The book was pretty in-depth on pride month, and has a lot of little articles. I view it as part of the subscription but wish there were some kind of other pride items. The box is actually pretty solid, though beauty heavy this month. The actual descriptions for the subscription and last month’s box make it clear that beauty items are still a big part of the box. I can list item and price spoilers, it’s definitely worth it and has some interesting stuff I would have never tried like CBD lube and bath bomb.

Meh. I too thought I would be getting the first box and was probably the only person who bought it because of the pasties spoiler. This stuff just feels random and repetitive…other than the condoms and lubricant. Pride themed items could have made this box so much better. I wasn’t expecting a beauty box at all. 🙁

Just an FYI for those who want to cancel this sub….I had planned to cancel mine after the second box depending on what was in it, I just wanted to check it out for a few months. Imagine my surprise when I found on my card I had already been charged for July’s box on June 9th before I’d even recieved June’s box! So…..cancel now if you don’t want to be charged for August! (None of my other subs take my $ the month prior?)

Does Slutbox ship with Slutbox so the mail man see what the box is or is this box the Slut covered I am on the fence and want the box just do not want slut box to be seen by everyone small town small town minds so sorry to say and then I know people would at least have something to talk about LOL ?

Reply ButtonReply

Brandi

Yeah, it is in big white writing on a bright pink background. I thought it was funny my mail person put that side up against my house so no one could see it!

Reply ButtonReply

Christine H.

I live in a very small town, as well. But I still get the box. Mainly because I truly don’t care what they think lol. I know not everyone feels that way and I understand why. Perhaps that is one of the best things about growing “older”… you really do stop caring so much about what others think of you. Besides, if they wanna talk about you, they will talk about you…whether you get Slutbox or not. At least this way, you give them a little truth to gossip about LOL.

It’s on the outside of the box. It’s written in cursive across the front of the box. It starts small (with slut) and by the time it gets to box the words are big.
On the side it says my slutbox.com
I get SO MANY boxes, that I highly doubt my mail person even notices, it was stacked on my porch yesterday under two other boxes so I doubt he even paid attention. (Of course I’m not really that concerned who sees my box nor what anyone has to say about it. I also live in a small town! Let them talk! Lol)

I personally loved both boxes. I like the variety of products that I’ve received. I will say that I am disappointed that I keep getting condoms even though I stated on my survey that I don’t use any birth control. Like most of the commenters, I’m also disappointed that there was nothing pride related other than the booklet in the box. I’m hoping the box will continue to get better

I think this company is terrible, not just for the obvious reasons, but because I feel like there was some bait and switch with the May box. When MSA posted about Slutbox on April 28th I signed up that same day. There was a May spoiler and the Slutbox website gave no indication that I wouldn’t receive the May box. Then when MSA reviewed the May box, only then did I see that those who signed up after 12 pm on April 28 would receive the June box. And while the May box was disappointing enough, this June box is horrible for the $30 price point in my opinion. Did I miss something on the website during sign up stating I wouldn’t get the May box? Any others have this issue?

Anna

It’s stated on their FAQ about shipping on their site. Subscriptions opened on 4/6. MSA posted that subscriptions were open on 4/6 too.
The MSA post you’re thinking of was a spoiler post, to the best of my knowledge May’s box was sold out by 4/28. If a box isn’t sold out they’ll have a second shipment around the 20th (idk wording for sure I read this when I signed up)

Reply ButtonReply

Kelli

Thanks. I just looked back through my emails and when I signed up on 4/28 I received an email that I would be one of the first “sluts” to receive the box and that if I signed up after April 6th my box would ship by around May 15th. Don’t know why they would send me that if I wasn’t to receive the May box.

KelBam

Would have loved to see a pride tank (or tee) instead of those sunglasses!!
Wanted to sub to this, but I’m going to wait & see how the next one looks, as I said last month, since even though I would like to try some of the items here, there’s no fomo, especially since there’s no discount for the first box & just nothing that stands out to me to want to spend $30 on this box instead of one of the others I’ve been wanting to try out..

CJ

Love this box! I don’t care about themes, I just want cute stuff I will use for a good price and for 30$ this box does it compared to a few others I have tried.
Keep it up “Slut Box”!!! excited for the CBD bathbomb how awesome for “that time of the month pain” so excited to use it!! Stuff I wouldn’t buy I get to try!

Reply ButtonReply

TheOtherJulia

I don’t know. I just don’t see anything in here that makes me go “wow, I need this box!” Especially for $30. I’m still not sold on the name either, but I really like the idea. It seems odd that there is nothing geared towards pride as well. It just seems like maybe they’re still trying to get their footing on how this is going to be curated. I’ll keep watching and waiting to see what they do in the coming months. Hopefully they can figure out what they want to do, and really get a great box together.

The name of this is so degrading to women that I can’t even… Goodbye MSA, I can’t support a website that would review something like this just for the clickbait, even if it is junk. I have been called this name and this review does nothing but bring back humiliating situations. I won’t support a website that promotes degradation of women for “novelty” and the clicks.

Echoing others, it’s disappointing that there’s nothing actually PRIDE in this box.

This box reminds me of the Cosmobox in that they are not quite sure where they want to go. There’s nothing cohesive in this, and I think this could be something with a real niche market. I think this box would be better off just being a monthly magazine of empowerment, rather than trying to create a box that seems focus-less.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Have to second this point. Seems a like real missed opp that the June box doesn’t feature anything Pride related. Not judging, just saying that they may be overlooking at least 10% of their potential market. It would also address the ongoing need to find something new and different.

Liz, I thought that you was going to not allow comments on the Slut Box post?

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

We decided to not allow comments on the full spoilers/ review of the May box due to the nature of some of the items in that specific box. Sorry for any confusion!

Reply ButtonReply

Pilar

Oh okay, thanks now I understand and yes it was a misunderstanding from my part.

Redhed36

What is wrong with the comments? She asked what we thought of the spoilers and people are answering. From what I have read there has been no debating.

That lip balm is awful! I usually like the tingling effect of plumping products but the tingling of that balm was super painful for me

Janelle

I love the intensity of it, but to each their own. I’m hoping to find one on the swap section, as I lost the one I used to have.

Reply ButtonReply

Cat

I love it as well!

Danielle

I see those at Marshall’s & TJmaxx pretty often for about $3, I think.

Juliya

Looks like another beauty box to me … boring and unoriginal.

Reply ButtonReply

Lando

What a disappointment I was hoping I would would get some fun slot thing but instead I just got some ugly glasses and the same old stuff I get in my other beauty subscriptions. What a let down.

How’s this even NSFW? Lame.

I LOVE receiving this box. At first I was really hesitant but I get excited now. Usually I toss the paper stuff out of the way with boxes, but this is month two in a row that the positivity in the mini zene made me cry. There’s so much negativity around us, this is a little ray of sunshine for me every month. And I was raised in Georgia and am in a monogamous heterosexual closed marriage. Its just… Nice.

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory

I kinda hope that there’s so much love for the mini zene that maybe down the road they will print a full zene or have one online that you could read/subscribe to without even having to get the entire monthly box (I have no issues with the box, I’m just broke and can’t afford another box currently lol). Like you said, there’s so much negativity in this world and we could all use more positivity! 🙂

carenjanerahn

Right?! I was excited to see the cute sunglasses were more than the box by themselves! Everything else was a score! Fun stuff to try =)

Sherry

Received mine today and was quite underwhelmed…too heavy on the beauty products and literally nothing to do with the theme. A Pride tank top would have been amazing – or soemthing/anything w a rainbow! I’ll give it one more month and if it’s still missing the mark I’m out.

Reply ButtonReply

Brandi

I’m really disappointed. The theme of this month was supposed to be Pride, so I subscribed hoping I would get something cute I could wear for my city’s pride celebration next weekend. I don’t see how anything in this box is related to pride at all. Guess I will be canceling. I know boxes can kind of be loose in their interpretations of their themes, but it doesn’t seem like they gave it any thought at all.

No offense to anyone, but this should be renamed the “Crap Box”.

You should send all these comments to their customer service email address. Maybe the box would improve.

I guess I am just too old to understand the concept of this box. Just looks like a bunch of random things. Would love to see a #Metoo Box or something like that too me that is female empowerment, I know many of you do not, but I do kind of take issue you with a beauty box called “Slutbox” I just think there are other ways to speak female empowerment.

Barb

I’m turned off by the title too.

There’s an intersectional feminism box called Sanaya set! I love them so much I’m constantly telling people about them. Pricey but meaningful.

Reply ButtonReply

Ximena

This is a wonderful box(Sanaya Set)! I am so excited about their summer set!

Christine H.

Oh I had totally forgotten about this box! Thanks for the reminder! I just subbed and ordered the past Spring Box.

shari

Will look it up, would be great to see a beauty box that donates so much of their profit to female empowerment or to aid those who have been victims of sexual abuse.

ks

It just looks like yet another beauty box. Nothing seems very empowering in there. Major yawn fest.

Angie

This is my box,

I just put the lip balm on and WOW! so much tingle! Almost feels like i’m getting a tattoo on my lips. Not putting that on chapped lips.

The sunglasses are terrible. Look and feel cheap.

I needed cleanser so hopefully I like it.

Already tossed the condoms, i’m married and fixed so no need for those.

Love masks so that’s a winner.

Love bath bombs.

Love exfoliant.

The lip liner I may use.

They eyeliner is in a color I absolutely love so that will be used.

I don’t get hangovers so that is useless.

The little feather thing is so small and I don’t figure I would ever use that as intended. However my cat has been eyeing it so I may turn it into a cat toy.

Overall, glad I cancelled.

FYI…Took 10 minutes to write this, lips still burning.

My sunglasses are seriously fugly and dollar store cheap. They will be donated to one of my favorite toddlers for dress up.

I like it except for the Real Her product. It’s still worth the price. I wish I had bought the first one. Skincare is important to sluts too and I appreciate Amber Rose for recognizing how alluring good skincare can be.
