie (Vol 2)Cover A or B by Dynamite Entertainment

Evil Ernie (Vol 2) Cover A or B by Dynamite Entertainment — Retail Value Unavailable

Evil Ernie was a 90s comic that was revived by Dynamite Entertainment. The title character is an undead psychopath resigned to hell. The series details Ernie, Smiley, and Mistress Hel’s misadventures. The art is vibrant and sinisterly fantastic! This comic is a New York Comic Con exclusive!

Entire Set of the Halloween Three Mask Buttons from April 2018 Box

Okay, guys. So, if you read my April BAM! Horror Box review, you would know that it did not include one of the Halloween 3: Season of the Witch pins I was truly hoping to receive! I was legitimately disappointed and reached out to BAM! about the missing pin. Not only did BAM! send me the pin I was missing, but they sent me ALL THREE PINS! HOLY SMOKES!

The Witch Mask pin was the rarest of the bunch; there were only 99 pins made and I received pin#5! I am absolutely elated!

The second limited edition pin in this series is of the Silver Shamrock Skull Mask from Halloween:3. I received number 15 from the 250 made. Pretty cool, right?

Finally, here is the last of the killer trio: The Pumpkin Mask. I can’t help but sing the Silver Shamrock song looking at these precious babies! I am so appreciative to BAM! for righting this issue perfectly!

Verdict: This month’s BAM! Horror Box was filled with items from comics and movies I haven’t seen, but I am still pleased with the selections. My favorite items by far were the “Legends” art print, Pinhead enamel pin, and the Larry Cedar signed 8x10! I also am incredibly pleased with how BAM! resolved the issue with my missing pins from last month! The customer service was top notch and I was pleasantly surprised to receive not one, but all three of the Season of the Witch pins! Too cool! I am eager to see what is in store for us next month’s BAM!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the August box. From Bam!:

Your box will ship on the 28th of every month. Please order by 5 pm on the 17th to get the current box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $26.99 + $7.99 shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box (not including the replacement pins from last month) has an average cost of $7.
